My insurance company handled the finding and scheduling the towing of my car, I called on a Sunday and requested a tow for Monday morning to my mechanic when they opened. My insurance called me back and told me it was scheduled from 9 am - 11am on Monday morning. To my pleasant surprise I got a call at 9:03 from Able Towing saying that the tow driver was on its way from the next town over. The driver had my car on his truck by 9:35 (He was a younger guy and was professional. He offered me a ride to my mechanic or to take my key, I asked him to just take my key). My insurance company texted me at 9:50 that the service was complete and the driver had dropped my car off at my requested location. With all that said, I'm very thankful to Able Towing that this went so smoothly. No one wants to get their car towed, but they took some stress off of me and made it quick and painless. read more

I worked for Able Towing under "training" for 3 weeks. Whereby I was held accountable for all "training damages" committed and reprimanded with "phantom write-ups" courtesy of Manager/Owner of Able. This company denied me the money they say in their handbook (see photos above) and when questioned on it the Owner exclaimed with ANGER that it was a mistake that the handbook was given to me. His wife claims it is the only handbook available. Able Towing likes to lie, cheat and steal from their employees, I personally wonder what they do to their customers. After confronting Able Towing on their pay policies I was put down, criticized, slammed and threatened to be sued by the Owner should I contest anything that happened. This is a perfect example of how a "Fly-By-Night" operation will cheat you out of what is yours. Able Towing and all who work there are not to be trusted. While working there I learned that they lie to customers, employees and INSURANCE companies so that they come out on top. Some shady business practices going on here - I have also reported them to the BBB and State of California Consumer Services. STAY AWAY read more

Excellent service! My car broke down on Green Valley Rd in Fairfield, in the middle of the road. I was able to pull it somewhat to the curb but it is very busy street, so super scary. I called for help and they got there in about 15 minutes. Awesome service. The driver, Marc, was very nice, polite and ready to help. I was so grateful he got their as quick as he could. He also went out of his way to make sure my car was left in the most desirable position so it would be easier for my husband to get to. Highly recommend! read more

DESERVE ZERO STARS!!!!! THESE PEOPLE ARE THIEVES WHO WILL RAID YOUR CAR AND TAKE After having my car towed by this company with my wallet in the car, I was asked to show proof of identification with was fine with me. Being that my wallet was left in the car, the employee made me identify where my wallet was, while he went to my car to "check for my wallet." As I began to become a little suspicious I went out towards the yard, where i was screamed at and threaten by an older gentlemen who had obviously been watching from some cameras. He threaten me and told me to go back towards the office. Meanwhile the other employee tells me that he couldn't find the wallet, but as soon as he pulls the vehicle up, I open the middle console and there was my wallet, laying on top of everything, ALL CREDIT CARDS OUT, AND ALL THE MONEY MISSING. After confronting the employee who was a middle aged Caucasian male, he told me to not get my car towed to avoid this in the future. Police where called and report was filled. AVOID BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. There Lott is a total junkyard too. read more

They definitely were there when my car got towed. It was no problem even though it wasn't a open business day. I got my car impounded by the CHP on a Saturday and the officer had let me know it should be no more than $400 to retrieve my car because they can't charge me for having it stored on Sunday since it's not an open business day. Unfortunately when I arrived the man said I could not drive my car out unless I paid $510 trying to charge me for four days(including Sunday) even though it had only been there for Saturday and Monday morning. Regardless of me letting him know he isn't charging me right he didn't care. Even when my s/o approached the situation he still refused to charge us the correct price until I brought a dmv state worker I knew over and tried to apologize saying "he didn't see" it was only for two days when it clearly states it on my discharge papers from the CHP. BEWARE THEY WILL OVER CHARGE YOU IF YOU DONT KNOW YOUR LAWS. read more

If I could give no stars, this place would get it. I was rear ended on the hwy last week and it left my car not drivable. CHP called for a tow (not AAA) and Able towing showed up. My boyfriend called our insurance company who requested our car be towed to the shop where it would be repaired. The driver said he wouldn't take it there unless I paid him $200, but he'd take it to his tow yard (which was at least 10 miles further) and I wouldn't have to pay him. Get my insurance co on the phone and they confirmed the auto shop would pay him when he arrived. We went round and round, with the tow driver being more concerned with making money than treating the customer right. Finally (after at least 30 min of going back & forth with him, my insurance co, and the body shop) he agreed to take it to the body shop. Fifteen minutes after he leaves with my car, the body shop calls and says the tow driver wouldn't leave the car with them and took it to his yard anyways. He threw a tantrum because even though this very reputable body shop had the company credit card #, the physical card wasn't there. (It was with the manager, who authorized the payment in the first place). So basically the tow driver stole my car from where he was authorized to take it. Con artist... Beware of these guys. They are only out to make more money off you by charging you storage fees when it's unnecessary. DON'T USE!!!!! read more

Just dropping a big thank you to Jesse from Able Towing. Jesse was prompt and displayed great customer service!

Terrible. They always have an excuse. My new Kia vehicle came with roadside and they called this company. That call was made 3 hours ago and we were given a 60 minute eta. We've called three times now and have been given the following excuses in no particular order: one of our trucks broke down, we have a new driver who won't know how to tow your vehicle, and all of our drivers are out of the area. Here's the thing...my car has a dead battery and won't take a jump. Towing it isn't rocket science. If you have no available truck or drivers, why accept the service call if you can't fulfill it? Now I'm already late for the service appointment at the dealership and they don't seem to care. read more

He was there before the scheduled time was efficent and did a great job getting us home!

As a police dispatcher I deal with Able towing dispatch almost every night. Today my daughters car broke down and I got the pleasure of meeting tow truck operator Spencer! Yes I said pleasure! What a nice guy. I mean sincere, honest, friendly and a pleasure to work with. He opened the car, hooked it up and then we chatted for a few. Very personable. Able is lucky to have a man like him representing them! Keep up the good work. Ps remember the Jeep key trick we both learned today!! read more

It's the day after Thanksgiving, we finally had an opportunity to take our boat out to the lake and the wheel bearings went out on I-505--BUMMER! We contacted Able Tow who had a driver, Ken, in the area. Ken arrived and took great care in assessing the situation and in getting our boat and trailer loaded onto the flatbed. He went above and beyond in verifying it was secure to transport. From our initial phone contact through the safe delivery our boat and trailer by Ken to our driveway, Able Towing was professional, polite, prompt and courteous in assisting us. We highly recommend Able Towing should you find yourself in need of roadside assistance! Thank you Ken and Able Towing! read more

The guy who showed up this morning to tow my motorcycle was top notch. My road service (AMA, all motorcyclists should have them) dispatched them. They showed up quicker than the 60 minutes promised. Guy who showed up was in a good mood. Knew what he was doing, clearly explained what he wanted me to do, etc. He was quick to make space in the truck for my bag and helmet and was very polite about it. Best tow I've ever experienced. While I hope I never need a tow again, if I do, I hope this guy shows up. Can't comment about dispatch or payment - Road Service took care of all that. read more

My son was taken advantage of by this company. His car needed to be towed to a body shop over the weekend. The tow truck guy said he would tow his car to the tow yard and drop it off at the body shop when they were open on Monday. My son paid to have it towed. At 4pm on Monday my son gets a call to say he has to pay an additional $150 to release his car from the yard. Tow truck driver never said a word about him having to pay an additional fee. If that was the case, he would have had it towed to his house. You should be ashamed of yourself taking advantage of a young man. read more

Awesome service! My car broke down at work, was met earlier than expected and Glen had a great artitude, great customer service and agreed to hook up my car, drop it at the dealer with the key and everything, all I had to do was sign and go home. I had a bit of an odd situation today with my key fob breaking, no spare, and no one being able to fix it until after the 4th of July, so I had to get my car towed home. I called a bunch of different tow services and Able quoted me the lowest out of everyone, and the receptionist was polite through all three of my calls, including when I accidentally hung up on her. They came before the quoted time, and Tyler (I think?!) was fantastic. The tow went smoothly and they made a very stressful situation a lot less so. Definitely recommend Able! read more

DO NOT USE this tow company.... You have been forewarned. My sister had to have her Dodge Ram Truck towed to dealership for repairs. The insurance company called this tow. When the guy arrived to her home he put her truck on the flatbed facing backwards. He told her he shouldn't travel with it in the position so she told him to turn it around facing the correct way. He told he didn't have to long of a drive and left with the truck in his possession. She received a call from the driver stating there was a problem. The driver asked her to call his boss and not to call her insurance. Of course she called her insurance first then the tow driver boss second. Basically, while the truck was being towed on freeway the wind caught the Tonneau Cover on the truck bed and ripped it off causing major damage to the truck. The cover landed on the freeway and thankfully did not cause an accident or injury to others. When the truck was delivered to the dealership, the truck was now facing forward with the cover stuck in the truck bed. The driver not saying a word. When my sister called the tow truck driver's boss, he told her they were NOT responsible for the damage done on her truck and refused to give her their insurance information. Now, she has to go through her insurance paying a $500 deductible and her insurance will go after the tow company. This tow company is unsafe, unreliable, liars, dishonest and any other negative description. They do not deserve a half a star .... Shame on you Abel Tow Service, you shouldn't be in business and will be turned in to BBB. BY THE WAY, THE ESTIMATE FOR DAMAGE ON TRUCK IS CLOSE TO $5,000.00 read more

Absolutely un professional!! No compassion from these people at all. CALL AROUND to other tow companies that wont charge you every cent they can and take advantage of you. read more

Summary- Don't use this company! They are unprofessional, untimely and have questionable business practices (please see below for details). After my Toyota Prius broke down on the highway (very scary and devastating), my insurance company called Able Towing to transport my car. I was texted that the eta would be 45 minutes. Unfortunately, the driver showed up about two hours later. My car was initially towed to a Toyota in Fairfield on a Wednesday evening. After Toyota quoted me an absurd repair price, I decided to have my car towed into a repair shop in San Francisco the following day (Luscious Garage- their awesome! see my and others review). When the driver contacted me I informed him that I was at work and asked if they can accept payment over the phone. He said yes. Once again, it took the driver over two hours to get to the repair shop. When he arrived, I gave him my credit card information as discussed. My bank blocked the transaction because it had been swiped multiple times for the same amount. I called my bank and informed them that this was a legitimate expense and to authorize payment and they did so Once again, it was ran two times and went through both times (I had kept my credit card agency on the line to confirm this). I contacted the tow driver to see if everything was ok and was directed to call the company office. The woman who answered the line said they couldn't accept payment if the person was not in-person. Since when?! You already swiped my card four times. Furthermore, please keep in mind that I had confirmed this with this with the driver. When I stated that the driver had said the opposite, she raised her voice toward me and stated "who gives their information over the phone? We don't do that!". You don't do that? Well, welcome to the twenty first century because companies have been doing this for a very long time. Moreover, why did your driver inform me that you did? She threatened to have my car towed back to F airfield. I insisted that she don't do that. At this point she offered to fax me an authorization form (well, shucks why didn't you offer this from the very beginning instead of berating me). She sent the form, I filled it out, made a copy of my ID (which was all of a sudden requested) and sent it to their office. Of course, I informed my insurance company of the incident. They informed me that they will look into this. No one deserves to be disrespected, especially while dealing with a frustrating situation such as a car break down. read more

This place is horrible and liars don't use them. I have wrote a personal email to all the VP of my insurance company about how horrible they are responding to incidents not only was I lied to about how long I would have to wait for a tow (60 minutes) when I called to see where the tow truck was at after 75 minutes the girl Nicole said oh sorry 90 minutes was the ETA I had the text that stated 60 minutes from my insurance company. I can't believe with all the bad reviews I was reading while waiting for them. so I made a yelp just to let you know how much they suck. I call again she answers the phone laughing trying to catch her breath. This place is horrible don't go to them unless you need a battery hahaha like all the good review they have. I think that's what they should stick to batteries only. However have fun trying to get them to tell you the truth DONT USE THEM THEY ARE LIARS read more

Ken came way faster than expected. Infact, he had to wait 10 minutes for me. Their service was part of the Meineke Roadside Assistance from my oil change -so free to me. Anyway, Ken was totally cool, fast and very respectful of my old heap. I really thought today was ending in the worst way possible, but my dead car was a 45 minute problem that Ken took care of, got to my mechanic and they'll have a diagnosis in the morning for me. Yeah and thanks Ken! read more

I wish I could leave no stars. This place is full of nothing but thieves and little girls who can't handle doing their job in a professional manner. I have never in my life been treated the way Able towing handles their business. These people are more than unprofessional and do not deserve anyone's business. They don't even know how to treat a paying customer. Basically my $40,000 car was held hostage because Able towing cannot communicate with their customers. I got into an accident on the highway and was not able to drive my car due to bumper damage scraping the ground. I was so upset I forgot I had roadside assistance so the police called Able to come get my car. Later on in the day I set up for my roadside assistance to go get it from able and take it to the dealer to be fixed. My roadside assistance shows up and Able refuses to give them my car because of course they want moola in their hand. To my knowledge my car was picked up and taken to the dealer. Didn't hear anything for a day so decided to call and was then informed that Able wouldn't give it to my roadside assistance. Able never called and said "hey we still have your $40,000 car in our pathetic junk yard" obviously to rack up as many fees behind your back as possible (that's what thieves do). I try to arrange to come get my car and they proceed to tell me only my husband who owns the car can come get it with cash in hand. Well my husband was on deployment serving our country so that was impossible. I begin to ask questions because I have never been in a car accident or anything like this, I did not know how things work. Some woman as I'm asking questions screams in the phone and calls me an idiot and hangs up on me. Um hello idiot you have my expensive car that obviously I am going to ask questions over to get it out of your piece of crap tow yard. I call back and ask if that is how you treat paying customers and ask to speak to the supervisor. Of course "Charles" was unavailable and would call me. Well hours and hours go by nothing. Long story short I went through hell to get my car back 19 days later and had to pay $1500, and has more damage from improper towing from the accident scene. I will talk poorly about this business for the rest of my life. I suggest the head honcho fire the rude little girls (actually surprisingly 50 year old hags) he has working for him and hire people that have respect and quality customer service. Maybe then you can make honest money and get out of the little trailer you run your business out of. Good luck with that! This sounds like a rude review but believe me you have no idea what I have been through with these people. It has been the worst experience of my life. I am honest and have high respect for businesses that are ethical and have professionals working for them. I was treated so poorly by this place I got a Yelp account just so I could give them an honest review and warn every single person out there about them. read more
