I was very hesitant to have my daughter take her 6 hours lessons here due to the negative reviews. After reading the positive reviews, I'd decided to take a chance since they were cheaper than the other two schools with five stars. Anyway, Romeo was the instructor all three times. First day, he told her to drive. She was surprised and said that she did better than she thought. They took breaks at the office and was taught rules of the road. The second day was pretty much the same. The last day was spent on the streets and freeway. My daughter said that he was nice, positive, instructional and motivational. That's all a mom needs to hear! He told her what she needed to work on and to come back one more time more she takes the driving test. She is happy and confident after this experience. It takes some courage to review a traffic school because nobody wants to admit that they took liberties on the road that resulted in being required to attend. Secondly, who wants to admit that they liked the experience as this is part of the punishment process. Well after attending Hye Traffic School, I must admit that I was pleasantly surprised with this school as I was expecting a long and boring process, for which it was anything but. The staff genuinely care about the students, the fee is reasonable and they run a quality program. During my class, the owner called the instructor and informed him that there was a woman coming in late because apparently her class from another company was canceled and she was going to admit her late and work with her after class to ensure that she was able to get credit for going. It tells you a lot about a company when they take responsibility not just only for their business but also for the mishaps of competitors, all for the benefit of the customer. All in all, I had an amazing experience, I hope that I don't ever have to repeat it, however I'm glad there's a company that puts it's students first and is willing to help people when they need it. read more

I have to say I learned a lot from this driving school. I booked a 2 hour driving session (regular price $90, but I paid $80 because I chose to come to their office) and a 1 hour refresh on Thursday before my behind the wheel test, using their vehicle for the test ($120). The prices were really affordable. My appointment was at 9:30am on Monday, July 20, 2015. I arrived really early at 9:00am, right when they just opened, but they were glad to start my lesson early so I wasn't sitting around. They made a copy of my permit and even gave me a nice envelope to keep mine in. Their facilities were clean and in a safe neighborhood. Their office is in the back of the collection of buildings in case anyone gets lost. I like how close to the Glendale DMV their office is! The car they used was in really good condition. It was maintained really well. I felt safe using it. My instructor was an older gentleman. He was very direct and pointed out when I made errors. He also pointed out when I did things correctly (though those were few and far between lol). He was very patient with me and took the time to take me through the Glendale DMV multiple times. Afterwards, we got back to the office and had a mini-lesson/review. My instructor pointed out my biggest mistakes and things I really needed to watch out for for the test. This really shows how much the company cares about your learning. I asked him if he felt like I could pass my behind the wheel test (just a few days later, on Thursday), and he said he felt like I had a 75% chance of passing. As such, I asked him if he thought I should book another lesson in between now and my driving test on Thursday, and he said it wouldn't be necessary. This was a true sign to me that they weren't just out for money! Good, honest people. I decided to book another lesson anyway because I want to be sure and pass on Thursday. I really appreciated his tips. After my lesson, I felt a lot more confident about my upcoming behind-the-wheel test just a few days later. Wish me luck for my behind the wheel test on Thursday! I'm 21 years old, and I put off driving for a couple of years now. Since I have to commute to my college now, I decided I needed to get my driver's license. I never have driven before coming to Hye Traffic and Driving School. I was extremely nervous, but my driving instructor, Alfred, made me feel calm and confident about my driving. Note that I only took 6 hours of driving instruction. 8/12, 8/14, 8/18 I had my driving lessons with Alfred (2 hours each), and in only 18 days (8/30) I passed my driving test! I noticed Alfred purposely made the practice driving routes for the dmv test harder, as the actual test was a breeze. Also, he took me to the freeway on our last instruction, which I really thank him for. But remember to practice driving on your own as well! He was informative, polite, patient, and not only did he give me advice for the test, but also on insurance and life stuff as well - as I had just moved to L.A from overseas. I found HYE through Yelp and I am so glad I did! I had Mike as an Instructor and he was absolutely fantastic. Not only did he explain the road rules, but he also explained the reasons behind them. I have been an Australian driver for many years, so Mike's task was even more difficult as I had to get used to a different side of the road, a different side of the car, different road rules, speed limits and much more. Switching your mind from one set of rules to another requires patience when you are learning and Mike had plenty of it! I had a problem three days before my driving test because the DMV had made a mistake on my permit. The team at HWE completely understood and shuffled many bookings around to fix the problem for me. I was very grateful, but not surprised, as their customer service throughout this entire process, from booking to the lessons was superb. Everyone is very nice and professional from the girl at the front desk to the driving instructor. Prices are lower than the other driving schools, and everything is more convenient and easy. I did a couple of hours with Alfred, the instructor, and passed the test within my first try! I'm very happy I chose Hye Traffic for my driving school! There were two weeks left until my permit expired! I didn't know, and needed to get my six hours done to take the driving test. I called Hye Traffic and driving School, and the girl at the front desk answered and we set up an appointment over the phone. Hi... I have tried other driving school before going Hye and chose Hye based on yelp review, this is the best thing I did. My instructor was Romeo he was soft spoken and taught me everything about driving since i was very new to this country and driving. I took total of 3 classes from Hye and I cleared my behind the wheel on the first attempt. Romeo my instructor was considerate enough to hear my confusions and concern about driving. He would point at mistakes that i would do and help me correct it. I am completely satisfied with the driving experience that i got through Hye the only reason i gave 4 start is for the timings Hye operates. As they don't teach after 5pm and it was tough for me to manage my time for lessons. read more

I've been meaning to write a review for Hye Traffic for over a month. I got my Driver's License with only 3 mistakes (I am STILL horrible at turns) on the first try, all thanks to Romeo! The first time I called Hye Traffic was right after I passed my written test and found them through Yelp. They're one of the highest-rated driving schools and now I know why. I called with a few questions before booking the first appointment and the person who answered the phone was incredibly helpful. I just knew right after talking to him that this was THE place. I told myself this was going to be the year to learn how to drive. Unfortunately, no one from my family wanted to help me without getting some training... so you see where this led to. I Yelp'ed traffic schools and decided to go with Hye. It honestly was the best idea ever, my original package was the 6 hour and I would decide where to go from there. My instructor ended up being Alfred, and he guided me through the basics of everything leading up to the driving test. He was strict thankfully, because you honestly need to learn the hard way to be a better driver. He was also always open to questions and was quick to point out errors and fast reflexes to keep you safe from mistakes. He took me around the areas focused on the Glendale DMV and familiarized me with many traffic signs.Some people might take offense to him being frank but it isn't a bad thing. After the 6 hrs were up, he let me know that I needed more practice, which I also felt I needed and bought the 4 hr plus the use of his car for the test. In total I had 10 hrs of instructor training and 3 hrs privately with family and needless to say I passed my driving test on my first try with only 2 errors!! I will definitely be returning customer to get the training on freeway really soon since I am still learning to drive around a bit more. P.S: 3 of the school's students passed that day! I decided to see how YELP worked. Hye Driving School came up with the most stars. I read the reviews, and made the phone call. Alfred was very helpful. He told me what the different packages were for drivers training. I decided on the full package. I want my daughter to be a good safe driver. So, I signed up for the 10 hours of drivers training. They do it, in 2 hour segments. Alfred was very professional, and so was his staff. They would call a couple of days in advance to confirm my daughters appointments. (That was helpful, because I have a bad memory). Alfred made my daughter feel very comfortable with her driving. He was polite when offering advice. He took her on the freeway, taught her to park in a parking space, parallel park, and took her on the path that the driving instructors in Glendale take you on. I couldn't have asked for a better experience for drivers training. Hye Traffic and Driving School, picked my daughter up, and dropped her off for her lessons. Alfred even scheduled an appointment online for my daughter at the DMV. She took her driving test 2 days after her last class, and passed! He helped me not only prepare for my DMV driving test, but also helped me practice for real-life driving situations not covered on the test (e.g. driving on the freeway, u-turns, parallel parking). I would like to preface this as we entrusted this driving school to teach our teenage daughter on how to drive from the sterling yelp reviews. I assume from our experience these reviews are fake or we got the worst possible instructor. He was either a deaf mute or he wasn't interested in communicating anything. The car had roll up windows with no AC or he didn't want to use it to make our daughter want to quit early. This company is just fleecing people with junky cars and terrible instructors. Out daughter had to enroll in another school since she learned nothing and is now very happy. Don't waste your time and with these guys. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. These guys are scammers. read more
