The only deceiving thing about the café is its name, "Aberdeen." My daughter and I ordered our usual dim sum dishes: siu mai, spicy chicken feet, sesame balls, soybean wrap, beef cheong fun, and sticky rice in lotus leaf (lo mai gai). Tasty and hot. If you like hot chili oil, be sure to ask for it. The restaurant is on the smaller side, but cozy. We were very pleased with both the service and the taste of the food.

Pork soup dumpling. So delicious.

Pork soup dumpling. The woman working was so kind as well. Definitely will be coming back to try more.

Asked for Chili Oil and received this. Had to ask again since it was gone after dipping the Shiu Mai a few times.

Good Dim Sum?! I don't think so! Unlike the other peoples' Reviews, my personal experience eating here was quite disappointing. I don't know about others, but the food we ordered were mostly inedible. For instance, the Sesame Balls were basically mini size! 4 little pieces on a small plate compared to 4 BIG ones at other Chinese Dim Sum restaurants for the same price. The Chicken Feet my wife ordered smelled extremely bad! She took one bite and had to stop eating because it tasted sour and rotten.... I requested 2 orders of Pork Shiu Mai, Pan Fried Pork Buns, and an order of Green Onion Pancake. Let's just say all of those tasted funny, tasted a little old and dry. Not sure if the Chef had a bad day or if they actually tried to cook up old leftover food to serve.... The only 2 good food items were the Steamed Pork Spare Ribs and Honey Garlic Chicken with Rice, if I am being honest. The Ambiance is so-so. Very small space with a few tables that you can sit at. I am sure most people order food To-Go if they get food from this restaurant. Additionally, expect service to be slow since ours was.... I believe there's only an older Chinese lady who takes orders, and serves the customers. So, you'll be waiting a while to get your food, utensils and refills on water. The Chili Oil tasted a bit salty than spicy for me. They are stingy with the portion sizes and napkins at this establishment. We were surely disappointed after reading the 4 and 5 Star Reviews that were left on Yelp that we had to go to a different restaurant to finish eating our lunch in order to be satisfied. My Wife and Son barely ate anything since the food didn't taste good to them. I would recommend a different place for Dim Sum in Federal Way. Expected way better quality.

Traditional HK Dim-sum! Curry fish ball and HK style milk-tea is good. Candy is so kind.

So happy we gave this place a try, honestly it was like a home cooked meal and I mean that in the very best of ways. We ordered the spicy chicken teriyaki, it was chicken breast which was nice, flavorful and juicy. Perfectly sweet with enough spicy to make you feel it. Spicy Sichuan fish, the broth was insanely good, full of flavor and they did not skimp on the fish at all. It was perfect. Spicy chicken feet, great flavor and I really loved the way they cooked them. Pork soup dumplings, I can't really give an honest review on these because I've never really had them before but they were good, not sure I'd get them again tho and the onion pancake, it was crispy, we enjoyed it. As for the service, as others have said it is mainly just the woman working, she seems to run the place. When we were in there was a cook but he left after our order was finished. She was quick to take our order and brought everything out as it was ready. It was fresh so it did take a little time, nothing crazy. The restaurant was very clean. I always love when I see a health score rating of EXCELLENT and they have. It was a quiet dinner. I enjoyed that after a long day! So looking forward to giving more of their menu a try.

This was the WORST dim sum I EVER ate! I can't believe that this place got 4 stars!! Walked in and only 1 family here eating. Didn't r yr think anything of it at first! Order like 9 things off the menu all at $7 + all for MICROWAVED dim sum you can get at Costco! TERRIBLE!! At least I know they shop at COSTCO Federal way and maybe Tuwila! I DO NOT RECOMMEND at all!! I know it was all microwaved cause I could hear the ding when it was all done! One by one .... Didn't take pictures as it would've made my stars less!!

We found this place on IG and decided to give it a try. This is a small place with about 4 booths, 3 2 seat tables and 1 4 seat table. It was ok decorated. As everyone said it was just 1 lady working the restaurant. She told us the owner called out sick so she was by herself until later when her daughter goes to help. Overall the taste of the food was good. Portion size could be a little better. Would I go back maybe if I'm in the area.

We returned and confirmed how delicious this little joint is. Don't expect americanized syrupy sweet service - this lady is here to take your order and work. She's efficient and focused! Maybe bring a jacket at night because it's cold, but otherwise, everything was so fresh and tasty, it's honestly ridiculous. I loved every dish. The chow mein stood out for sure. Ambience is fine, casual and sort of quiet. I love it and hope to return sooner than last time.

I loved this restaurant so much, the food was amazing and the environment was warming and comforting, as well as having a good price service was on point and very quick.

Crunchy fried butterfly shrimp..

Came here midday and ordered 3 types of dim sum, a chicken bun, a custard bun and butterfly shrimp. When I opened the shrimp and saw what they gave me I was shocked, clearly the shrimp is burnt and overcooked and they still gave it to me. No wonder this place is always empty. My chicken bun also had shrimp and mushrooms but no chicken so after eating 1 bun and seeing the state of the shrimp I just tossed it all in the garbage. I can't trust this restaurants quality so I wouldn't come here again.

Mongolian beef, bbq pork fried rice, chicken chow mein, salt and pepper chicken wings, and siu mai

Just finished a late lunch. When we arrived there was a table of three that was already eating. Place was decently clean. There was only ONE person working, she was doing the busing/ waiting/ and cooking. Sat down and ordered at 3:05pm and did not receive our last dish until basically 4pm. This lady is VERY generous with her salt, everything just tasted like it was bathed in salt and pepper. Every dish came out slow one by one since she was literally the only one working.

Our first time in, we are always looking for a good dim sum place. Good food, and all day dim sum. Will go again. Good service.

I was impressed with the casual atmosphere and cleanliness. The process is simple, scan the QR code on the table. Scroll through the menu and add the items you want. Then send it. You can keep ordering but be careful the food is very good and you can easily over order. But hey! If you want Dim Sum over ordering is usually never a problem . Service is quick and attentive. The food very well prepared and very very tasty. Dim Sum at Engimono? Yes please and thank you!

Service was friendly and the restaurant was clean. Ordering through the QR code was simple and the food came out quickly. Most dishes were delicious, though a few dim sum items were slightly over steamed - the wrappers were very soft and stuck to the parchment paper. Several of us also tried different ramens, which had a rich broth and thick pieces of char siu. The portion size made it a great value. Prices felt fair for the quality and service. I do wish the large tables has a lazy Susan to make sharing dishes easier. Overall, I'd come back, but it's not necessarily a top pick if you're looking for standout dim sum and ramen.

I don't need a chef wildly experimenting with my siu mai, or dabbling with my baked hom bow. My analysis of Sun Sui Wah, very nice interior, ok service, solid food. Was it a few dollars more than similar fare in Seattle, yes. But I also didn't have to drive to Seattle, not to mention put up with the street spectacle that now exists in the International District. It gets 5 stars because it delivers as promised.

Service : nonexistent Food: 9/10…read morePrice: standard but not worth for the horrible service. We spent about $600 for a party of 9. Would rather go to Diamond Bay, Tasty Szechuan, Royal Kitchen, (can see why they're busy and packed on a holiday weekday night and Sun Sui Wah is not) Went here for dinner for my grandma's 89th birthday with a party of 9 at 7pm. We ordered dishes typical of a 10 course meal including crab, Peking duck, live fish, rice, noodles, veggies, seafood, etc. The food was really good and didn't take too long to come out. Everything tasted good and we were all enjoying the family meal together and that's why I am giving 1 star because we will not be coming back. The service was absolutely horrible; ruined our dinner and wasted an extra 1-1.5hr of everybody's time. There was only 2 other tables in the restaurant and the servers started having dinner together at a table instead of working. I would understand if we were high maintenance customers or were giving them attitude but we did not. My cousin and I have both been FOH and BOH staff so we try to be understanding and patient when it comes to service especially coming from a Chinese background too. However, we asked for water several times, they never refilled anyone's water or the tea even once at this point it was end of dinner and 5 out of the 6 of us had completely empty glasses for about 30 minutes. We finally got water when we signaled to the Busser and he went to tell the same server again. We finished eating and decided to pay first so my grandma wouldn't try to pay. We tipped 18% off the bill since we were a large party and I wasn't about to punish all the workers for some water but what happened after made everything much worse. We asked for togo boxes and the server lady just dropped them off stared at our table and left. I was already wondering why she was seeming to be upset but seems like we were interrupting their dinner because 3 or 4 chinese servers were eating together at the table at the front when my sister's boyfriend went to pay. (That's why we didnt have water) I don't mind the workers needing to eat because I have been in their shoes before but please provide some service if you still have customers inside the restaurant waving at you. We wanted to leave just as much as they probabaly wanted to close at 10 pm(it was around 830ish now) We noticed that the cake they had been holding for us in the fridge was just sitting at another table in the restaurant. They saw us go grab it ourselves. We packed all the leftovers and started putting our dirty dishes and stuff onto the table because the workers were doing nothing. They saw that we were done but didn't want to stop their 8:30pm dinner I guess. Finally we asked them to bring us plates and clear the table. I have never had to ask the Chinese servers at any restaurant to clear the table before dessert, normally they do it for you, especially after you just tipped them almost $100 lol. The Chinese servers sent the bus boy to clear our table and guess what returned to their dinner! We again asked them for plates for the cake. It took so long to the point my sister missed picking up her prescription at 9pm. Not sure if the dim sum service is better but I'm pretty sure those 5 star service reviews are from the chinese servers' friends and/or family. Or the servers are taught to do nothing besides get the order and drop it off. Unfortunaly we will not be spending money at this establishment again because of the service and will be telling our family and friends in Issaquah and Bellevue to choose better places for sit down family meals. Hope others enjoy their meals because the food is still good

The floors are really slippery so be careful, but it's a nice fast paced Chinese restaurant you can get dim sum instead of the normal yum cha times of seattle Chinatown. If you want really good Chinese food at breakneck speeds, want to feel like you're at your Chinese ma's house as she's yelling at the kids in the background, this is it! We even had a loud Chinese conversation that I had to tell my husband "shes not angry, just very busy and trying to get orders out". But they lose 3 stars from me because they use some kind of industrial strength cleaning chemical to wipe down the tables. Hard to enjoy your meal when all you can smell is the same chemical they use to mop the floors at QFC and in my apartment building. Seriously terrible chemical smell while you eat. If they are using a spray bottle to clean at the next table, you'll get a cloud of harsh cleaning chemical up your nostrils while you eat. I've had to rinse off and wiped down my own table with a napkin dampened with tea or water in order to enjoy my meal. When I mentioned this to staff, they were dismissive and haven't changed a thing in over a year when I first brought it to their attention. They should only be using something like quat sanitizer, that doesn't smell, to clean the tables. NOT something that is used for floors or bathrooms. and on a side note: if you decide to mop underneath another table while people are dining next to it, please say "excuse me" or just wait. Instead of almost hitting people in the head with a mop handle without saying a word. Also not great for a dining experience. I have worked in restaurants and F&B management. I know something about these things. You shouldn't use anything on a table for diners that you wouldn't use on a food preparation surface. How many times has a dumpling got away from you and bounced around on the table and you snag it and consume it, because you assume the table isn't being cleaned with floor cleaner? If you agree with me, please say something to the staff, and maybe they'll eventually listen. This is a real shame. The food quality is quite good. Probably best dim sum in South King County. I might just do take-out from now on. There are other high quality Chinese and Asian dining options, that's the bright side of living in this area. But if I'm doing takeout, I might as well just go to Dim Sum House on Beacon Hill (much more reasonable prices and good quality).

We went last night for dinner at 9 pm and had to wait but were seated quickly. Our wait for water and to give our order took a bit longer than expected. When we sat down at our table both of our empty water goblets were visibly dirty and streaked, as were the plates kept on the table. We cleaned them ourselves and didn't ask for replacements. Our server was curt and rude but only to us, as we could often see her smiling and joking with her other tables around us. We couldn't help but notice that we were a different race than everyone else. After our food was dropped we realized we didn't have silverware. I sat waiting to be checked on but it didn't happen, so I had to take a set from a nearby reset table. Our water carafe was never refilled when it became empty. We were never offered drinks or refills of those drinks. We were checked on once very late in the meal, but just "is it ok" without actually stopping to listen or make eye contact. When I was just over halfway done with my food, our server came to the table and set our check booklet down with much more force than necessary. I had never seen this woman before in my life, why would she be so short with us? When looking at the menu earlier we had seen a dessert we wanted to try, so I had to ask our server not to give us our check without the option of dessert. She was not apologetic about it. She said "So you want a menu?" and I said no, we wanted the Ube 3 Ways. Her treatment to us was so unnecessary that it made me sad for the rest of the night, when I should have had a great time at the casino resort.

This custom was preserved in Sweden and gradually evolved into the Smörgåsbord (Scandinavian cold buffet), which is the direct and continuous ancestor of the modern buffet. · France (18th-19th century): The French adopted the word "Buffet" (originally meaning a sideboard or serving table) to describe this self‑service style of dining and promoted it among high society. · Perfection in Japan: The modern buffet model we know today--featuring cold dishes, hot dishes, desserts, and a wide variety of options--was established by the Imperial Hotel Tokyo in 1958. · Las Vegas: The now‑popular "all‑you‑can‑eat" model originated in Las Vegas, USA, in the 1940s. Casinos offered cheap or even free buffets to keep gamblers on the premises, a strategy that quickly became widespread. · Introduction to China: The buffet was introduced to China in the 1930s, initially appearing only in foreign‑funded hotels.
