I was a little leery about hiring a driving school instructor for my daughter and searched for a couple of options in the area based on cost and reviews. My wife wanted a female instructor, but it seems that the majority of driving schools are predominantly male instructors. After calling around and then talking to William, we scheduled our first lesson in April. My daughter's first impression after the first lesson was that she liked William for his calm demeanor, clear instructions, and patience. She is a very tentative driver and used to get overwhelmed by driving. With me, she would get visibly frustrated doing simple driving in an empty parking lot at LAVC. We've been happy with William's instruction, so much so that we referred him to one of my daughter's friends who also liked him and passed her driver test on the first try. We did the requisite 6 hours in 3 sessions and my daughter felt confident to drive on the road. We did 2 additional sessions in 2 successive weekends before her driver test as a refresher. I don't have much available time to spend practicing. My schedule was not as flexible as others. So im only available on fridays afternoon to practice driving.. Good thing William was flexible with his schedules with me.. So i only practiced three 2hr sessions every friday, a total of 6hrd and took the driving test the next day of my last session, then i PASSED:) The only time i practiced was with him.. I never even have the chance to practice at home.. i only drove 6 hours with ABC driving instructor William and passed the driving test the next day.. I would recommend William whole-heartedly. I have been driving in India for 10 years and recently moved to the US. To unlearn 10 years of driving on the right hand side and learn how to drive on the left while following all the rules was a challenge for me. However, William was very patient and thorough. Absolute recommend! This is the 2nd driving school my daughter used and this was by far the best decision we made.

WOW WOW WOW. Let me begin by saying that William is the best! My first lesson from him was almost two years ago. I did the 2 hours session. It was just okay then (nothing wrong from his part) because I wasn't really ready to drive yet. Fast forward... about 3 weeks ago, I decided that I was finally mentally ready to drive. I was practicing from time to time with my mom but it wasn't really working. She would get frustrated and I would get scared and flustered. She scheduled my dmv appointment just after 1 week of practicing with me so that I would be forced to word hard, I knew the basics but I wasn't 100% confident yet. I was getting desperate and started panicking. The only solution i thought of was calling William to take last minute lessons. I called him on Tuesday (my test was on Friday), he told me he had a free spot on Thursday morning, I personally thought it wasn't enough but this what i get from procrastinating, so I said yes. About an hour after calling, he called me back saying he had an opening for later that day, same day as i called. So, all in all, i did 2 hours on Tuesday, and 2 hours on Thursday. After 4 hours with William, I was confident and wasn't nervous at all!!! I am happy to say that I passed my behind the wheel test on my first try! He was just amazing. He was calm and so assuring. I started practicing on Sunday, and I got my license on Tuesday! I already knew how to drive, but I was unfamiliar with the rules in the United States. William, the owner and the instructor, took me along the Arleta DMV routes and got me acquainted with the different rules. Not only did he let me read and understand the rule book, but he pointed out common mistakes and things to watch out for during the exam. He also helped me get the schedule that I wanted (which was not available on the appointment list online) for the driving test. This was the most affordable driving school that I found nearby, and I'm glad that I picked it. This is no comment about the attitude, or how engaging the instructor is.
