I had the male instructor. He is someone with very little patience and a short temper. I couldn't understand on multiple occasions what he was asking of me - "Don't hesitate!" "You can't keep stopping for so long at the stop sign!" "Why aren't you stopping at the stop sign?! Don't you realize if you get hit it's your fault and no one cares?" He was constantly annoyed at my every move and made me more afraid to drive than ever. Keep in mind, I had already passed my driver's test, but I just wanted to get a few extra hours of practice under my belt. If anything, this made me a worse driver because it made me a nervous driver, and I kept getting distracted by the constant negative retorts about my driving. And whenever I said "I don't understand" or "I'm confused," he would respond: "Why? It's so simple." It started off pretty well. Hence the three stars. I had a male instructor. He was kind at first but had very little patience and repeatedly asked me if I had someone else who could help me practice. I was surprised that I wasn't taken to a parking lot or a much safer area where I could practice. He was constantly annoyed with every move, and that added extra pressure. For example -- He corrected me even when I did exactly what he said and then walked back on it. Keep in mind, this is the first time I've ever driven a car in my life. I'm sure he's taught thousands of students but the number of times I was compared to his other students and then snapped at, convinced me that if I continued taking these classes, the less inclined I would be to drive any car, ever. To any instructor reading this, be kind and be patient. This isn't fun for first timers and if you have anything nice to say, don't hesitate. This was nerve-wracking and I hope to find a new instructor who could be more calm than the one I experienced. Lastly, if you're willing to deal with this disposition, I recommend it. I took 5 lessons from another driving school in Burbank and I was not confident and I wasn't happy with the experience so I tried Kings Driving School. I am a mom of two kids who had never driven a car. If you are searching for a driving school for your teenager, I recommend this school as a parent. Martin came to my house on time, I told him I am a new driver who has never driven a car. He first game me instructions of where my feet should be, where the blind spots are, what each button does before we start driving. Which other schools didn't even teach me in 5 lessons. From the first 10 minutes, the lesson from Martin was way better and worth every penny! He was definitely strict, but not in a mean way. He was serious, he was focused 100% on me and constantly telling me where and what I should be looking at at each moment (the mirrors, the speed, pedestrians, the road signs) . I was stressed out because I couldn't do everything he told me to do. But this was what I needed. He's not looking at Facebook and Instagram during the lesson like some other driving teachers I had. He won't be talking about his life or my life. He will NOT make you drive on the freeway on your first lesson like the other school did to me which was very dangerous. He will be talking about everything you need to know for your driving test and techniques. He also made me take driving seriously. He is not teaching for just passing the exam, he wants you to be a great driver for your safety and others. I just passed my driving test today and it was thanks to Isabella! I took 3 lessons with her and had her take me to the test in the driving school car. I've taken other lessons before but Isabella was the only one who actually made me feel more comfortable and confident on the road. She is extremely patient and knowledgeable, and has great attention to detail. She helped me repeat skills that I was having issues with until I felt comfortable, and would always offer to stop and explain traffic rules in detail if I was confused. She was also extremely helpful with my drive test today - we practiced for a few hours prior to the test and then she came into the DMV with me to help me register. I felt very supported throughout the process and was glad to have her with me. Do not ever, ever let your loved one take driving instructions from this company. A person by the name of Isabella just dropped off my twenty years old daughter at my porch. She was so adamant about telling me what happened during my daughter's two-hour driving lesson that she stormed out of her car and told me that my daughter should never be driving because she was not cooperating with her. What she did not realize was that my daughter did not cooperate with her only because as soon as Isabela started getting impatient with her, my daughter had anxiety, especially since she was wearing a mask. This woman was extremely unprofessional and called my daughter names. When she approached me, she first said, "I don't know what's wrong with your daughter; she doesn't follow the rules." I deal with clients with anxiety every day, and I know how frustrating it can be for them, especially our younger generation. Is that professional to tell them "they should never drive?" This is pure harassment and trauma, which will require many sessions of therapy!!! What kind of instructor would discourage her own client. This person should never be in the business of teaching! She was so focused on getting her 130.00 dollars that she did not notice the person driving was having major anxiety! This woman should never be allowed to teach, but unfortunately, she is the owner's wife and will be there as long as people give her money. I politely told her that she should have stopped the car ten minutes after driving if my daughter was not following the rules. I would have gladly given her the entire amount without any judgment. However, she was so focused on getting her money that she did not stop the lesson and kept harassing my daughter with her cruel comments. Do not ever hire this company for driving lessons! read more

He is firstly remarkable for who he is with his values, his kindness, friendliness, understanding and secondly as a professional driving instructor who is always ready to go an extra mile to explain the driving nuances in such details. He knew and could use his teaching approach in such a way so that I both felt in my comfort zone and also accepted the seriousness and the pressure in order to complete my lessons and test as appropriate and expected. Isabel is awesome. Brought my son here almost 2 years ago per my co-worker's recommendation. My son took only 6 hours of behind the wheel w/ Isabel & passed his test & got his license after the first try. My older daughter who had failed the test multiple times, decided to also go to King's to see if they could help her & surely they did. She passed right after a 2 hour behind the wheel lesson w/ a male instructor from King. This place is wonderful, price is decent, but most importantly, the students enjoy their lessons and the results show. This is the place for learning. I have taken my lessons with Ms. Isabelle, a perfect educator. She is strict because driving is no game, you are responsible not only for yourself, & even for the others. She keeps on mentioning about the safeties & dos & donts. I had my first driving lesson in the United States from them and i had the worst experience. My test was in a week, as i had taken some classes before in Europe, I thought of taking 2-3 refresher classes here. The instructor was a nice person but his style of teaching was not something i recommend for first time drivers. He was very intense and made me very very nervous. I went to another driving school in Glendale where the instructor paid little to no attention to me driving and took me up in residential areas a lot so when I took my test the first time, I failed since I was so scared of the road and other cars. Martin was super great! I've failed my driving test 2 times in Glendale before having lessons, and then with just 6 hours of lessons he got me up to a passing standard! Kings Driving School is the best driving school I've been to. I've had three in total and this one was the one. Martin really knew what he was doing and he was so patient and kind. I hadn't driven a car in over a month or two but in one session, I was able to drive right away with no difficulties. I had set a goal for myself to learn how to drive this summer and decided to get some driving lessons to help with that goal. I decided to get six hours of lessons from King's Driving School since my brother took lessons from there (and passed the driving test on his first try) and because the other school I went to was subpar. I'm so happy I decided to go with King's Driving School! I had Martin for all 3 lessons and he was everything you could ever want in an instructor. He was very kind and attentive throughout the lesson. He made sure to point out any mistake that I had made and gave a thorough explanation for what I did wrong, why it was considered wrong and/or not safe, and what I should be doing to fix it. He was incredibly patient with me (even when I made the same mistake repeatedly throughout a lesson) and made sure that I understood everything that he was saying. Furthermore, I never felt put down by him while he was critiquing me. During our lessons, I had a lot of questions about what to do when in very specific scenarios while driving, and he always gave a definitive answer and a good explanation for each answer. I started to practice driving in late July, got 3 lessons from King's Driving School in mid-August, and passed my driving test on my first try on August 19th! Well, they are prompt, the cars are new and in great condition. My female friend had a bad experience with one of the male instructors, who shall remain nameless, that lost his cool. After the second two hour class, and a lot of finger snapping, she came home crying. We asked for another instructor, and got Isabella that was friendly, patient and understanding. I tried to reach an agreement for two classes more because the first two were a failure, offering to pay for one class if my friend got second one. They declined. Did most of the driving herself and kept making me nervous by pointing out how I didn't know the details. I've driven in 3 other countries over a span of 15 years.
