Kristin's has been a staple in my life for a few years now! They are always so friendly and you are seated usually within minutes of arriving, even if it's a busy day. As a vegan, I find it hard to enjoy traditional diners, but I always order the super deluxe home fries with no cheese and some toast. There are so many options for everyone. I don't typically write reviews because I don't believe in speaking ill of employees but I had to this time around. I've eaten here many times and the experiences have been good. However, this time around our experience was terrible. Our server was rude and nasty and she made us feel as if we were a burden on her. She judged the amount of food one of us ordered and then modified the order without consent. Then she became upset when we asked for plastic utensils and proceeded to tell us that we needed to ask for plastic utensils before hand so they didn't have to waste their silverware. Her overall attitude the entire time was very poor. Then she had a nerve to get upset when she didn't receive a tip. read more

Walked in with my sister after seeing the great reviews about the food & service. We were greeted & told to choose a spot where we felt comfortable. I ordered a tea & my sister had an orange juice. After waiting approximately 30 min (mainly caught up in conversation) we noticed people who arrived after us were being served but the waitress never returned to our table. I approached the counter to pay for our drinks to be told it wasn't necessary. Needless to say we ended up at ihop with seamless service from beginning to end. Raisin bread and home fries. Hubby got chicken and waffles. Waffles were fluffy and chicken was cooked perfectly. He also got the corn beef hash ordered extra crispy, it was exceptional, and not from a can, (biggest pet peeve). cut just right. Hot coffee and tea that was not stale. So hopeful based on menu and other reviews. Found a piece of plastic in my omelette after the fourth bite and it wasn't a little piece. It was about 2"x 3/4"!. Waitress seemed uncharted, did apologize, and asked if I wanted something else. Had to ask for another napkin and fork to eat my grilled muffin as attempt 2. When original plate brought over, two pieces of toast fell on the table when she put the plate down. She asked if I wanted more toast, but again, seemed unphased. I visited this restaurant today 8/5/25 at 11 am. I am African American, as soon as I walked in, I was not greeted. That's fine, wanted take out, I placed my order, patiently waited to pay. I sat at a table closest to the door, a party of 3 came in, and was directed to the table I was sitting at. The waitress didn't address me, nor apologized for basically forcing me out of my seat. Pancakes are about one inch thick and cover a dinner plate. No exaggeration. Ours were plain but the options seemed endless! One of us has a smaller appetite so the kid's breakfast was more than enough. One egg, pancake or toast, and breakfast meat. We up-charged to kielbasa and were richly rewarded. The kielbasa was perfectly seasoned, had a great snap to the skin, and was more than big enough for the kid's breakfast. The other, with a heartier appetite, had plain pancakes and kielbasa. The pancakes were anything but plain. They were fluffy, perfectly cooked and soooo flavorful; and huge, as mentioned above. Note: Kristin's is cash only. My fridge ran so empty a college student would take a look inside and cry. Technically I do have ramen, but I am of the age now when Ramen for breakfast would be a bad idea. Since I had a day off and decided to venture out for breakfast. Passed this place a couple times; and decided to give it a try. I was feeling French Toast, and was recommended the Coffee Cake French Toast. I had my hopes set pretty high of the deliciousness scale, but found myself very disappointed. Rather than being something gently crisp on the outside and gooey on the inside, this was like a recipe from a children's video game. It appeared as though one side of a rather large slab of coffee cake was dipped into an egg mix, and then griddled on both sides. Furthermore, it was very fry on the inside, dryer even then I remember regular coffee cake being. The little crumblies also didn't remind me of a coffee cake too much. I will give them credit for having good service! I'm hoping this was a one-off, a bad dish, or a bad day in the kitchen. I will give them a second chance at some point, I'll just steer clear of the coffee cake french toast. read more

What a delicious breakfast. This was planned as a stop halfway between points so not sure we would have found it otherwise but so glad we did. Bring your appetite is all I can say cause we ordered the specialty pancakes and it came with three the size of a platter, YUM. I got caramel pecan and my husband apple cinnamon and both great. They even had almond milk for my coffee. It's such an unassuming little place but definitely worth a stop when you want delicious pancakes. Have come here a couple of times throughout the years and always have liked it. Convenient location, food is good. But today, my friend and I went in for breakfast and received a terrible attitude from a waitress. While I understand that weekend mornings at a breakfast place can be busy, I also know that my friend (who had her month old baby with her) needed to go to pick up her husband and daughter at the airport after our meal. Whe we got there, we had plenty of time to sit, chat and eat before their flight got in, but as time went on, we realized it had been 45 minutes with no update of when our food would be out. When I kindly spoke up to ask our waitress if she knew how much longer she thought it would be (with a smile I might add), and tried to explain my friend needed to head out soon and I was going to ask about to-go boxes, she cut me off with an attitude and told me it was a Sunday and the kitchen will beep her when it's ready. She came back 5 minutes later with the food and all she said was "I'll get you the check" and dropped our plates. She then came back a minute later and dropped the check without even looking at us and stormed away. We were both so taken back and appalled that someone would treat their customers this way, especially when they are expecting a tip from us. We still gave 20% because it's the right thing to do, but I honestly didn't want to leave her anything. That put such a bad taste in my mouth and I'm not sure when I will return. read more

Went to Kristin's for the first time this past Monday and I was very impressed. They are most known for their variety of pancakes, so I got the raspberry cheesecake pancake and my friend ordered the Boston cream pie pancake. They were delicious and the portions were massive!
