The actual driving instructor was pleasant and my daughter did well. The issue was that someone dropped the ball didn't either give or mail the completion certificate. So we show up for her driving test and they can't help us without that certificate. Wasting my time. Secretary then promised the certificate on a Friday but called back and said not until Monday. Really disappointing experience. We scheduled a DMV test day appt. (1hr prep, ride to/from, & vehicle usage for the appt. For starters, the Instructor (Nestor) was 10 mins late for the pick up time, cutting into the "hr practice" drive that's included. Got to DMV and the Instructor didn't even have his paperwork to prove he's a licensed Instructor. He called his Supervisor or Owner or someone else. This person did offer to reschedule or send another Instructor but of course my son said send someone else because like most teenagers, he's looked forward to this day and has been waiting to finally get his license. I wish he had just rescheduled but it already took weeks to get an appointment that worked with his work and school schedule. So an hr after appt. time, he has to get back in line with the new Instructor after having had his "practice" drive rushed and all the stress and frustration of the Instructor not being punctual, prepared, or professional. Needless to say, he was upset & tense making him flustered while driving on top of all the normal nerves that go with your 1st driving test. THANKFULLY even with all of that and 2 HOURS AFTER his originally scheduled test time, (DMV actually let him test still) he passed! That boosted his mood some but he is now an hour late for work and will receive a write up. This is exactly why we booked this service, so that everything was smooth & stress free, as the website states. I really hope that we will receive some sort of refund for this disaster and all of the extra issues it caused, especially because the Instructor was late to begin with. He was pleased with the replacement Instructor and the woman that he spoke to on the phone while at the dmv with the unorganized 1st Instructor. I made him pay for this with his hard earned $ so I really hope he will be compensated for the mess that 1 guys caused. Other than that, they were very communicative & friendly throughout the process and everyone else seemed to be in top of things with responses, calls, follow ups, scheduling, and the replacement Instructor rushing over as fast as she could. Thank you to all of those folks, you helped the process go pleasantly on those fronts. The business has my son's # & hopefully this is an isolated incident and they will know which it is and contact him to make it right somehow. There aren't enough words in the dictionary to describe how amazing Otto is. He has such a gentle and calm demeanor that makes any nervous and anxious driver (aka me) feel so calm and relaxed while driving. He isn't overwhelming when giving directions and his constant reassurance and praise builds confidence quickly. I truly don't believe I would of gotten my license if I were with anyone else because his through instruction made me so prepared for the test. Especially getting into a terrible accident on my way to the dmv exam last year with him, he kept me calm and even checked in on me to make sure I was okay. I had eight hours of practice with him, and he also took me to my DMV test (and we practiced the DMV route beforehand). Not only did Otto prep me very well for the driving test, but he also gave me great tips for generally safe driving. He's also extremely easy to contact through text or call, so it's very easy to schedule lessons. Picked me up from my house, and also helped me drive the route to school one morning to practice driving through the mountains. Throughout our lessons, Otto kept track of areas that I was proficient in or needed more work. Reasonably priced, too. Highly recommend! Another reviewer complained that Otto had earbuds in both ears and took phone calls during the lesson. Otto only ever had one earbud in at a time, took calls fairly seldom, and still ensured that I was driving safely and correctly during the short periods of time he was speaking to someone over the phone. He is very patient, his jokes are very funny and he explained me how to drive safe. I was scared at first because I am an international student and my parents didn't have a chance to teach me as they are far away.
