I had to cut and slash to get it in my price range. Delivery in two weeks. Fine. I went home to figure out what went wrong. For a California King, Gilbert charged me for 2 queen size box springs. Should have been 2 twins. Received a phone call from Gilbert, delivery pushed back another two weeks. Any more delays and will cancel order and ask for refund. Best part of story is mattress delivered in third week by very courteous gentleman who set up new mattress and hauled away old mattress. From my personal experience, go elsewhere for a mattress. I do highly recommend their delivery team.

With an increase of online shopping, customer service has declined in many businesses, not at Howard's in Covina. I had put off replacing my fridge because I do not like online shopping (you don't know what you are getting). I am glad I came to Howard's. Edward has restored my faith in buying from local businesses. Thank you again so much for the great experience! Howard's offers great selection, exceptional service and their pricing will keep you from going elsewhere!

We told him we were just looking at that moment. He was very kind and accommodating. A couple weeks later, we purchased all four items mentioned above. Brandon remembered us and he gave us a great price for all the items together. We were undergoing a kitchen remodel and asked if we could leave the appliances there for a few weeks and he graciously let us. The kitchen remodel took longer than expected (nearly two months extra), and we checked in with Brandon periodically and he still let us keep our items there for that long. The appliances were very low cost to deliver to us ($70 total for all 4 pieces since it was one trip). Prior to delivery, he tested each and something was needed for one of the pieces, so he called and let me know with full disclosure, which delayed the expected delivery a few days, yet he gave us an extra item repair because of the delay, and he got those 4 appliances to us when we needed them. Everything worked great, except we had an issue with the oven door of our induction range not closing fully, which prevented the oven from working. I called them and they promptly (within 3 days) had a mechanic contact me to fix the issue at no charge. Overall the experience was fantastic. I highly recommend this place.

My husband and I decided to see what this place was all about since we were looking to get a fridge…read moreand oven. They have TONS of refrigerators but the oven selection was quite minimal. At least for freestanding gas stoves. We picked out a fridge. Did some research on it. Good deal. Half off. Great! Now for the oven.. again DO YOUR RESEARCH and go with your gut! Once you pay with them, your money is gone forever. They had two identical gas stoves with a model number that did not match up with the actual unit itself. It said it was a $3800 oven with wifi, dual fuel, etc. for $1600 and all these specs that didn't come close to describing it. Online was describing one thing but the unit itself was another. Yes it's my fault for even going ahead with the purchase and I couldn't even tell why I didn't shut down the deal. Sheer desperation? I really needed a stove right in that moment I guess. Let me repeat. Do your research and say something. If I could ever feel so bad about a purchase, it's this stove. Paid over $1600 for a convection oven, no wifi, no bells a whistles. Just a plain old gas stove made in 2019. Plus, it did not come with the griddle so there's another $80 and the small simmer burner cap is for a different stove so it doesn't light most of the time so there's another $20 if I can find the right one. Look up what $1600 gets you in the gas oven world. Bitchin' ovens with air fryer and some with sous vide. As someone who enjoys cooking, yea this hurts and in a bad economy every dollar counts. Oh well. But don't trust this company to be totally accurate. Stuff happens. Would I buy from them again? 100% I would! The service was fabulous! No complaints about it.

The delivery, install, carry away and all the associated services were outstanding. Great place to buy. Next on my list from this spot is a 36 inch gas range to be installed in January. Highly recommended. Side note: The Bosch is worth the extra money. The one we picked has a decibel rating of 42. That is super quiet and just a tick above their quietest unit that is rated at ~36dbl. So far, we absolutely love this unit. I laughed at the app pairing, but I did it anyway and it's pretty cool. Tells you the water used, the kw used and other metrics. Pretty neat and it lets you set the time to start a load so we've been doing 2am start, so we wake to clean dry dishes. Leo the installer is top notch. Great super nice guy.

Our project consisted of pouring 2 concrete slabs (1 along the side of the house and a second in the backyard), planting a boarder trim, and installing sprinkler systems in our back and front yard. Joel and crew completed all parts of this project with attention to detail and communicated effectively throughout. First and foremost, I have to give a huge shout out to the team lead managing the concrete part of our project. His attention to detail in recommending ideal drain setups in the sections where water had pooled in the past are exactly why we went Joel - we want to do things right the first time. After chatting with Joel, we installed the recommended drains, preventing a potentially expensive fix down the road. The rest of the project was completed with professionalism and Joel was great in communicating and working with our needs. Our one constructive feedback is that we did not receive a mock-up of the project before work was underway. We had a few last minute changes (the width of the trim around the backyard and the size of the mulch area in the front yard), but Joel & team communicated effectively and worked with us to make sure our needs were taken care of. All in all, we are so happy with our completed project. The level of professionalism, attention to detail, and our new back/front yard makes us confident that we made the correct choice in choosing Joel for our project. Thank you!

BRING ON THE SUPER EL NINO!…read more Joel and Sons recently completed a much overdue project at our home. For years, our outside drains were clogged, and I found myself setting up pumps during the storms to get the pools of water away from our home. Every year, I would tell myself that I would get the drains cleared. Before the rains came this past winter, I hired a company to hydro jet the pipes. They tried to clear the drains, but because they were so clogged, their equipment failed. Again, I was setting up the pumps during the rain storm. So, I researched and found Joel and Sons. I met Joel and he examined our front/back yards. He gave an excellent and fair estimate that would fix the drainage problems. Throughought the entire project, Joel sent videos of the work being performed. He and the crew went above and beyond to make sure we wouldn't have any future issues. I am so impressed by Joel and Sons, and I will call them again for future projects. More importantly, I will make referrals to my family and friends.
