Yes there is such thing in the heart of Waikiki is free parking as I found out searching for parking to visit a nearby business and you can find this location right beside Hyatt Place Waikiki Beach which does have several street parking but is basically impossible to nab unless you have the luck on your side. Like many other ABC Stores this one is no different filled with all the various souvenirs and accessories needed for beach or to just quench your thirst with any of the insane varieties they carry. What is nice about this location is the amount of grab and go food items with sandwiches, salad, sushi and even a bowl of pho. There's also warm food items like spam musuai and various other hot items ready to go though the prices are the high convenience you'll have pay. The staff here is very friendly and efficient as I was in a rush even with their free parking making it a quick and easy spot. Thank you! read more

With so many abc stores around Waikiki, this one was just a few steps from the hotel, which we found super convenient! Especially during the huge rain storm that hit the island yesterday. I believe they sold ponchos for $2.50, but don't quote me on that. Don't forget about the abc store gold card rewards. The cashiers don't always tell you about it for some reason. Depending on how much you spend over a 15 day period, you can redeem your receipts for some free gifts, so keep those receipts! Personally, I would skip the souvenirs and just go souvenir shopping at Walmart or Don Quijote. Accepts ebt on cold foods. read more

I was in this location more than any other on this trip! It was so conveniently located for us and made a perfect snack stop. We came here daily and bought so many hand rolls, bento boxes, musubis. I loved their tuna and California hand rolls. I also loved the triangle musubi with tuna or fake crab salad. We ate so many spam musubi, the best was the chiken, I had never seen that before, but I also enjoyed the bacon egg and spam one. They were perfect any time of day. The kids got Hawaiian Sun drinks on a daily basis, and I really enjoyed their Uncle's ice cream sandwiches. Those are the best cookie ice creams I have ever had. They were so fresh they tasted hand scooped. The cookies were so chewy and the ice cream creamy and perfect. I did end up purchasing many of their .20 eco bags. Hawaii is making a great effort to get rid of plastic and many stores have very low cost solutions. The reason why I bought so many was to take them home and reuse them, which I will for every day purposes, especially carting things around for school, work, or road trips. Even though ABC stores are literally on EVERY corner in Honolulu, not all of them are created equal. This is one of the best ones I've been to. Their selection was much larger than some of the other stores I visited, and was the perfect blend of convenience store, souvenir shop and snack stand. I was thrilled that they had both flip flops and water shoes in my size (not every store does), and in a variety of styles and colors. This store also has tons of swimsuits and shorts, souvenirs, shoes, snacks and sunblock and lots of other stuff at really reasonable prices. They have a pretty good selection of grab-and-go food items including sliced fruit, yogurt, sandwiches, wraps, and salads. The reason I like this place most though is the staff. 8/2/2017 There are SO MANY of these stores in Honolulu. You can not miss them!! They remind me of Rite Aid or CVS stores, only better. You can buy last minute gifts. What I found out the hard way though is that you can buy some of the stuff that is sold at Dole for much cheaper here!! I wish I knew that before hand!! Save your receipts!! It seems like there is an ABC Store every 10 feet in Waikiki, they are that numerous. We frequented this location because it was right next to our hotel and it has everything you need as a traveler. Bottles of water, snacks, and souvenirs were our main purchases here. The customer service is excellent and by the last night of our trip, we spent enough during our stay ($100 minimum) to earn a free gift for ourselves. If there ever was to be an under-the-radar ABC store--a location not prominently stuck on some busy corner near a tourist focal point, this Lemon Road is it! Off a side road near the Honolulu Zoo and behind the Aston Waikiki Hotel, this is a great neighborhood necessity. Even more so, there are several Hawaii hostels that line the alley area that abuts the store. And I am sure those travelers can appreciate the affordable necessities sold at ABC. When I arrived at my hotel, I was famished from not being fed anything but nut mix and a Sprite on the flight over. When I heard there was an ABC down the street, I feasted on one of their Sub Sandwiches and a bag of Maui Onion potato chips There are lots of drink choices at ABC and booze, beer and wine are also sold there. I would load up on juices, milk, yogurt and Gatorade and ditch them in a bowl of ice to stay cold in my hotel room. You can buy cereal boxes, individual muffins and granola bars to snack on. ABC is really a frugal travelers best friend. HOWEVER, I will need to deduct 1 YELP STAR for a very clannish attitude among their sales help, which is primarily Oriental. And when I tried to make a deal for a calender, after having spent lots of money in their stores, they sternly told me NO! One Japanese family started ABC in 1949. Sidney and Minnie Kosasa opened their own drug store, and a chain of drug stores soon followed shortly thereafter. The business plan is modeled on convenient locations selling merchandise and necessities at fair prices. That would include, among other items, groceries, souvenirs, drugs and cosmetics and anything else a visitor would need. I can tell you from firsthand knowledge that the closer to the beach an ABC store is, the more prominently featured out front will be the sunscreen, beach towels and plastic flotation devices. Today, ABC Stores have inundated every major island in the State of Hawaii and the ABC concept has been exported to Guam, Saipan and Las Vegas! I say this with every bit of respect for the incredible business acumen of the Kosasa family: the good ole USA may have been screwed by the Japanese at Pearl Harbor during W W II but we got them back with two big bombs a little bit later. Now ABC comes along and virtually is on every corner of Oahu--sucking dollar bills out of the wallets of clueless tourists and locals alike and replicating itself all over the world. "ABC Stores -- a good home-away-from-home convenience store full of "stuff". I feel that the Waikiki area ABC Stores needed to be highlighted as a nice tourist support service. The ABC Store #35 next to the Hyatt Place Hotel contained just about anything I 'might' have needed on my Oahu, Hawaii vacation, up to and including chocolate covered macadamia nuts, breakfast cereal, and adult beverages. As it turned out, all we really needed/wanted this trip was some ""good"" Guava Juice ( that you can't find or get in the other 49 or so states ), and souvenirs ( a number of which seemed of decent quality and appropriately priced ). Regarding the Guava Juice: the several restaurants we went to didn't have it on the menu, or had some watered down version. Thanks ABC Stores for your better version. read more

The ABC next to Hotel Renew is probably my most-visited place in Hawaii. I know it sounds silly, but in the age of ludicrous TSA rules, $4 bottles of hotel mini-bar water and absent-minded business travel packing, a store like ABC comes in REAL handy. Items I have purchased at this ABC include: Hakkusan sake cups Curad non-stick self-adhering gauze strips coconut water Sapporo beer Q-tips travel-size toothpaste after-sun (sunburn) lotion chips gigantic bottles of water gum I could list on, but you get the point. ABC is like a 7-11 on steroids - way more well-stocked and much more friendly. It's basically like a more condensed version of a Walgreens minus the pharmacy but plus a much warmer, more sunny feel. The sad part is that I bought each item above on a separate visit. I need to get my shit together and figure out what I need and do it all in one trip. Fortunately it's next door to the hotel I usually stay at, so it's beyond convenient. Don't forget to keep your receipts - you get some prize when you spend $100. At least that's what the checkers kept telling me ad nauseum every time I made a purchase. Sure, I'm going to save up receipts over numerous visits until I've spent enough to get that prize. Riiight. My husband and I just went in here to make a purchase while there we noticed that above the liquor department shelves there was a sign saying they closed the alcohol department at 1150pm not at all a big deal we having lived here for the past 2 years had never noticed or ran I to an issue at this location. Upon my husband asking one of the workers [who appeared to be the manager on duty] when this started he said "It started when it started" my husband then replied politely he had never noticed it before to which the reply was "How about we close 10 minutes early" This was totally uncalled for and the lack of any sort of customer service and professionalism took us completely by surprise as this happened the cashier a woman then interrupted to get us to check out and the rudeness continued. What type of Aloha spirit is it to treat your paying customers and Neighbors who literally live on the Block and frequent daily in this kind of manner. The salad I got 20% off because it was close to expiration was pretty tasty. The staff are friendly. An inflatable raft is $2.99, which is a great price. The homeless here in Hawaii use them to sleep on. But.... If a female is on vacation and gets an unexpected visit from Aunt Flo, the ABC store may be convenient, but they're going to gauge you with the price for feminine hygiene products! It's really not fair! I can see gauging people for alcohol and cigarettes and candy and souvenirs, because they're not necessities that people can't do without. Come on, there's a billion of these in town and they're all the same type of convenience store. They're super close, and you kinda pay the convenience premium. Do they have what you need? Beers and foods and basic groceries. Mostly everything! (Most don't have stamps) The clerks are usually pretty nice, and you can get in and out quickly.
