I used the online traffic school to save me a lot of money. I was cited for going too fast in a 55 zone. This is worth one point on my driving record, which means that after checking with my insurance company, would be $23 per month for 3 years. Paying an extra $23 per month for auto insurance over 3 years means I'd be paying a total of $828 for insurance over that time period. Traffic school was $19.95 online. It's a real no brainer. The bail amount on my ticket was $244. The ticket's traffic school amount was $297. The difference is $53, added to the $19.95 school fee, means a total of $72.95 was spent above and beyond the $244 to ensure a savings of $828 in future costs. It would have been cheaper if I HAD NOT been speeding and never recieved the citation. (Watch out for motorcycle cops -- they have ONE thing on their mind, and that is NAILING you with their radar.) Except they're difficult to see in advance, so it's far better to simply drive appropriately for the conditions and posted speed limits. Traffic School at www.trafficschool.com was easy. Simple. Fast. Direct. And most of all, easy. I spent a total of 2 hours on the entire thing. That's all. 2 hours in the comfort of my home. The site does try to upsell you, with offers of speedy delivery and other upsell. I ignored them. This was my first traffic school experience. I have 18 months before I can get another citation. I can't wait. It is SO MUCH FUN to take these online courses, and since I have super deep pockets and actually more money than time, when my 18 months are up, I'll get another citation so I can take this course again. Yep, it was that much fun. Or not. Hope this helps someone. Two thumbs up. Five stars. Great course. By the way, the final test was only 25 questions. And I had two chances at it. Used one, and was easy to get 100%. None of this is difficult if you simply pay attention. And you can use the study guide during the final test. It's all good, and very simple and easy. Bottom line: California makes good money from citations. The court system needs to pay its employees. We all benefit from our system of justice, as it provides income to those working within its constraints. So get out there and rack up some more citations, people. Justice department employees and community opportunity protection services (COPS) need to get paid. Your distracted driving will certainly mean additional revenues go to worthy families. For online traffic school courses expect to take seven one hour sessions to go through all. The regulations needed to drive competently as a good citizen. If only big corporations would accept they are heavily regulated to reign in the few, arrogant bad actors, just as bad actors or negligent ones on roadways are subject to citation. Same motivation. They think they can get away with it. In the case of wealth, they can get away with it because they write their own rules to impose on us without the compassion we can insist upon from elected individuals by power of the vote in a true democracy. You have every opportunity to learn new things, the reasons, and notice how you have improved as a good citizen to keep yourself and all on the road safe. There is even a section on defensive driving, how to manage bullying behaviors. We want to delegate handling bullies to Lew enforcement that is kindly, compassionate. When the few are not, we expect help from government, who are kindly compassionate, to deal with those bullies by enforcing rules and regulations, firing public employees or hailing the worst offenders societal safety. When government gets in bed with the bullies, we must be able to vote those government bullies out. Otherwise, what we have is a dictatorship run by bullies who choose to unreasonably exclude segments of population choose to enforce unreasonable laws when created against the safety interests of vast majority in the entire population. I hate this school. There are long pages of effete nonsense. It took me 12 days to complete the course. It is very bureaucratic, seemingly defined by the DMV. I also believe that the confusing text is due to the multiple States represented. Some of the video lessons do not show up. There are over a hundred questions. What? Five times the number for renewing your license. A lot of the text contains the CA LAW text and numbers. Why would I need this. Example " CVC 24400 states: "During darkness and inclement weather, every motor vehicle other than a motorcycle, shall be equipped with at least two lighted headlamps, with at least one on each side of the front of the vehicle, and...they shall be located directly above or in advance of the front axle of the vehicle. The headlamps and every light source in any headlamp unit shall be located at a height of not more than 54 inches nor less than 22 inches". Huh! I want simple relevant instruction. Who wrote this stuff? The worst is that you cannot view the classroom texts when taking the final test. You should obtain the California Drivers Handbook (which is free at the DMV). This will help you a lot. If you have to use this outfit, pay very careful attention to each session. Try one a day. Answer the Section test the next day (or you'll get tired) . But I suggest a simpler course on the Internet. I don't know of one, so ask around. As a final criticism, there are trick questions (like the one on electric cars). This is not necessary. read more

I got a speeding ticket taking a friend to the airport early in the morning (officer walked into the lane right in front of me -- I thought he was a drunk staggering out, not recognizing the uniform because he had a jacket on over it). He said I was speeding because I was the first car in traffic (I had just made a left: of course I was first in line, but I was too surprised to think of it at that hour!). I don't know if I was speeding or not (I guess I'm not constantly looking at the speedometer!), but I decided to take my medicine, because I have often gone over the limit at other times, and I usually kind of like traffic school. I always learn something useful. This was my first time to do this online, and I am very pleased with the experience at TrafficSchool.com. The material is broken up into bite-sized pieces (probably about an hour for each of the seven sections), you can save and log off at any point you find convenient, you can fit the lessons into your other obligations in life, and the site isn't full of pop-ups and other annoyances. The material is well-written, even interesting in places. The one criticism I have is that the interactive little videos sprinkled here and there did not work at all after about the second or third section, but since they're sort of peripheral to the experience, I wouldn't drop my rating over it. If I find myself afoul of the traffic laws again, I would certainly return to TrafficSchool.com. read more

OMG. I cannot believe I even considered going to a Traffic School class (the few I called were insanely priced from $80 to $150, and what a total waste of time!) This online course was so convenient and easy, and only cost about $10, with coupon. Lucky I came across it, considering the list the court provided had about 1,500 online courses to choose from! I completed my review of the 7 chapters and related tests in just a couple of hours (could have gone faster, but some of the information was actually interesting and/or informative)! I submitted my final test (100% correct) before the court even cashed my check (hopefully that's not a problem, but I doubt it). Reading the Yelp reviews ahead of time for tips helped, like the suggestion to keep the study guide open during the final exam, just in case you need to look up the answer (use Ctrl-F to find key words). Out of 25 questions on the exam, I wasn't positive of the answer on only 2-3, but verified most of them anyway using the study guide, just to be on the safe side. Would definitely recommend! Since I completed 'traffic school' so far in advance of my court date, I opted for the $6.95 "Case Dismissed" confirmation, but highly doubt it was necessary. I don't believe the court closes the case until 2 weeks after the appearance date, and I just didn't want to forget to check this about a month from now! read more

TrafficSchool.com is absolutely awesome!!!!!!!!!! I procrastinated doing my traffic school until the last week, like I do with everything else in life, lol. So I have a week left and its almost Christmas so the process of the school sending my info to the D.M.V. is slower than usual---which I just realized today. So I was all worried and decided even if it took like fifteen hours, I'd just blast right through it asap. It was so easy to understand, there was a study guide to go with each quiz, and the final (The course consists of 8 sections with a quiz for every section. You can skim through the sections as fast as you want, and theres an option to listen while a recording reads the section/lesson to you; then theres a 25 question final). Also, the questions were 75% common sense and the other 25% were easy and if you need , all the answers are in the study guide which you can use through all quizzes and the final. The whole thing took me less than three hours and I chose to pay extra to have it shipped to the court as soon and as quickly as possible, and I will receive a letter when my case is actually dismissed. All for less than 55.00$ I recommend this to everyone, if you have doubts, google search trafficschool.com, call the #, and verify what I said. If you have to go to traffic school I would recommend TrafficSchool.com 100%. It goes at your pace, you can do it over several days if you need to or just at one sitting. There are 7 or 8 chapters and a few videos in each chapter and a small test after each chapter that you need to pass to proceed to the next one. But don't worry they have a study guide you can view while you take it. Their is even a study guide for the final test. When I started my first chapter my internet went down. Shortly after I received an email from them asking if there was a problem on their side as to why I did not proceed. I told them not on theirs but on mine. I was surprised at getting an email and a response for that. It was easy to read and follow and I learned a few things about new laws as well as refreshed some of the old ones. Though I would have rather learned them from a book at the DMV instead of a traffic school due to my fault and getting a violation. The price was only $7.95 and you have other options you can choose from at a small price but so worth it for your piece of mind. Wow!! I never thought that getting a ticket by the CHP for speeding could result in a great experience. But, it sure did for me! TrafficSchool. com simply made me think about what driving the streets and highways of California is all about. Its about making sure that everyone (you and me) gets home safe. I've never had a driving ticket in my over 35 years of driving, but some diligent officer in Kern County busted me for speeding. Lesson for me:stop unsafe driving! You could kill or be killed. Ouch! In all, I highly recommend this site for some great lessons on respecting the road, and all the metal machines out there, that can cause injury at the hands of careless, unthinking human beings. I especially appreciated the lessons on driving while under the influence of drugs or alcohol. It was painful reading--but it was all true. Alcoholics and addicts need help, and this site communicated as gently and courageously as it could to say: you need help, driver--get off the road and take care of yourself--before you hurt someone. Danny V is not accurately telling it like it is. You do not - repeat - DO NOT have to get a 100% - perfect score on the final 40 question test. I got 82 and passed - I had 33 our of 40 correct answers. I don't know were Danny V. got the message one had to get a perfect score. All wet and all wrong. This method of schooling is far easier then having to go to Hemet at night and run the risk of being mugged, robbed or my vehicle broken into. I would recomment this (the computer course) as the way to go. I wish the computer course had a way to see what the right answers were (that I got wronf) for the final exam. If this is a learning tool, why not post the right answers like in the practice tests? Thomas F. Needed something quick, cheap and easy so read the reviews and did this one. As was mentioned, it is inexpensive but you pay $7 for the audio (which I discovered I didn't really need, keep reading), and a fee for expedited processing to the court which made my total a little over $30 (I used the Yelp discount too). That said, if you are in a position to have the court alerted of your completion within 3 business days, chuck the quick expedition fee AND after taking a few of the section quizzes, I realized I could extract the main points from each slide with a read over as the questions are basically common sense if you have driving experience (plus the incorrect answers are obvious). Chuck the audio too--save the $7. Had I known I would have saved time and money. In my quest for quick, I let the reviews sway me to the audio but truly did not need it in the end (learned that about halfway through). It took about 3 hours but I could have done it for way less. GET IT, don't hesitate. The 25 question final is easy like the quizzes. Bonus--I learned some stuff too! read more

I highly recommend the course, which I just finished, missed one on the final due to not reading the question carefully. It was quite a bit better that the last on-line traffic school I used 3 years ago. I used the Calif Driver Handbook on my iPad to look up questions on the final. It is a good review, and I was surprised to see how much I had forgotten about specific laws, such as the speed limit at a blind railroad crossing, etc. The course, as expected, is a little tedious, but definitely got the job done (try reading the CA Drivers Handbook if you really want tedious!). The animated scenarios were interesting, useful, and broke up the lesson into reading and visual learning modes. One deficiency, which is also in the DMV book, is figuring out how to estimate how far a particular distance is, such as 100, 200, or 500 feet. There is the "3-second rule," which is useful on highways, but how does a driver estimate the 200 feet visibility needed to make a U-turn? Who knows, but the spirit of the law is to be safe, and that's all one really needs to know. read more

Excellent experience overall. Fee structures, id verification process all very above board and reasonable. Course content and exams were relevant and properly stressed, easily understandable and flowed well. Contact w/ the call center was very positive - the customer service rep was professional, pleasant, well spoken and made sure my questions were satisfactorily answered. I did not have this kind of experience in placing preliminary calls to other online traffic school providers, who went to lengths to conceal their charges, eg, charged additionally for id verification, sometimes equal to or greater than the base course fee and involved crazy, gimmicks like a mail-to-you computer camera to verify you took the test (please!). Or maybe you would like the traffic school id contractor rooting around and producing a hit on your credit rating - NO. All this AND a basically open-book final test.... makes a violator feel, well, special. Great value, solid, honest business practices - support them next time you screw up! read more
