Three lil' piggies quesabírria with consumé

Best Mexican food in the Northwest! Been coming here almost every week for 3+ years and the flavor blows my mind every time. Favorite place to show off to friends that visit.

Carne Asada, cucumber margarita

Went back again for dinner the other day!! Carne asada was amazing and the cucumber margarita was so refreshing. The guac was something you have to get -- Will be back!!

Best mushroom tacos I've ever had!!! I'm vegetarian, so have tried all kinda of veggie tacos. The hongo (mushroom) tacos here were so good. They came out steaming hot, with big meaty chunks of mushroom. The corn tortillas tasted freshly made. They also have a nice salsa bar. Everything was so fresh. This place is awesome! I'll definitely be back. Super nice people too.

Really really good Mexican food in Greenwood! The best I've had in Seattle for sure. The salsa bar was amaaaaaazing, with 8 salsas available! Two of them were so good that we refilled our little cups. Definitely get the chips so you can try all the salsas. The flavors are authentic and the portions are huge! Prepared to be full. The veggie chile relleno was big and well-cooked, but I wasn't a fan of the earthy veggies inside and the sauce wasn't as flavorful as I would have liked. Dropping a star for this, but the gorditas and other dishes looked better! The staff is super kind. They sell their salsas to-go too! I'd definitely come back. The menu is a bit pricey, but it's good Mexican food in Seattle and the portions are so big that it's like two meals in one! :)

La Rocco and cheese pupusa plate 10/10

Always a hit! Love the gorditas and pupusas. Salsa is always fresh and on point, so many choices, something for everyone.

The food was amazing and I highly recommend this place. At most restaurants the rice and beans really aren't great but here, the rice was fluffy and both rice and beans were quite tasty. My birria tacos were really good and my parents enjoyed the carne asada. We're in town from the San Francisco Bay Area and I'm glad we found them. Picture taken after realizing the food was great and I had to write a review.

Nice chicken tortilla soup. Enjoyed it to bits. Was just walking around Greenwood and felt like having a soup for lunch and here you go.

Ordering kiosks inside, not a lot of in person contact. (Perfect for some) The menu options are great. They have a "create your own" plate option, which I got. I ordered 1/2 teriyaki chicken and 1/2 sesame chicken, with brown rice. The meal was $14. If you ask me, that is a hell of a deal! The portion size was pretty hearty. Wait time said 14 minutes, but it was only around 10 minutes. The teriyaki was my fave of the 2 chicken entrees. The meat was thick, juicy and flavorful. (No gross fatty pieces!) The sesame was good too, but next time I would get a full order of the teriyaki alone. In, out, delicious food, good portion size and a decent price! What more could you ask for!!?

My husband, who prides himself as being a Korean who can handle a high spice level was SWEATING eating the spicy chicken. Granted, the menu does warn that it's very spicy, but he was not expecting this level of heat. He was only able to get through about half the meal and commented that he was glad he didn't have work the next day. (If you know, you know.) I'm not sure if this was just an exceptionally spicy batch, or if it's normally this spicy, but be warned! They're not messing around when it comes to the heat. The edamame was also just so-so. It's a bummer that out of the two times we've come here, we've only enjoyed 1 out of their 4 sides. Combining our first and second experience, I think this is a solid 4-star spot. Good for a takeout meal, if you order the right thing.

Sometimes I come here while my car is across the street in the shop…read more I have always thought that their food items were HELLU overpriced. Their breakfast sandwich is literally $13 for a $5 sandwich. Today I had a simple drip coffee. This was $5.77 Then, you notice a jar for tips, and it has a sign that says, "You have already tipped, but jar is for more tips if you want to" So, yeah.... This means already damn expensive items having tipping built on top of the pricing, and the biggest issue is that you are tipping without your own choice, AND it is done before you have even received ANY service. Wait a minute.. there actually IS NO SERVICE. You order at counter. You operate the card reader yourself. The woman behind counter lifts a coffee pot, and pours it into your cup. That is literally all she does. Then you... go to the other counter to add your own cream. Nobody has come to my table to ask me if I want anything else, or how is everything, etc. Don't correct to clear your own table, because they have it set up for you to do that to. I forgot to mention the creamer was spoiled, so the coffee was not drinkable.

It's a decent amount of biscuit with large chunks of ham and there plenty of seating to relax and enjoy the morning that isn't hustle and bustling like in downtown. I walked further to the metro bus stop down the street and was tempted to check the local dispensary on the next block but ran out of time. Will come back with friends, plenty of coffee dates and conversation were happening within but this solo adventure was just as enjoyable.

got the Notorious PIG sandwich and the Buttermilk Biscuit while I was here…read more Starting with the sandwich, there were a ton of things to love about this The very first thing I noticed was how all-time crispy the pork belly was. Interestingly, the meat came in two separate pieces, arranges somewhat like an X or a cross in the middle of the sandwich. This certainly wasn't the eating experience of a typical sandwich with a circular meat patty, and I appreciate the creativity here. The meat was insanely crunchy, oily, and quite plentiful. Each bite felt a bit like you were biting into a crunchy churro, but without the sweetness. I did think the outside of the pork did overpower the inside, though, as I didn't taste the meat or the fat inside much, and due to the amount of breading the pieces ended up being a bit chewy The bun was quite good as well - it was pretty soft, fluffy, and served as a really good bookend to all the ingredients inside. I thought the lettuce and onions also were good. I don't know if I'm a fan of the jelly on the sandwich - but again, I do like the creativity. What did shine here was the aioli, however. In a lot of places, you don't really taste the aioli on a burger - but that flavor was ever-present on this sandwich, and it was really fantastic. The absolute best part of the meal, by far, though, was the biscuit I have to start with how huge this is. This is certainly not the size of a typical Southern-style buttermilk biscuit - rather this biscuit makes no apologies in its effort to stand out from the crowd. Absolutely nobody would mistake this for a traditional biscuit - on the contrary, I think on first glance most people would assume this isn't a biscuit at all. It's shaped more like a massive pastry. I hesitate to say that looks are deceiving, because it does look great, but its taste manages to elevate past that. This was SO good. The edges are baked perfectly - they're oily, crispy, crunchy, and perfectly flaky. All four sides provide an amazing base - like the walls of a fortress that surround the soft, tender interior of the biscuit. You can see the different layers from the outside as well. When it comes to the inside, there was so much to get through but every bite was heavenly. So much credit here goes to the honey butter - which when spread onto the biscuit, raises the taste level of the entire thing. I put so much honey butter on mine that I nearly finished the whole thing. When it came to the jam, it was good, but since it didn't combine great with the honey butter I mostly ended up just using the latter This place was expensive - around 16 dollars for the sandwich and 8 for the biscuit - however, I was quite full at the end

Overall, I would come back just for the sugarkelp pita because the other dishes are quite overpriced for what you get. The sugarkelp pita, as the name suggests, is a bit sweet and has seaweed. The umami and sweetness just works perfectly and the dip of carrot shmoo and salsa macha is addictingly good. The salmon bowl is a glorified rice bowl / bibimbap-like where you can make the bowl complete by mixing everything. The salmon is quite tender and fresh, but outside of that, for $36 it is quite steep, especially since the salmon is very tiny Service is okay - there is a lack of attention with water refills spilling the table and when I paid my card, the server placed the card directly on top of some food dropped in the table... but requests are fulfilled and food comes out at a relatively fast pace.

There was so much cheese and basil. Every bite tasted like you were eating whole basil leaves which gave it almost a perfumy flavor. There was so much cheese the dough was soggy. The aloha was a bit better but it would be a stretch to say it was good. The pineapple was literally crunchy (like it was the core pieces of the pineapple). Gave it to me in the ORIGINAL grocery store packaging like I'm some kind of handout. GROSS! Original review: There's two dedicated spots for the restaurant right in front on busy Phinney Ave so that was nice but other than that, not impressed. Got take out on a Friday night around 5 pm and we were the only ones there. We ordered the lamb gyro and the chicken shawarma salad. I didn't have the lamb but was informed that it was not very flavorful or good. My chicken shawarma was well seasoned but had a bad chicken smell to it, like it was uncleaned. Also the workers were extremely sloppy and haphazardly gave me two pitas that were leftovers in the packaging (see in attached photos). That was the final nail on the coffin because who is that lazy and left me with so many questions about the quality of their food. It's not great from a food safety or presentation standpoint as the bag was already opened and I don't know how long they've had it/ who's handled it. Overall, I don't trust their safety or quality here and I will not return.
