This place has the worst customer service. I called on a Monday 3/4/19 for price quote for a table glass top, I gave them my measurements I needed and I was told that a glass technician would call Me back. Ok sounds good. I waited all day for a call but my phone never rang. Wednesday had past by so I called again because maybe they were too busy and forgot to call. Debbie answered my call and she was the same lady I talked to on Monday. I tried to remind her "hey I called on Monday for a quote on a glass table top" she was confuse and thinking I was crazy. So I gave her my measurements again and I was told again that a glass technician would call back. Almost 2 weeks past and I never received a phone call.. what a joke! I hired ABC Lock and Glass in November 2019 to fix a window that was hard to open. They came, changed the runners, charged me $224.13 (after trying to charge $99 more than that and claiming a mistake). The window did not work at all, and they returned to try again. The third visit resulted in a window that falls out and will not stay in its place at all. It is a much worse problem than the one I called them to repair. I tried to get a correct repair, but they refused to send a different repair person and the first guy had already worked on it 3 times. They refused to refund my money, insisting that I call their lawyer. I complained to BBB, the Contractors's Board and the Department of Business and Industry. So far, nobody has done anything to help me with this rip off. My advice is to use any company but this one for whatever you need done. They are incompetent and nasty. read more

We moved into a Mobile home and the seller said he lost the main entrance patio door keys. After removing the door handle and lock to have it rekeyed we learned no one does that and the mechanism was broken. This began the journey to replace the handle. It was scary to be in a new to us home and not be able to lock the front door. I went to every hardware, rv, door and storefront locksmith in Reno. No one had the correct replacement. We called many locksmiths no one ever got back to us with a solution. Three came out and looked. Two recommended replacing the entire door for over $2,000. We were about to give in to that solution when Rick from ABC called. It had been 3 weeks of not locking our front door. He came on Thursday- said he wanted to search his vendors. By Wednesday he returned and replaced the mechanism for about $125. It's my opinion that none of the other companies wanted to take the time or had the experience to know how to find the part. One Thursday afternoon, I finally got around to getting a copy made to a cabinet lock I installed at home. I wanted to give ABC a shot because this was a specialty key that the big box stores don't always carry. I had to wait for a few minutes since apparently the key was so special, even they weren't sure they had it! I recommend calling ahead to confirm the wait time. My experience with this company left a very bad taste in my mouth. They came to my home in Graeagle, charged me $125 trip charge and never provided me with the bid. When I called them they kept putting me off saying there waiting for material quotes from their vendor. Then lied to me when they said if my wife had told them what she wanted in the first time she called they would have told her they couldn't do that. The bad part was my wife has never talked or called them. This company is not professional or reputable. There are many more other companies that are honest and follow through with what was promised. I wanted to copy a cash register key... It is an unusual key... But ABC didn't have the blank.... I kinda expected that because I don't know how often someone would copy a cash register key. The reason I have them 5 stars is because of their excellent customer service. They really tried to find a solution and when the couldn't, they referred me to two of their competitors and even wrote down their address and phone numbers... How awesome is that??? I was so very excited to find ABC Lock & Glass . . . I easly found their location, walked in at about 4:30 in the afternoon, present them with my request - I need a round piece of glass cut for a project and I needed it ASAP - although they did not know I needed it ASAP when I walked in. They immediately called someone from the back, they took my sample and immediately started working on it . . .within a little while they were back out presenting me with my new piece! AND at a very reasonable price . . . I was and am a very happy customer. I know where I will go next time I need glass work - and since they do lock work, I will be butting them on my list. I would not recommend. The customer service from the time we left our window was horrible. Communication was horrible. When it was time to pick up our window, they gave us the wrong window. The company called us later that day and told us they gave us someone else's window. And the next Day i called and talked to the owner and she was very unprofessional when she was talking to me. All she did was offer to bring the window to my house, which they did, but no compensation for the inconvenience, no apologies no nothing. I set up an appointment for estimate on new shower glass. First appointment was reschedule do to a large amount of vandalism around town the night before, I can understand and respect that. Next appointment came and they were quick and friendly; however they just came in and took rough measurements. They did not talk about options (seamless, frame etc), glass thickness, door type.... Promise a estimate by Monday which didn't happen, Wednesday rolls around and finally get a call to inform me the boss did not want to take the project. Mind you it was a simple rectangle, 90 degree bends no special requests. Don't waste your time with these guys unless you want to get blown off. read more

I reached out to this company to have the locks changed on my grandmothers home. I explained that due to her death, that had occurred 24 hours prior, and the home being vacant with multiple keys floating around, we needed to have the locks changed. They were able to get us scheduled the following day, which I was extremely grateful for. However, through realtor friends, we were able to get a company to the house the same day. When I called to cancel the appointment I was immediately greeted by an unpleasant attitude by the person on the phone. I explained to her that we had found a company to come same day and her response was to blame me and that I did not tell her I needed same day service and that I was "inconveniencing" her by calling to cancel the appointment. My family is going through a very tough transition with losing the last living grandparent of our family in addition to 4 other family deaths since Christmas. To be treated by someone like this was absolutely absurd and uncalled for. The sheer lack of basic human decency from this person was absolutely mind blowing. read more

I wouldn't even give a 1 star when I called for a question re: my daughters "fixed window", I was rudely spoken to by Debbie the receptionist because I wanted to talk to the manager! She was RUDE from the get go but anyway was told by Brittany " the manager" that it was over a year that they fixed it! Well I said it was sept original call so not over a year but then she tells me windows are only guaranteed 15-30 days. Well I had window world and they guarantee lifetime! Both " females" were extremely rude and I would NEVER RECOMMEND USING THIS COMPANY!!! If I could do no stars I would. Absolutely the rudest tech I have ever dealt with. Called the office for a resolution and got none. Was told when we re-keyed our office that they keep a master at their location. Called to get that and they state they never had it. When our owner went in to get duplicate keys made he was told that the guy that used to keep them left the company and they didn't know where any of the keys are. Hmmm which is it. I am so happy with the level of service at ABC Lock&Glass I was in urgent need to make few copies of my house keys, went to the local Home Depot at Spanish Springs 4 times w/o not luck what so ever!!! I think I spent more money on the gas rather on the making keys. Guy at ABC Lock asked me a question about the problem, scratched his head, made 6 copies, even punched keys thru the special tool, so it will be like a factory made keys. This is so people's friendly locksmith shop where they are fully understand your needs and work with you to fix the problem. This is just amazing. It is not a fake story. Our woodstove glass door broke this weekend. We were worried that we would finally have to replace our entire unit (came with the house in 1984). Overall, a good experience. I got a yelpon (coupon through yelp) and so thats why I went with them. They worked with me as I had a few requests so he actually made two trips out at no extra cost which was helpful. My only gripe was I have an oversized windshield and I actually had to help remove and install my own windshield. I kind of felt like they should have sent two people as I am paying someone for the work and I don't want to be held responsible for work that I am paying someone else to do.
