Everything was flavorful and did not disappoint. I also enjoyed an espresso martini, and my mom was treated to a birthday dessert featuring white chocolate blueberry cheesecake. I loved the ambiance, the spacious bar area, and the outdoor patio. This was a new-to-me spot that I'm glad we tried for a special occasion! It was so good and we had such a great experience that we went back again a few months later to celebrate my aunt's birthday. This time, we had a big party and were able to make a reservation. The restaurant does a great job of accommodating big parties, and I believe they also have a private room. Our waitress was Maddy, and she was exceptional. She did a great job with our party and was very patient with us. The second time, I ordered something different and got the pasta. We all got a variety of different dishes, appetizers, and drinks, and everything was immaculate. I would definitely recommend Park 82 to others. The food, ambiance, and overall experience are exceptional. I love that because it's very hard to find quality restaurants these days. Definitely a spot I'd return to again!

It was good, a little too smokey for my taste though (B). Then I had the Brussels and Artichoke Dip appetizer. There were no Brussels unless they were minced up in there, but there were mushrooms which wasn't listed on the menu. However, it was a tasty dish. It was the best thing that I ate that nigh (A). For entree, I ordered the Risotto minus the peas. It came out like a cream soup with very little risotto, the asparagus was the stringy ends, and it was extremely bland. The server agreed that it was soupier than normal (F). Lastly, I ordered a Southwest Salad to go. I ate the salad the next day at home and it was fine (B). Service was friendly. The establishment is cute. I would not return but others said that they would.

We had an amazing experience celebrating our anniversary at Canoe!…read more First off, it was super convenient that they allowed us to check our luggages as we were going straight to the airport. I really appreciate that they were able to do this. We were sat inside right next to the window, which is what I had requested in my Open Table reservation. I'm so happy that they were able to grant this special request! The river view was absolutely gorgeous. Our server was great and the food was yummy. Highlight of the meal was the cheddar grits that was served with the chicken! I would skip the caesar salad though as it was pretty bland. At the end of our meal, they brought us an anniversary treat which was ice cream. :) You can also take a little stroll outside in the beautiful outdoor area that brings you to the river. There are benches and areas for relaxing outside. I highly recommend coming here if you're in Atlanta. It was a little ways away from where we were staying downtown, but I definitely think it's worth a stop.

And she took our whole order then brought out things in the order that they felt it would be best enjoyed which was nice. And recommended a wine to my friend to pair with the food. The meal started with the beet and goat cheese salad and that was one of the best things I've eaten in a long time. Then the kangaroo which was tasty but maybe a little overseasoned with black pepper - it left a lasting black pepper back of the mouth spice after we finished that both of us didn't love. And the veggies served with it were really really tasty but both of us wished there was more of it. The duck was tasty as well but it felt small for the price tag of $50 (2 slices of breast with lots of the shredded duck leg). It gave a deconstructed Peking duck vibe with the crepe and sauce. Once again we loved the veggie sides but really wished there was at least double of the carrots and bok choy to lighten the dish. And the duck n beef burger (the whole reason we came after seeing it on a food network show) was good but kind of underwhelming. The burger itself is fantastic but the bun is too big and feels like it's that big to be a filler not to compliment. And the fries that came with the burger were so salty we barely ate them. Overall we enjoyed our meal but with all of the fantastic restaurants in Atlanta neither of us are sure we'd make it back to canoe. If we do we'd definitely order ever salad on the appetizer menu first and foremost.

Our server was Robin. He was pleasant and had really good service. He told us to relax and not worry about the restaurant closing. That made us feel better. Maya and Robin told us to come back for brunch so we did. The food during during was amazing. We got the ahi tuna tacos and the edamame and shared the burger and the salad. Everything was colorful and full of flavor. There isn't one item that left us disappointed. For brunch we came back and had the tuna tacos again. My husband loved them so much he ordered them two more times. We also had the bao Benedict and the tuna toast, which came recommended by Maya. All amazing. Also try the fruit salad and the nachos! For drinks we had the cold brew martini and the Caribbean Coffee made by Jess who was also very kind. I told my husband that the good, colorful food combined with the ambience and amazing service made me feel like I was on a vacation. I love this place and have added to one of my favorites. Cheers!

My friend and I wanted to try something different, and when she suggested Boxcar, I literally asked, "Where is that?" She pointed out that it was in the same area we'd been standing in countless times. For anyone visiting for the first time, it is a little tucked away past the food hall. You'll also need to walk up a set of stairs to reach the restaurant, which is worth knowing ahead of time if stairs are inconvenient or inaccessible for you. Once inside, I really liked the atmosphere. They also offer outdoor seating, but with the Georgia heat that day, there was absolutely no discussion--we were sitting INSIDE. Our server was Najah (please forgive me if I'm misspelling!), and she was AWESOME. Such a warm spirit, great energy, and exactly the type of person you'd want greeting you whether it's your first visit or your tenth. Since this was my first time, I asked for recommendations. We started with the Boom Boom Shrimp from the happy hour menu, which is available Monday through Friday until 7 PM. The shrimp? 10/10. No notes! For our entrées, my friend ordered the fish and chips, which she loved--and it came with hush puppies, so really, how could you go wrong? I ordered the Bourbon Bacon Jam Smashburger, and it was cooked perfectly. I don't even remember being asked how I wanted it cooked, but somehow they knew exactly what needed to happen. And that bacon jam?! I LOVE a sweet-and-salty combination, so it was right up my alley. The fries were fire too, but apparently I was feeling a little greedy because I noticed mac & cheese on the menu and decided I needed that as well. LISTEN. I would've been perfectly happy if somebody had taken away everything else and left me alone with that mac & cheese. It was THAT good. Easily 20/10. I actually had to ask Najah who made it because I needed to understand what exactly was happening back there! She told me about the chef, who is Caribbean and from New York, and as someone with Caribbean roots who is also from New York, I may be a little biased--but suddenly I understood why that mac & cheese spoke to my spirit the way it did. I've literally been telling people about it ever since. There's still so much on the menu that caught my attention, including the lamb burger, Brussels sprouts, short rib, and several other dishes. I've included a picture of the menu because there's definitely more exploring to do here. As far as seating, Boxcar seems pretty versatile. There were just two of us, but there's plenty of indoor seating along with bar seating, and I could easily see a group of around 10-12 being comfortable. I also noticed what appeared to be a separate space toward the back that may be available for larger gatherings. Between Najah's wonderful service, the atmosphere, everything we ordered, and THAT MAC & CHEESE, Boxcar absolutely earned a return visit. I've already been bragging about the mac & cheese to everybody who will listen, so now I'm looking forward to finding out what I'll be bragging about after my next visit.

Boxcar is located near the front entrance of Lee and White. Inside is very relaxed and chill like a typical brewery. It wasn't very crowded and most of my party was already there when I arrived. Service was fairly quick and pleasant. I decided to order a side of Brussels sprouts as an appetizer and a chicken Cobb salad. Both were fine, but nothing to rave about. I felt that the Brussels could have been crispier. I probably wouldn't come back here, but glad I could try a new spot.

It was soft and fluffy, not overly sweet, and the cream cheese frosting also wasn't extra sweet. I don't think I could finish a whole roll by myself, but if dessert is your thing - go for it! I had the short rib and eggs. That short rib was very tender and the bbq sauce wasn't overpowering on top. The eggs were cooked perfectly to my liking, but somehow the biggest star on that plate were the potatoes. The breakfast potatoes were CRISP on the outside and deliciously soft inside. Salted perfectly. I took some of them as leftovers and somehow they were still crisp with a reheat. Highly recommend sitting at the bar, the full service there is great too. If you're unfamiliar, the restaurant serves a standard, pre-fixe menu of bread , a salad, frites, and steak. This is where things fell flat for me. The bread is a hard loaf in a paper bag. Maybe an ode to traditional serving, but no one offered to cut the bread nor were we provided a bread knife... my dining mate didn't want to work that hard to get any bread... inconvenient and wasted. The salad... I wasn't at all a fan of the dressing. It was very vinegary and pungent... not at all balanced. The frites were cooked to pure perfection; however, they lacked seasoning. The steak... this is where I was totally disappointed. While the steak was cooked to the right temperature (medium rare), it was sooooooo chewy, no marble... I found myself spitting out tough parts. Maybe Whole Foods' grass fed ribeyes have me spoiled, but this wasn't at all what I would expect of a restaurant that specializes in steak. My beverages (tequila daisy and traditional margarita) were uneventful. I also didn't feel they were balanced. The customer service was excellent.
