Breakfast is always a tough one for me. If I'm to have it stroke, I ever know what to have, if I eat out, I pay $10 for coffee eggs and bacon worth $1. Still, I wasn't feeling making my own breakfast, and was sold on their breakfast burger. While I applaud them for making something different, the burger was a miss (and a mess) for me. First, the home fries did not hit the spot. While not raw inside, they were underdone for my taste. They lacked any kind of crisp exterior, and were severely under-seasoned. Adding some S&P helps, but only so much. Then there's the breakfast burger. It looked promising, but had turned into a fork and knife affair very quickly. The liquid from the egg, meat, and aioli, combined with a haphazardly shaped patty, turned what was supposed to be a burger into a soggy burger salad, sans vegetables (other than pickles). The patty itself had just a little salt, but otherwise was also under-seasoned and lax on flavor. The aioli did offer some redemption, but the burger having fallen apart, it was too little too late. Overall, as a matter of preference, I like some freshness in burgers, and the pickles offered some, but also not enough in the grand scheme of things. Quick note here: I wasn't asked how I'd like the patty cooked, and it came out medium-rare/medium. Something to be aware of if you prefer your burgers well-done. The location is clean, and seems like a local dive, and the service is nice and fast. read more

Great Little Restaurant With The Hometown Touch We were pleasantly surprised by the quality and taste of the food here. Large portions with a definite homemade flavor. Corned beef hash was real corned beef and potatoes OMG it was so good. Bacon was crisp and flavorful. Home fries were amazingly tasty and not greasy. Atmosphere was welcoming but not intrusive. Debbie the young waitress was so sweet and she made me an iced coffee on request which was great. Owner on site asked how everything was several times. This place is easy to pass by on busy Bridge Street, however if you do so you are missing out on a great little restaurant. Free parking in body shop parking lot just a few feet away. We highly recommend this place for breakfast or lunch. We will be returning soon. Second review August 19th 2023. Returned for brunch today. Best tasting cheeseburger ever and the fries were thin, hand cut and well done but not greasy, excellent. Staff and owner friendly as usual. Recently they started staying open Wednesday and Thursday from 2 pm to 7 pm to sell home made tacos made by Eduardo from Mexico. You get 3 huge tacos for around $10.00 a fantastic deal. I have driven by this place a million times. I recently stopped by and tried breakfast! And, man was I happy. It was very good. I wouldn't say it was incredible like best breakfast every but it was extremely tasty. It is worth a visit, I know I will be back. Decided to try a new breakfast spot with Hubs & the wee one - SO glad we did! Service was excellent but the food execution is what shines here. The French toast is fire - made from cinnamon bread with a vanilla buttercream drizzle, it tastes just like cinnamon buns! Over easy eggs cooked perfectly, homefries crispy outside & fluffy inside, bacon not singed to a crumbly mess, sausages grilled & juicy - every part of breakfast was executed perfectly. The Belgian waffle has a lovely delicate flavor with the perfect blend of crunch & cake. Overall extremely pleased and looking forward to going back! I stopped in for a quick breakfast and was pleasantly surprised. The space is under new ownership as of this fall, and so the menu and decor is completely new. It is a traditional breakfast place with an Irish flair. I had the homemade hash, which was delicious, and a pot of Barry's black tea. Our waitress was extremely friendly and helpful and the owner took the time to visit our table and make sure we enjoyed our meals. I would absolutely go again. read more

I've made it clear to all of my readers, that any place with hashbrowns will be a favorite of mine because it's an endangered species on American breakfast menus. Hashbrowns was not on their menu, but home fries was. These home fries were basically diced up potatoes deep-fried with no seasoning no salt nothing. They were absolutely awful. I really like the set up of this location. The atmosphere is very cute and welcoming. The service was very friendly and pretty quick. Hot chocolate was great, and the pancakes are a great size. The taste was good but nothing i would go crazy over. My friends omelette was unusually small, im not sure if it was because it was egg whites and they just dont use extra eggs to make sure its the same size or if that is the portion you normally get. Been dying to try this place since I always see it while driving by and finally the chance today. Clean, simple, friendly, and fast service which is exactly what I was looking for. The food wasn't anything special but delicious nonetheless. I only got breakfast so what can be special about that anyway? Prices are on point for everything you get. I'd recommend to everyone not looking to be blown away but just wants a quick bite to eat. There's also a tv and Who Wants to be a Millionaire was on so that was a plus. Very small and cozy. The old faux wood paneling and carpeting are a little off-putting. It seems like it was a residential space at one time that's been turned into a little breakfast spot. Those observations aside...they make a pretty good breakfast. I had "Amanda's Special" featuring two eggs, corned beef hash, home fries and buttered toast. JT had "Eva's Special" with eggs, bacon, sausage, home fries, toast and pancakes. Both meals were really good. I was very satisfied with the meal. The pancakes are great (and about the size of a dinner plate), but the syrup isn't real maple syrup so that's a miss. There may be an option to request real maple syrup but I didn't see it or ask. Bottomless coffee. Not half bad. One server for the counter and the dining room (it's a small space - she didn't seem over-burdened at all). Really good breakfast at a low price. I got a meat omelette with cheese, homefries and raisin toast. Coffee was great and meal was great. The front-end is very clean. No stickies any where, even the menu, syrup and ketchup containers. Owner is very friendly and proud of her business. All 5 stars until I used the bathroom before leaving. Not good at all. Dirty, antiquated & tiny. Must barely meet code. Parking is also difficult, no parking lot or in front of resteraunt. I would definitely go back for the food. If I can avoid the bathroom, I'll bring my own handwipes. read more

The small "kitchen" atmosphere of the store is nice, they have a little TV with the news on usually and some newspapers hanging around. But there is practically no wait staff...I almost feel like I should get up and get my own drink. The food and drink is the same things you get at home in 10 minutes. They pour juice strait from the troppicanna jug (not that there is anything wrong with that really) and the pancakes seem almost like they are from a pre-made pancake mix. If you are lazy and dont like to make breakfast, and dont want to spend alot...this place is where you should go. But if you want some stellar type of breakfast joint... look elsewhere. read more
