As a young working girl, wait that doesn't sound right... young professional? yes, the second one... Anyway, I have (had) one cashmere sweater and they put holes in it. They completely ruined it. My brother-in-law had picked up our dry cleaning (he got his suit cleaned, and it turned out fine, for what it's worth) before we were going out of town, so I didn't check the sweater until we got home. By then the receipt was gone, and I decided not to bother. With too many places closer to my house and work I don't think I'll be giving them another shot. read more

Worst owner ever. I came in with some questions along with my clothing, and just because I asked questions about her policies, she refused my entire order. I explained to her that I was asking the questions so that I would understand how things work. I excepted her policies, and I told her now that I understand how it works I accept your policies. LOST JACKET!! Peacoat jacket- easily $100 jacket. Brought it to get dry cleaned and they told me to be back on Thursday. Thursday comes and they don't have it!!! Apparently they forgot to grab it from the "main" store. We will see what happens tomorrow with my jacket. read more

So I spilled wine on one of my new dress shirts that I bought that was really expensive. I blotched it with cold water right away but I was still left with a red stain on it. So frustrated! I took it into ace cleaners and was skeptical about them getting it out. I spoke to the owner and she was really nice. She probably noticed I was annoyed with myself for ruining my shirt, but said they could get it out. When I came back to pick it up, I saw the stain was gone and my shirt was good as new! They have made a loyal customer and I will continue to bring my dry cleaning to ace cleaners! Awesome Job guys! read more

I brought my hat in to be cleaned by them. When I went in to pick it up I noticed that it was damaged before I even got into my car. When I brought it back Sysadmin try to tell me that it was damaged before I brought it in. She continued to agree with me telling that I brought it in. Here's my debate. If it were damaged when I brought it in wouldn't she have noted it somewhere on the tag? Right now she is talking to the owner about what they are going to do about it. Update: After a pretty long wait the owner Jim did absolutely everything in his power to fix it and when he couldn't he replaced the hat and showed very much compassion in the matter. ACE Cleaners is trying to accommodate the "times" we're in with this whole Covid situation and they're doing a fabulous job. I've taken my husband's shirts here for quite a while, turn around is usually pretty quick. Lately, understandably, it's been a bit longer. Recently though, when I waited WAY to long to bring the shirts in they were more than accommodating. Instead of the longer waiting period as of late, they said they'd get back at least a portion of them in a couple days. (there were 17 shirts!!) Anyway, I went to pick them up and to my surprise they were ALL ready. Like I said, I've been using them for quite a while. They're always friendly and the shirts come back nicely. My wife has gone to this cleaners for 2+ years and their work is ok (certainly not superior but acceptable). We experienced the normal periodic problems associated with cleaners but were generally satisfied. HOWEVER two weeks ago my wife went in to pick up my suit and they could not find it. The counter women said she would look for it and get back to us. She did not get back so my wife went again and this time she said that "your husband picked it up." The only problem with that is I have never been in the store. The long and short of it is that they will not do anything about my missing suit. I have called all three stores and asked for the manager to return my call to no avail. It seems that this is a family run business with family members at all the stores and they cover for one another. They have proven from my experience to not be a reputable business. I use to go to the one on Los Altos, but mother- in- law created her own prices. Tried to charge me extra $1.00 for regular white dress shirt. Said it was a heavy shirt. Said it was not any heavier I my back than any other shirt. Then tried extra dollar to dry cleaning slacks because they were tan and said they had to be spot sprayed. Said they had no spots, just dry clean. Refused unless I paid extra dollar. No where is it listed on their board. Started going to one on MCCarran & Longley for past 3 months. Dropped off new dress shirt in package. Girl refused to take it out of package, like every cleaner I have used for 30 yrs. She said she didn't have time, even though she just sits on tan couch all day. I have lost 3 of my very nice Tommy Bahama shirts, but can't prove it because I don't watch my tickets. Today she charged me double for dry cleaning. Said she thinks chemical prices went up. New sign out front says, " under new management." That is code for price gouging. I will be looking for new cleaners too. My old one that I loved was on corner of Vista & Baring, but when Denise left, so did I. Do yourself a favor and save yourself the headaches... read more

WORST DRY CLEANER EVER!!!! They" lost" my very expensive shirt for a week and when I got it back, it was ruined and of course...I was told it "was like that" when I brought it in. When I brought my daughters jacket in to be dry cleaned I was told, by an EXTREMELY RUDE LADY, that I would be charged $5 EXTRA....ON TOP OF THE REGULAR CHARGE.. because it had dog hair on it. THEN the lady went on to tell me that the dog hair would clog their machine and that it cost 10,000 just repair it. After that I was LECTURED on my daughter taking her coat off when petting the dogs. After the whole song and dance was over......she was going to charge me $22 dollars....FOR 1 CHILD SIZED COAT! I will never be back and I told all my friends to go any where but there! read more

After using this cleaners for years (it just happens to be the most conveniently located for me) and never being really overly impressed, I experienced a terrible incident with them and will never, ever go back there. To make a long story short, they "lost" 4 of my garments and instead of apologizing and trying to make it right, they gave me the run-around, ignored my phone calls and actually made me feel bad for pushing the issue. I left town and upon my return, I sent in my husband to try and "make things right" such as file a claim so that my loss could be reimbursed and believe it or not they "found" the items. Funny thing is, they never called me to tell me they had found them. I had left two phone numbers with them - so why didn't they call me? I thought I had found a cleaner that did good, but I was fooled again! I have no dispute over the cost of a laundered men's shirt, because they do a nice job, quick in reasonable. I took a pair of jeans (cowboy creases) in and had them done to take on a trip. When I took them out of my garment bag I noticed discoloration on the denim, and lacking enough jeans to last the trip, had to wear them. I took them back and explained what happened to the counter guy, and he's said, "Yeah, that's probably something in the wash." After an uncomfortable 30 sec silence, I asked to have them cleaned again. Then he presented me with a bill for the same jeans. (longer uncomfortable silence) I questioned it, and he relented and comped the jean cleaning. When I picked them up they were great! And now I have two pairs of different jeans, same strange miscoloring marks, no explanation! And this last time counter guy didn't greet me when I said, "Hello, picking up for ....." or say anything to me when I left. Am I mentally challenged to think this is wrong? Counter guy, what the heck? So I won't be back, but I did give them 2 stars since they performed on the shirts. Don't have western jeans taken there though! You've been warned, pilgrim! read more

Ace cleaners has been cleaning my suits and shirts for over 6 years. They consistently do a great job.

I brought our clothes here for a bit. They now seem to take every shortcut in the book. They won't accept credit cards, or will charge you a fee for doing so. They staple all the clothes you bring in. Wether it's to the tag or to the actual garment. They also sent me home with clothes that weren't mine. They will do be out of business for taking the cheap way and not taking care of their customers. read more

These guys ruined an express polo of mine and charged me for the cleaning of two other button-ups that were NEVER LAUNDERED! They came back just as wrinkled as they left. Wish I had read the reviews before going here. They advertise and have charged 1.75 a shirt for weeks. I paid today and noticed they had charged me 2.75 a shirt. The same gal has waited on me everytime I have gone in but she explained its because my shirts are x'large The 1.75 is for regular size shirts only. LOL its just bait and switch she waited tell I had been coming there for a bit and then tried to jack up the price. Horrible customer service and not the best cleaners anyway. Good pricing is NOT worth the terrible service. On 10-12 occasions my Ralph Lauren shirts have been returned with a hole. I'm told I must have ripped the hole. (Funny how the hole is never noticed prior to their cleaning, but always after) I made three requests to speak with the owner, but never heard back. I switched to Society Cleaners about 6 months ago, and have not had 1 shirt come back with a hole. I'll NEVER use ACE again, new management, or not. read more

This location is a "bait and switch" establishment. In their front window they advertise shirts laundered for $1.75 with no disclaimers. My wife just stopped here to drop off our clothes and found out that they charge $10.00 for using a card (not a charge for not having a $10 minimum, but an ACTUAL $10 charge to your card). After my wife told her that is ridiculous and that they should just incorporate the charge into their prices, the lady said to her "bye mama, bye bye mama" (my kids were with my wife at the time). This place is clearly trying to get cash for tax purposes, but to have these type of business practices towards your customers is unacceptable in our community. I have been a long term customer with Ace Cleaners. They have been cleaning my work shirts and personal items since they opened in Spanish Springs. This is a friendly family run business with very reasonable prices. Over the years there has been a couple discrepancies over missing items or stains that appeared after an item was cleaned. This is very rare considering the hundreds if not thousands of items I've had dry cleaned by Ace Cleaners. read more

This is the second time in less than a year that Ace's has lost a garment. I immediately noticed there was a large purple garment hanging with my clothes, so I pulled it out and stated that it didn't belong to me. I then counted and only had 3 of the 4 shirts that I had left the week earlier. When I brought it to the attention to the woman (the mother-in-law) at the counter she said, "mama not now, not this morning." This woman was so rude and literally told me that it was too early in the morning to ask her about my missing blouse. I asked what the standard operating procedure was for a lost garment and she kept barking, "not now ma'am, not now." I left without knowing how or if I'm ever going to see my garment again. This cleaner does a descent job and and for a great price but the customer service is simply horrible. I still have no idea how they plan to address my missing blouse as I was asked to leave her alone. Waiting for the owner to come into the Northwest location but I'm getting a sneaky suspicion that I'll never EVER see my blouse again. Proceed with caution. read more

Have been bringing my clothes here for quite some time. At first, quality was great. Recently, items are wrinkled -- I have to iron them to be presentable. After many complaints about the quality, I was finally told, "we're cheap, we just churn them out, and this is how they turn out". On top of this, they ripped a blouse. This place is the worst cleaners I have EVER gone to. Not only do they do a terrible job but the little old lady there needs to retire! She is rude, she cannot hear and asks your name 3 or 4 times. I was gouged $40 for cleaning four VALANCES (valances, not full drapery panels). Then when I got them back, 3 out of 4 fabric-covered buttons on one of the valances were missing. I was so angry that I figured there was nothing they could do to salvage me as a customer so I didn't even want to waste more of my time with this business. read more

Due to the experiences I have had with this business, they absolutely suck. They actually prefer that you bring them clean clothes to launder. When they can not clean a simple condiment spot on a shirt, the obnoxious lady at the counter blames the costumer for bringing in dirty clothes. I showed her the spot on the shirt, she marked it, she took my money, and she did she say there would be any issue with getting spot out. After picking up clothes, I specifically checked the shirt and it was not clean. When calling her out on the unclean shirt she became indignant that I showed her the shirt was not clean. They have ruined two shirts of mine in the past two months. I am done with them and I would certainly recommend anyone else to stay far away. I moved to Reno about 11 years ago. I have been using Ace cleaners exclusively for the past 7 years, maybe more, mostly for shirts. Sometimes I bring in 1, sometimes 2, sometimes 6. Up until yesterday, I had always been satisfied. Yesterday, I dropped off a shirt and was told it would be $2.75, not the $1.75 advertised in the window. When I complained the asian lady who works this store said it was because it was an extra large size shirt (XL), not regular size. I said it was the same size shirt I always brought in and that I had always been charged the regular price. She said that it was because they must not have notice before (for 7 plus years???). I was there, in a hurry, and needed the shirt done so I told her to go ahead but that I would never be coming back again and I won't. Exploit me once, shame on you. Exploit me twice, shame on me. So she made an extra dollar and lost a long term loyal customer who was maybe providing them 60-70 dollars a year. Great way to run a business. Mark up the price 57% for a larger size. read more
