Please make sure to look at the screenshots of the text interaction. So I have been using this service for quite a few years. I've had over 10 keys made, and four remotes purchased from this guy. I have five kids, and every time we buy them a used car, we make sure we have a spare key made. We have also purchased remotes for some of the cars. We got a 2015 Ford fiesta and started the normal process where I sent pictures of the key and remote asking the price. There was a guy that texted me that said he was the new '' associate' named Roger working with Santiago. I asked the price, and it had gone up significantly. From the $40, up to $$120 plus. I was a bit put off, but post Covid This type of stuff happens. In the meantime, I put out a request on Yelp to have a key made, and there was another locksmith (locksmith 775 ) that was willing to meet with us and make the key for $50. So I text Roger back and let him know that I was getting it for way cheaper, and that , we would not be needing his service. He text back and as you can read the screenshots, was not a very nice person . After using them for so many years, because I didn't want to pay $240 for 2 keys, he said they were going to block me and that I wasted their time . I was able to leave a text with Santiago, and let him know that I was willing to keep doing business with them, as well as keep referring customers if they were going to remain low price. His response to me was they were going to change their focus to people who want. It really isn't wasting time hunting around for a good deal. That's part of business. We just finished a project with this company. I must say they were a delight to work with; they delivered exactly what we wanted on time and schedule. I lost my key fob at Circus Circus and had to call this company for help. As I explained the situation Roger kept cutting me off demanding I get to my vehicle before someone steals it. He said he was on his way but people usually don't turn in lost car keys. He said they go out to the parking lot to steal the vehicle and I had better get there fast. I had a 2010 Audi that I had a working fob for but the hard key that came with the car didn't work on the lock cylinder on drivers door. Santiago cut me new hard keys and programmed them for less than a third of the cost of getting just a key for the vehicle at the dealership (read stealership), that doesn't include programming either. After searching around on Yelp, I came across Santiago. A few back and forth texts to confirm my car model and a meet up spot, and I found Santiago's van parked and waiting for me in a predetermined location. As he opened the sliding door, I found myself looking into a highly efficient, functioning office; undoubtedly as or more organized than a hippie living the #vanlyfe. He took my key, rolled his sliding stool to the workbench, and cut it within 5 minutes. He tested it out on my lock and in my ignition, and proceeded to reprogram a new wireless fob. He verified that everything worked, and gave me his card in case the old keys were recovered and I needed to program the old fob (which I learned can only be reactivated with all of the working fobs present), or in the case that again I trust my keys to a sloppy evening. Once he left, I received a text offering a 10% discount on my next service, and a link encouraging me to post a review. I am 99% sure that Santiago is a real human, but he operates with the efficiency of a robot that deserves to take our jobs. I paid less than $40 to have some peace of mind.
