Waited weeks for a response for help with a problem on the website which inhibited my from making any progress on the course after section 4 of part 4. Very negative experience, did not get any response until my legal council contacted the school on my behalf- and suddenly they were interested in helping after weeks of ignoring me. I am now overdue for my course to be submitted to the court and it is the fault of this school. I would never recommend this school to anyone under any circumstances. The videos themselves have repetitive content, varying audio levels, and outtakes within the videos. This leads me to believe that very little care was put into the quality of the actual video content which is an upcharge from the "basic course." Voiceover segments make it clear that instead of updating the videos to match changing laws, voiceover segments which are significantly louder than the rest of the course material were hastily added. Not to mention, after the first video, there is very little attempt to be funny at all. The end cost is more than double what is advertised if you get their "necessary add ons." I did not and used the promo code FUNNY to get some small discount but overall this was a terrible experience. read more

Their website somehow added Video / Audio as an "add - on" for $10 without my approval and when I called to get the cost adjusted I was asked to wait while they worked with their IT team, only to be kept on hold for an hour with no updates. False advertising!! I enrolled in this class, because I thought that watching the content presented in a funny way would take the sting out of going to traffic school. However, "Eric Estrada and his funny friends" were totally unfunny and boring. I paid for the video content, which was disjointed, long, slow and, again, NOT FUNNY, only to find out that there was an hour long test at the end. So I had to review pages and pages of notes, which was mind-numbing and need I say it again? NOT FUNNY!!! With all of the upselling and fees it came out to about $80, which was no bargain considering what I got. Getting a ticket is not fun, but if you do get one you will need to pay the court to go to traffic school and on top of that pay for class just to remove the point. Luckily I had the option of doing this online. I found this course on the DMV website and the only website that they offer online courses. The course itself costs around $30 dollars $19.95 for the course, $9.95 for process fee. Got to love those processing fees. I called the number and they setup me up with a login and password. Then, you have to answer 10 security questions, but the school does e-mail the answers to you if you forget. I log into the website and the best part is that you do not have to go through the whole course in 1 shot and I split the class up into 2 days in 2 hour sessions. But the course material is a lot of reading that it can be boring and monotonous. If you read the DMV handbook that is how it feels like. So I recommend breaking up into sections if you want to read all of the material. There are 11 sections and after you read a section, they ask you 3 questions and you have to answer them correctly. Some sections are way longer than others. Some take 20 minutes and others took me as long as 40 minutes to read. There are some videos and jokes included, but they are not long, but the experience is like reading the DMV handbook with some corny jokes in them. If you end up signing off the computer to take a break, you have to go back to the website and log in and answer all of the questions I would say it took me 5 hours to complete with final exam included. I think at the final section, I got restless and wanted to take the final exam. The final test is nothing like the questions you take in the section as they are more geared towards like taking the written exam at the DMV. It is open book so you can go by each of the section and try to find the answer. I could not use the find key which is the downfall. You can use google if you want to find some of the answers as well, but the key is getting 70% or better, so you only are allowed to miss 7 of them. I ended up missing 2 questions. I could not remember most of the material so I had to look for the answers. Anyways was not a bad experience. Was it funny no, did I expect it to be funny and entertaining, no as I did take a comedy traffic school before in person and it was pretty much the same thing lots of material. read more

And I'm only finding this out now, when my insurance told me they're jacking up my premiums next month. Beware of what this will actually cost you. The coupon savings is for a written course and not a video course with written materials, which is the impression you get when you sign up. The video course is NOT funny as implied by the name Comedy Traffic School. There are lots of typographical errors in the video and you are subjected to a poorly animated video teacher for a good deal of it. Repetition of basic information seems to be their approach. Bottomline: I would not recommend opting for the video course. You have to be very careful if you want to opt out. It is apparently on the second page when you sign up. Also, at the end, you have to call to pay if you want to opt out of their "bundled" options, which include a copy of your certificate of completion (you would think you would at least get this included in the price). And, you won't receive a receipt breaking down the total you paid. I would probably choose another company if I have to do this again. I wasted many hours watching an uninformative video. Hands down the easiest online traffic school ever! No one wants to go to traffic school and unfortunately, I had no choice but to enroll myself into online traffic school and Comedy Traffic School couldn't be anymore easier. The DMV provided me a long list of Traffic Schools to choose from. I did a quick search on Yelp for Traffic School and Comedy Traffic School popped up. I looked it up on the DMV list and it was listed there so I enrolled. The initial price was $34.95 but as soon as you go onto their website, it offers you a $15 off coupon. Write down the coupon code if you have trouble remembering things because you cannot enter the code until you complete the course. Code was "funny." After reading the reviews on Yelp, I was a little overwhelmed. Some people said it took 6 hours to complete the course and some people broke it out over the course of 2-3 days. I chose to read the material because Comedy Traffic School does charge extra for the extra bells and whistles. I think the options were reading material, audio, and maybe video? Obviously audio and video was extra. I'm not going to lie, the reading material is a lot! Here are some tips: Copy and paste each section into Microsoft Word and Control F the keywords when taking the quiz and/or Final exam to look for the answers. The quiz consist of 5 multiple choice questions for each of the 5 sections and there is a final exam at the end. The quiz questions were pretty straight forward and the answers were pretty obvious. Such as "The railroad crossing gates are coming down. What do you do? Speed up to beat it, park on top of the tracks, or stop before the tracks." OK not that question in particular but as you can tell, you would know which answer to select. The final exam was a little longer but out of 20 questions, I got 3 incorrect and I passed! I read that someone finished the course in 30 minutes and I can confirm that this is possible but I won't incriminate myself lol. At the end, it will offer you the extras for an additional cost. $10 PDF hard copy of the completion certificate, $10 for them to contact the court and verify that it was received, and $10 same day certificate to be sent to the court. I selected No for all because I live on the wild side but when I continue to check out, it asked me one last time for an email confirmation of completion or something like that for $5.99. I agreed. So I paid a total of $34.95 minus $15 plus $5.99 = $25.94. I did receive an email confirmation but honestly, I think everyone gets one. Select what makes you sleep better at night for peace of mind. One last thing. I did have a question that required a telephone call and someone answered the phone right away and they were really helpful. Their customer service phone number is 800-301-0060.
