I took the on-line defensive driving course for a speeding ticket I received in Arizona. The class was reasonably priced with a very good interface and easy to follow. I liked that the four hour course was broken down into sixteen lessons and I could take a break between lessons whenever I felt like it. It's worthwhile to take this course because it makes you realize you may have forgotten some things over the years and it makes you pay closer attention to your driving. Very efficient and valuable and I was able to verify that my ticket was dismissed shortly after course completion. I also called customer service a couple of times before I signed up to make sure I was doing it correctly. They were friendly and helpful. Five stars for them too! read more

As a senior I have taken Safe2Drive for a few years now. It's always cleverly done, very informative and interesting with added real incidents of accidents and such. I love the added 'fun' breaks. Oh my she is scared because she has Dyslexia and understanding somethings are very difficult for her. But this course gave her more confidence. $12.95 to $16.95 Traffic school that gets the job done, includes faxing the notice of your completion to your court. Didn't have much time to compare all the traffic schools available, but I choose this site because it was cheap, seemed legit and didn't try and pull a fast one with unnecessary fees. I liked the clean layout and easy of navigating the site, a bonus that logging in after taking a break picks back up where you left off. The minus one star is all because of the stupid timer the put on each section so you have to wait up to 40 minutes before continuing onto the next section. Yes, this it adds up to a lot of time since there is 10 sections total. The mini-quizzes and final test itself only takes a minute to complete. They want to you to read each page but serious who does that!? The reason why you are taking online traffic school in the first place is to save time, if you don't value your time go take one of those comedy traffic schools instead! So a couple of months later, 5 days to the due date and more than $200 poorer, I hoped that the traffic school I chose would be forgiving. After checking yelp, I settled on safe2drive.com. I had heard rumors of timers that didn't allow for a speed demon like myself to race through the content to take the ridiculously easy questions at the end of each section. So I prepared for a few minutes of learnin' with some Facebook and YouPorn on deck for passing time. No need. For a measly $19, and 2 hours ( and I actually took my time for most of it ) I not only passed the 25 question test, I got a 92%. After checking on the California DMV site, I found over 200 choices for online traffic school -_____-. I decided to google and yelp the websites before I chose one to complete traffic school and am eternally grateful that I stumbled upon this site as the top rated choice on yelp. The HIGHLIGHT of this website is the consideration for the user. -You are able to take the entire course without paying, you only pay before you take the online final for certification -There are plenty of "gimmicks" and personal things that the website tacks on for fun, but they are not intrusive and you can literally skim/read all that you need to and take the quizzes and final exam at a pretty quick pace if that's what you want. -The 19$ fee is upfront and straightforward. All the other websites I checked(about 10 of them) all promised fees from around $8-30, but after googling and yelping, I found out that a lot of people had trouble with hidden fees. This is an excellent way to go if you have to do traffic school in California. You can take the course from your mobile device and the best thing is there are no forced time limits so you can do the course at your pace - fast or slow. Each of the 10 chapters concludes with a quiz that is very similar to the final exam. If you can complete the quizzes you will do fine on the final. The final is "open book" so you can go back to any chapter to review before you submit your answer. I found the course to be straightforward and the experience was easy and simple. The price was right (less than $20). Logging in and doing Traffic School from the comfort of your own home is way better than sitting in a formal class and wasting your whole day. I got a speeding ticket in Kern County, and so I needed to attend traffic school. It was over $400, which is bullshit. Then you have to pay an additional fee just for the opportunity to attend traffic school, then you have to pay that actual driving school. SAFE2DRIVE was $19 at the time I took it, and I feel that is the only reasonable fee that I encountered through this whole ordeal. It took me approximately 2.5 hours to complete this course; however, I was not working that fast. I actually read most of the material, or at least skimmed it. If you work at a fast pace, or if you are very confident with your knowledge on traffic laws, you can probably complete this course in an hour. There are a lot of optional games, puzzles, and animations that take extra time. You don't need to do these, unless you want a break from reading. At the time I took the course, March 2013, there was no timer, therefore I was able to move as fast or slow through each lesson as I like. You can take this course over multiple days if you prefer. You do not have to pay for the course until you make it to the final test; all of the instructional material is technically free. You are just paying for the test. The final test is 25 questions. For the most part, it is easy. I probably would have been able to pass without reading the instructional material, but I am not sure. There are a lot of little laws that I have forgotten over the years. How many feet before a right hand turn must you begin to signal? How many feet before a right turn are you allowed to merge into a bike lane? These are areas I needed a refresher. Overall: Screw the state of California. Traffic tickets of all kinds are ridiculously overpriced, and an unnecessary burden on the average working man and woman. read more

Based on other reviews, I opted for safe2drive.com because I wanted a no frills, straight=forward, to the point "gimme the info, gimme the test" kind of traffic school that wasn't going to waste a day. I didn't want to waste my time with a cartoon-y gimmick, be bombarded with ads, or something where my browser had to stay open for 6-8 hours to 'prove' i took the class....as I've heard about the typical online traffic school. For all that I didn't want, Safe2Drive.com was perfectly what I *did* want: *Inexpensive...the ticket was an already and arm and a leg *to the point *relatively fast They don't have any of the trick questions, no ads, and no timers Cost me $19, about 2 hours of my time, not very much brain power, and passed the final exam with a 96%. Each section has a quick quiz based on the material, and the final is comprised of questions mostly identical to the quizzes. The section also have little games, scenarios, anecdotes from real drivers/situations/police reports to keep it interesting, but i skipped ALL of that content and still passed - keeps ya engaged if you have A.D.D. ;) Certainly beats the old-fashioned, waste-a-day-of-your-life traffic school with lame instructors who think they are comedians and bore you out of your mind. Easy and fast. There are 10 sections with a quiz consisting of 5 questions after each section. You need 80% on each quiz to continue to the next section. If you don't pass the quiz, they tell you the answer to the question you got wrong. You may retake the quizzes as many times as you want. After you complete the 10 sections, you can take your final exam which consists of 25 questions. You need 70% correct to pass the final exam. You can take the final exam twice if you fail the first time without any additional fees. The final exam is open book so you can review all the course materials during the test. Best part of this traffic school is that you can skip through all the sections and go straight to the quiz which will save you massive amounts of time. Honestly you can finish the 8 hours worth of traffic school on here in about 30 minutes if you wanted to. Some other online traffic schools require you to stay on each section for a set amount of time but not this one. Oh yeah, while you're going through the sections, you can save and log off and then continue again any time. So basically you can complete this over a period of many days if you wish. For the California exam with 8 hours credit, I paid $19. They ask for payment after you complete the 10 sections before the final exam. Very fast and cheap. We all know how much it sucks getting a ticket and then having to give up a very precious full Saturday as punishment. This is a CA DMV approved course so any court in CA should accept it. There are 10 sections and you can get through them pretty fast. Interestingly, instead of trying to be "funny" like a lot of courses, they share some real life stories and pictures of events that are fairly interesting to browse through. However, if you're like me, you want to be done with this ASAP. At the end of each section is a 5 question quiz that is very easy and if you don't answer one of the "important" questions correctly, they let you re-take it and show you the answer so you can kind of know what to expect to see on the final. The website is very easy to navigate, some of their "games" on there are kind of useless and if you are in a hurry you can just skip them. The final is 25 questions (some of which are ridiculously easy freebies) and you only need a 70% to pass and you can take the exam twice before having to re-register all over again. Seriously, it's a joke how easy it is. There are just a few specific things you need to remember from the lessons like right of way at 4 way stops, the amount of feet you can drive in a bike lane, etc. These are in the quizzes though so none should come as a surprise. Once you are done, they electronically send your confirmation to the court and easy, peasy, BAM. Done. No filling out carbon forms in a classroom and trusting the 98 year old instructor who can barely walk to file them properly and send to the court. This is the digital age, efficiency is everything. The course was very straightforward with a sense of humor (yay!) and took me about 2.5 hours to complete. It's divided into 10 lessons and each lesson has 10 pages. Each lesson also has a 5 question quiz at the end that you can take as many times as you want (if you miss questions they tell you the right answer). The final exam at the end is 25 questions open book! You don't pay for the course until right before you take the exam. I got a 92% on my first try yay! I'm pretty sure no one likes to go to traffic school, but safe2drive.com made it pretty painless. The class is split up into 10 lessons, and within each lesson there are 10 pages. The first few pages in each lesson is the bulk of the lesson material, and the later pages are audio lessons, games, real world examples, etc. There are 5 question quizzes after each of the 10 sections, and they will give you a question specific to a story or example provided in each lesson to ensure you are actually reading it. After completing each section you have to answer an identity verification question (one of 10 questions that you answered when you signed up for the site, make a note or take a pic of your responses) in order to move on to the next lesson. After you're done with all of the lessons, you pay your $18.95 (for the ticket dismissal course) and take the final. You get two chances to take it in case you somehow fail the first time, which is mighty difficult to do since it's open book. Yes, there is a link at the bottom of the final which opens up the lesson materials. Also, many of the questions that are on each lesson quiz end up on the final. Hard to say how long I spent on it, I did it over the course of a few days, logging in here and there when I had some time. 75 in a 65 in Fairfield??? I know better as i go to Tahoe and Grass Valley often. Thankfully the traffic school was less painful than the ticket. The class at Safe 2Drive was well laid out, and took about 4-5 hours moving between my Mac and Tablet. Its all reading, with 10/10 lessons (100) and a final at the end. Price was around $20. Well worth it for the quality of website, and coursework. No ads, no hidden fees. What i was quoted, i paid before my 25 question final. Suggestions, Make it mobile friendly (i'm sure they're working on this). Responsive would be your best route. The Flash examples don't work on Apple tablets (iphones and ipads), so get those updated. read more

This was very straightforward and not gimmicky. I tried another course first which tried to be "fun" and "fast" it ended up wasting my time as I couldn't submit the answers. This one may seem a little more dry or boring or slow on the surface but it wasn't at all. It was 3 very enjoyable hours with a lot of extremely constructive information. I feel like I actually got real value from this that might save my life one day! Definitely worth some extra time on the computer. AND only $18.95. Definitely recommend this. This online traffic school was super easy to understand, fast, and cheap. It's a well designed site, with well organized chapters, clear information and even little extras like silly photos or slideshows and animations (not cheesy) to demostrate a point. This is totally no-stress, at the end of each chapter you can take the 10 question quiz as many times as you need to get to the next chapter, and each time you don't pass, they tell you which answers you got wrong and the right answer so you get it right the next time around. The final exam is the same but with 50 questions. I am very familiar with traffic laws so I didn't even read every chapter, only the ones that covered info I was unsure of. I sped through the whole thing in under an hour. My price, dependant on the court that issued my ticket, was only $15.95 and I found an online coupon code that lowered it to only $12.95. They promise to send the certificate directly to the court by fax for free, which, since I just finished, hasn't happened, but I'm confident there will be no issues. read more

I've taken online traffic school twice. The first time, I did it through a different site, I don't remember which one, and it was pretty lame. Super boring, and had these annoying (unrelated) questions built into each quiz to insure that you were reading everything. (I.E. The author of this sections favorite recording artist is?) I believe it took about 3.5 hours to complete. This time, I checked Yelp before selecting a school to attend and I found safe2drive.com. I was hoping that it would be a lot better than my first traffic school experience. Holy Cow! I really don't think this class could be much easier. The content was good, it was actually nice to get a refresher on some of the rules of the road. They incorporated stories, videos, games, and pictures to try to make it more interesting. I think I probably finished it in just under 2 hours total over a 2 day period. Talk about painless, it was easy to get through, and the price was very good. I can't recommend this site highly enough! I finished the class at about 4:00pm on a Wednesday, and my ticket was dismissed by 8:00am on Thursday. That's quick, I wouldn't advise waiting until the last minute though. Lastly, I really liked how they let me register for the class, and do all the work minus the final without even charging me. I haven't taken other courses so I can't compare this one to others, but I can definitely say it was worth it! Total it cost me about $168, that includes the fees for the actual ticket, I believe their cost was $24.99 or something (most inexpensive I found among my search). All of the fees were up front and they explained everything thoroughly. I was not once confused about the process or what they were charging me for, etc. I paid and started my course, UGH! I got through it pretty quickly, but because you can't retake it if you fail I wanted to be sure to read through it very carefully and take notes. I'm spending $168 bucks here, I'm not about to waste it because I'm lazy! We all know we have the time ;) Anyway, I like that they broke it up with a couple of audio clips here and there and some games. It added a little bit of fun to what is supposed to be surrious business! Tsk tsk! haha. I finished in a couple of days because I didn't have the patience to sit and read for hours and hours so be sure to give yourself plenty of time if you want to do it that way! The course has to be completed 7 days prior to your court date. They give you two questions to answer at the end of each section, cake! Then you take a 20 something quiz at the end, cake! They actually warn you in the beginning of the course to pay attention to the things they've marked in red. Very true because the things marked in red are pretty much everything they quizzed you on. Very easy! If you fail, I'm sorry, but you're an idiot. lol. They email you receipts, a certificate, etc., as well as send it to the DMV so you don't have to do it yourself. And to be honest I actually DID learn a few things. That is the point obviously, but most people think they know everything or that there's nothing new to be learned, but low and behold I finished with a couple of Oh! moments. My experience with Safe 2 Drive could not have been easier. The website interface is sleek and easy to navigate, unlike most of the other traffic schools I looked into. The traffic school cost me a total of $19 for an online course, online test, and a complimentary fax of results to the court. A lot of other schools actually make you take the final exam at a proctored place, AND don't send the results to the court for you. The course has 10 lessons, with 10 slides in each lesson. It's peppered with videos, games, and case studies to make it more interesting. I finished the whole course in about 3 hours. Honestly, I didn't even read the text. I just clicked to the quiz at the end of each lesson and did them then. The questions are mostly common sense, just pick the most "goody good" answer. The technical questions are easily searchable with a click of an open tab button. Highly recommended! read more

Way better than going to the in person classes!! This website was very upfront about what to expect. A few years ago I got a ticket and did an online course that did not give very straight forward information about what was on the test and I got ALL of the answers wrong because the test was based on what pictures of cats were on which page/section of the test. I was pretty angry needless to say. Safe2Drive.com provides a study guide, AND they tell you to watch for the phrases and such in that are red. Everything that's in red is pretty much on the study guide. There's a variety of multiple choice questions and true/false questions and they are pretty easy....Easy to the point that if you read all the possible answers there is CLEARLY only one right answer. I read previous reviews and they said there was no time requirements, I did have time requirements on mine, either because I'm in Arizona or because the laws have changed. I also paid before I started the course, I don't know if that changed or if I just didn't notice it said I could pay later. Either way I passed and I hope I don't get a speeding ticket again or at least not for another year. read more

I even dreaded the traffic school until the last week it is due (which is in a few days). I have just completed this and they even electronically send it to the court for you? Even better! I had to call for my last validation check, which I assume you normally don't need to, but somehow, I missed a validation check that they ask in between the quizzes.. This is my first time doing an online traffic school. I searched Google for a long time (way too long :-). Finally ended up trying safe2drive b/c of the reviews here on Yelp. I agree with the reviews! Safe2drive was great. It took me about 100 minutes to complete. Here's how it worked for me: - There are 10 sections - I would skim the content in each section and quickly take the quiz for each section. There are five questions in each section quiz. If you get four (80%) correct, you can move on to the next section. If you get only three correct, then you have to re-take the quiz. You can re-take the quiz as many times as you need. No penalty for that. - After you're done with the 10 sections, then you have a 25 question test. You have to get 20 correct (again, 80%). However, this time if you don't pass, then you can only re-take it once. If you fail twice, then you need to pay again for the course and take it all again. Again, I can't compare this with any other online traffic school. Maybe they're all this good. But I was very satisfied. read more

The questions you want to know are the how many feet questions and .10 is 1000 parts for blood alcohol. I finished in 2 hours with a 92%...... Highly recommend this class. read more

The course itself is pretty cheap at $16, but the wait is torture!! There are 10 sections that REQURE 40-50 minutes each and you cannot go onto the next section without waiting out the timer. There are also quizes at the end of each section that have "unique" questions, which are only in the course so you kind of have to skim everything, at the least. If you don't answer those "unique" questions correctly, you have to retake the quiz. I guess they keep it interesting with games and trivia, but it takes about 6-7 hours to complete the course. I don't know about other online traffic schools (and I don't hope to find out), but I guess it beats sitting in a classroom for 8 hours. read more

First ticket in my life and so I applied for traffic school. I googled and find reviews about Safe2drive.com on yelp, so I decided to try it. This is probably the only part you feel reasonable throughout the whole process. $2xx fine plus $7x for requesting a traffic school, this website only charge $18.95! I am a slow and serious reader, so I need ~4hrs to complete. But after taking the 25 MC final exam, I seriously I should spend much less time on it. The exam is as easy as hell! Got it the first time I took it.Many of them are the same as the MC quiz in the end of each chapter, and they will show you the right answer if you got the wrong one. No ads, and alongside with all those funny facts, photos, games and etc. This course is totally enjoyable. And you actually brush up some of your driving rules knowledge. Recommend! read more

Just sat through the online traffic school. I chose Safe2Drive based on the Yelp reviews and I wanted to add my positive review. The experience though a little time consuming went smoothly. It took around 5 hours to complete the course. I skimmed about half the information and read thoroughly the other half. I didn't play any of the interactive games. The course is split into 10 section with each section followed by a short quiz. Most of the quiz questions were in the final exam. The questions asked were pertinent. My husband just finished the course with a different company and he was asked strange questions like what percentage of teens died in car accidents in 1989. I would highly recommend Safe2Drive to anyone stuck in the position of having to take the course. read more

At about $16 it was the cheapest I could find in a quick google search. All the tests are quite easy, I didn't read any of the material and just skipped ahead to the tests. The only pain is waiting for the timer to run out, but you can keep it going in the background as you work or surf the web. It's divided into 10 sections which all require a ~45min timer to run out. I've heard of other services where you can complete all the little tests at once and then let the timer run out, but I couldn't find/figure out which schools let you do that. All said and done I spent about 40 minutes signing up for the service and taking the actual tests. I passed the final with a 95%, and they faxed in my results... good to go. Excellent traffic school choice. This online school made the traffic school process as simple and painless as it could be. I appreciated their attempts at humor and the games they included; they broke up the monotony, but were not required if you didn't want to participate in all of them. I did not rate them at 5 stars simply because, at times, the chapters felt a little long. A couple of sections were a bit repetitive, and would benefit from some editing. Full disclosure: I just finished the course and received my certificate, but have not yet followed up with the court. I feel confident that all with go through smoothly, based on how efficient the website has been, so far. That aside, I highly recommend safe2drive.com.
