The drywall I still have to fix.
Benjamin G.

We needed our cast iron pipes under the house replaced and asked multiple companies for quotes (we hired Accurate Leak and Line). Three companies provided a quote and two (Accurate Leak and Line being one) quoted about $30K (the 3rd quoted about $40K). Accurate Leak and Line was the only one quoting a flat fee while the others gave an estimate that could change depending on what they might find. Clayton was the first rep that came on site for the quote and has been very responsive during the whole project. The work was completed in 8 business days and passed city inspection (which tells me the plumbing work was good). The crew did an amazing job cleaning up! You wouldn't know that they were ever here. Two (minor) complaints/opportunities for improvement that did not justify taking a star off: 1) After the tunnels were dug and the plumbers came, they had to go in and out of the house a lot to work in the bathrooms for the pipe replacement. They had to go through a room with carpet and it would have been nice if they had put down a tarp or something as their shoes were pretty dirty from all the dirt by the tunnels they had to walk through. 2) They worked on some pipes for the washing machine as repairs were needed since the previous owner did not do things to code. The work was included in the price, but they had to cut the drywall and it is up to me to repair the wall. They did state they could recommend someone, but it would have been nice if they would have subcontracted that internally to leave me with a completed job. Might not be something the industry does generally so that's why I would not consider this as a complaint but more an opportunity for improvement.

The hole along our foundation that they left exposed for 23 days.

Excellent, no nonsense and confident service. Several things to note. His price, at $110 is…read moreexcellent. His prices for parts were a bit on the high side, so my bill was slightly higher than anticipated because we needed lots of, yes... parts. However, he came the next morning at 8:00 a.m. Is very professional, and courteous and I felt comfortable with him. He also did an excellent job and left the space clean. I'll pay extra for that. And next time, maybe I won't need parts, ha! Truly--highly recommend.

Honestly the work is good...as it should be from a master plumber…read more The issue I have is the issue I've had with literally every plumber ever. They've got you over a barrel when they come out and start throwing parts. This was an install of a drop in kitchen sink and faucet. He told me his hourly rate was 135 bucks. I was expecting to spend about 400 maybe 500. The final bill was 850. I feel I was overcharged on both the parts and labor. He charged me starting 45 min before he got there but still included a "truck charge." The removal and replace of the sink took 2 hours. To me the "clock" starts on the labor at the agreed upon arrival time. When I'm getting charged 439(!) bucks for parts on top of the sink and faucet itself, that extra charge for labor is quite unwelcome. I mean the sink and faucet itself that were "nice" were like 500 bucks. So almost that again just in parts. ‍ His answer in general as I look at these reviews is that he buys his parts from a plumber supply not Home Depot etc. I would have to research each individual part to see if its price point is "fair". A perusal of solid brass fittings and pvc p traps on the Lowe's site shows the price I paid was about doubled. He acted quite insulted that I wouldn't know just how much better his parts were and implied they were all but unavailable at big box stores. literally doubling what I expected to pay was quite a shock to say the least. It is what it is. If I was able to do it myself, I would've. Live and learn Learn a trade kids lol

Helped fix my washing machine. Straight to the point and no unnecessary estimates. Would recommend.read more

Rooterman has changed over the years and, unfortunately, not in a good way. My first review of them…read morewas in 2015 so that tells you that I have been a customer for a very long time. The focus of this review is the water heater that they installed on 1/26/23. As you can see from my other reviews, the water heater that was installed before that one was in 2016. 7 years is a reasonable amount of time for a water heater to last. The problem is that the anode rod is failing in this current one. Edie came out and drained it on June 29th. We are not currently living there. In fact, the house is for sale. The problem was the hot water was turning yellow. He said to run the hot water, especially in the tub upstairs once a week, which we have been doing despite living across town now. Guess what? The hot water is yellow in tint again. Here's the rub. At the top of my receipt it says 50 gallon water heater, 6 year essential warranty. Fast forward to yesterday. Garrett comes out and notes the yellowish tint in the hot water. So, he says he can maybe replace the anode rod for about $500. He also says I can try calling AO Smith to see if they will send a new water heater and they will install it for about 2K. So, this is like going to a mechanic and a part fails and they say, why don't you call the company and see if they will send you a new part? I am pretty sure that is not a thing. By the way, he tried to get the anode rod out and it is welded solid in there. I told him we would give a credit to a potential buyer but after talking to my husband I realize that is not a good approach. It is already a brutal market to try to sell a home. So, I am faced with having to replace it although I have a document that says at the top 6 year essential warranty. That makes no sense. I will have to bid it out and Rooterman will not be on the list. They replaced the heater in 2016 and then again in 2023. I had no qualms in having them install it in 2023 because they had my complete trust. This is no longer the case. I no longer recommend Rooterman Plumbing. I gave them 2 stars because they used to do a good and honest job for me. I no longer feel that this is the case.
