On Friday 3/11/16 we held our daughters birthday/graduation dinner in the private room downstairs. Jennifer the event coordinator was wonderful to work with truly a professional, listening to what I wanted and making perfect suggestions. The manager came in to check to see if everything was to our liking, which we greatly appreciated. The waitresses assigned to us that evening, Lauren & Kim, could not have been nicer! They did an excellent job, they were lovely. Our food was outstanding, everyone's dish was prepared as they asked. The guidance I was given on wine selection was perfect too. My husband and I were so pleased with the whole evening, we can not thank everyone at Abby Park for making it such a memorable and GREAT evening. Great service and great food! Was seated quickly and greeted by our server moments after with waters in hand. Wish I could remember her name but she was attentive and so friendly! We got the crab cake appetizer, sea scallops with lobster risotto, and the linguini bolognese which were all delicious! To top it off I was in the restroom when the food was delivered and the manager Jeffery actually got a second bowl to cover my food and keep it hot!! Abby Park is my Cheers. I moved into Milton in 2012 and have eaten here many times. I'm strictly gluten free and this restaurant has never let me down. I've never been burned on the gluten issue. Plus this restaurant, and their pink grapefruit martini, saw me through knocking down a house, building a new one, a divorce, a job promotion and my eldest taking and indefinite leave of absence from Ivy League college. As a Quincy resident I was excited that our Milton neighbors have a new restaurant and since East Milton Square is fairly close to where I live I hoped it would be a good place for us too. But that's not the case. On our first visit last week (and last visit) I ordered the "Double Cut All Natural Pork Chop fruit mostarda, semolina polenta, Swiss chard & roasted beets" Unfortunately for me I like double cut chops medium rare. Not at Abby Park! To her credit the wait person explained that the pork chops are pre-baked and only briefly cooked again for serving and invariably come out well done. She said some customers who didn't know this became extremely upset with her and she wanted to warn me. Thanks. We left. read more

Last night was our third trip to Abby Park. All three times our expectations have been far exceeded in both the wait staff and the food. The appetizers were creative and delicious. The last time we were there, they also had $1.00 oyster specials! The dinner entrees were perfectly prepared everytime. I tried the new meatloaf and I have to say that it will likely be my new favorite entree at Abby Park. I really like the location, but the food and the service will keep us coming back. The waitstaff really seem to love their jobs and the manager, Lance, was very friendly and stopped by our table to check on us and introduce himself. read more

A friend and I wound up at Abby Park kind of by accident. He had tried to surprise me with dinner at FatCat in Quincy, but when we got there, it was a 30-40 minute wait. When we winced at that, the FatCat hostess said: "Well, it IS a very popular place..." That decided for us right there. There are some places I'll wait for, but not one with staff that arrogant. So, driving around and looking for somewhere else we stumbled on Abby Park and got a parking spot right out front. When we got inside the noise level was deafening. I couldn't even hear the hostess, but my friend could and asked about sitting someplace quiet. Well! We were whisked through the restaurant and downstairs to the private dining room in the basement area. MUCH more quiet than the upstairs. Apparently there was going to be someone performing music upstairs, but the quiet was more important to us. I like to be able to talk at dinner. Service continued to be great and our waiter showed much patience with my changes of side dishes. We both had the Kobe Beef Burger as we didn't want a big heavy meal. We also had the battered, fried articholkes as an appetizer. Everything was superbly delicious, right down to the bread & butter pickle slices. (Pickled on-premises with cherry peppers and what tasted like a hint of cinnamon - we asked). The garlic spinach instead of fries was really good, too. I had no problem with the basement dining room because it was tastefully decorated and suited our needs perfectly. I was so happy with the food and service that I tipped above 20% and I almost never do that! I'll be going back and I highly recommend you do the same. read more

Went to dinner with wife and daughter for daughter's birthday. Ken (our waiter) and Jeff (G.M.) went out of their way to make our visit memorable. My wife asked if they were able to make her a pear martini. They actually went across the street to a local liquor store to purchase the necessary ingredients since pear martini was not in their usual repertoire. The martini was excellent and the service was perfectly attentive. Our main courses (short ribs, meatloaf, chicken) came out together, hot and perfectly presented.....not to mention that everything was delicious. We have been here several times and eagerly await our next visit!!! read more

I was looking for a nice restaurant outside of Boston for my birthday. After reading the yelp reviews and drooling over the menu, I decided on Abby Park and I was thrilled with the whole experience. We made a reservation online, and I had to call and say we'd be a little late, which wasn't a problem at all. We (my parents and I) were promptly seated. The decor is a little bland and looked almost like a chain restaurant. But out waitress was friendly and energetic and we got comfortable quickly. Our appetizers were delicious and almost big enough to be a meal on their own! I should also add that the (white) bread and olive oil dip were really good. So good, in fact, that my mother devoured two pieces and she only eats wheat bread. Our entrees (sea scallops, tuna, and pork) came out quickly and were exceptional. My parents are professional cooks and the biggest food critics I know. Impressing them is damn near impossible and they both raved about their meals. I had the scallops and the sauce on them was unreal! We all cleared our plates, which is rare for us. The only time the restaurant fell flat was for dessert. While the dinner menu is fantastic, the dessert menu is average. My parents complained to the waitress, who handled their comments very well. And when the waitress learned it was my birthday, she comped us my chocolate lava cake. All in all, it was a great birthday dinner. The combination of excellent food, great service, and location make Abby Park a wonderful place to go. While the dessert menu can use some work, I was so impressed by the food that it's a five star review from me. I can't wait to go back! read more

hello, this is a great place to go and have a drink but on a busy night they are slow and the food is just above dinner food at 3 times the price. The menu sounds alot better than it taste. I went on music night. I am sorry but of all the greay vocalist in this city that is what you ended up with. Night want to look for a better singer if you are trying to bring people in the door.. i would return but only for drinks and maybe a app at the bar only. This place aspires to be an elegant restaurant but consistently falls short. It has a decent menu but seemly prepared by a 1/2 rate cooks. The dishes are over cooked, over sauced or uninspiring. Abby Park in East Milton, MA is a gem. The service was attentive but not overbearing. The food was superb. An appetizer of tomato and buffalo mozzarella was as good as it gets. I had one of the excellent specials of the evening - lamb chops cooked perfectly with a delicious risotto. The lobster special was very tasty and the pork chops were wonderful. The drinks and the wine were terrific. The restaurant was almost full and yet noise was not a factor. We were so satisfied that none of us had dessert. I highly recommend Abby Park. read more

I love this restaurant! I've tried several different dishes off the menu and every one is as good as the last. Love the shrimp scampi pizza, the wagyu burger, the truffle fries and the short rib sandwich. Some will say it's pricey but the food is superb, the wait staff is extremely accommodating and attentive and the atmosphere is that of an upscale bistro. I went to Abby Park earlier this week with my father and my aunt. I ordered a well-done cheese burger with bacon. The first burger came out and blood was pouring out of the burger onto my plate. It was a repulsive scene. Still hungry for a burger and not thinking that this restaurant would have incompetent cooks, I ordered another. The second burger did not have the same amount of blood oozing out of it from the outside, so I was hopeful that it was going to be well-done when I started chewing it. It was not; the burger was medium-rare. Other than this, the servers were good, not great. They did not look surprised that I received the two burgers; it felt almost as if this ordeal has happened to other customers. If you are planning on going to this restaurant for a burger, expect to receive it under-cooked. Last note: I have tried hundreds of burgers in my lifetime; if you are hungry for one, you are better off buying one from almost any other restaurant, including McDonald's, than at Abby Park. read more

Abby Park has pretty good food and drinks. The service is generally good....being in the business myself, I pride myself on expedient and excellent customer service. I find that excuses are made and the buck is passed when something goes wrong and unfortunately is not easily rectified. I have to say that Mike Stanford definitely adds a touch of class and genuine kindness to the restaurant going out of his way at all times to make sure the patron is completely satisfied. More people like him should be hired. Don't think I will go back again after last visit where the check was completely wrong and took over an hour to rectify with an attitude from acting manager. ( not Michael, unfortunately gone for the evening) No personality or interest in our returning even after spending over $200.....oh well, can't win them all. I am a local to Milton and have been here 10+ times. Abby Park can be very busy on Fridays and Saturdays but I usually can get in if I call in ahead. The restaurant is great if you have a big party and are organized with reservations. Importantly, the bathrooms are always clean! The service is great; the workers always recognize us when we come in and are extremely friendly and welcoming. I usually get the lettuce wraps as an appetizer which are very tasty, although a little bit messy. As my main course, I get a filet mignon cooked medium and a side of parmesan truffle fries. The steak is great and is always the perfect texture for me. The fries have exceptional flavor and are perfect with some ketchup. Other sides like mashed potatoes, brussel sprouts, and asparagus are also enjoyable. If you go on a day that is very busy, sometimes the service can be slow, otherwise its generally quick. Overall I think Abby Park is a great, family friendly restaurant with tasty food. read more

Milton Square has plenty of good dining options. You really can't go wrong. Abby Park is a definite staple. The food is always good. I have ordered before and thought it was fine and not great, but that was maybe on 2 out of 10 visits. The manager almost always makes his way to the table to say hello. That's a nice touch. The bartenders always take notice right away if you are standing nearby waiting for a table. I have never felt like they were too busy or ignored which is definitely not the case at most busy bars/restaurants. It's a comfortable place to bring kids as well. Will keep going back. read more

Went to Abby Park with a friend and her daughter. It was my first time but since I had heard so many good things about this place, I suggested it for lunch. It did not disappoint. It's absolutely lovely inside - rich wood throughout the restaurant with a beautiful bar staged in the middle. The owner, Vance, was very welcoming and thanked us for coming when we left. For the meal - both of us had salads, my friend the Cobb and me the Grilled Romaine with chicken. Generous portions of the salad and chicken. Scrumptious! The grilled romaine - grilled lettuce and the vegetables with balsamic and chicken. I had never had a warm romaine salad etc. but it was awesome! My friend's daughter has allergies and they were very accomodating on menu changes for this as well. Our water glasses and sodas were refilled without our prompting. Service staff was good. It was a very enjoyable lunch! The downside is parking: Milton limits on parking is a PAIN in the neck and certainly not business friendly. I parked a block away to avoid which was fun as it was an easy walk to the restaurant. read more

Last Thursday night I enjoyed a really delicious meal at Abby Park with two friends. I have to say that the place was jam packed at 8:30 and included a live (and very good) country-western band. I went to the web-site to find out what I ate, because it was that good; so good that I'm writing this review (which I never do...) We shared two appetizers, the first was Fried Artichokes with a tomato and caper topping & a lemony/garlicy/oil sauce. It was really good; even better was the "Arancini", which looked like round sesame balls but were risotto fritters with parmesan and another cheese (Fontina?) and a tomato sauce. That was excellent! (the prices weren't too high either). I don't know what the other guys had, but I had the salmon which was cooked (grilled?) perfectly, and had a strong-tasting relish on top (pine nuts, and a citrusy flavoring (there was a lot of relish; I didn't need it all, I just used some of it). And, the service was excellent, we didn't have to wait long for the courses and the manager checked in on us a couple of items. So, all in all, well worth it and we didn't have to go into Boston. read more

I dont have too much to say other than the service was the worst i have had in quite some time and the food came out terribly. i ahd the chicken dinner and i have to say that it wasn't the least bit satisfying and had very little flavour, also the food was cold i know the server was somewhat new and i asked her to check on the food so why it came out cold is a surprise. hopefully they can get it right as i live near and i am recently divorced i would like to go there to meet some people. i will say the bartendenders are very friendly but do not know there wines very well. read more

A $236 + tip dinner for 5 should be better, the chicken my wife had was good but the seafood Fra diavolo left a lot to be desired! To be fair the taste was good but the portion was by far in a way the smallest I have ever received anywhere. The fra diavolo came with two clams, two scollops, one shrimp and a small amount of calamari on a small bed of pasta with a spicy red sauce. The server was pleasant and didn't rush us. This is not concerning a single instance but rather a few.. Every time I have gone to Abby Park I find myself surprised that I have no complaints. They don't have the biggest menu in the world but what they do have they do just right. The food is always cooked perfectly and the tastes are amazing. They stopped carrying it, why I have no idea, but they had by far the best Lamb Chops in New England. read more

We arrived early for pre-dinner cocktails at the bar. Girl bartender didn't notice us. She was in deep conversation with a couple at the bar, which annoyed us, because the other bartender was busy making the server drinks. Finally the guy caught up and noticed us, and saw that his coworker was not paying us attention. Drinks were good, albeit expensive. Hostess sat us at our table. Our server had a BAD attitude-- to go with her bad Russian or Albanian accent. Poor eye contact. Even rolled her eyes when i asked to change my order! Literally the worst service I've experienced at a restaurant. Her family must own the place. Food was good-- but not great. 2.5 stars. read more
