My favorite meal is and always has been breakfast. There's nothing better than a greasy spoon joint. Easter's is one of my favorite local breakfast places around the South Shore of Massachusetts. We hadn't been to Easter's in Weymouth in quite a while and were pleasantly surprised. The space is brighter and cleaner while still maintaining that hometown breakfast spot vibe. Portions are generous and prices are reasonable. My omelet was cooked exactly as requested, as were the bacon and eggs. The home fries were just okay. I got a 3 egg (scrambled), 3 strips of bacon, home fries, and whole wheat buttered toast. Also a side of grits with whipped butter. For a drink I got iced coffee. The eggs were ok. 5/10 The bacon's flavor was just ok, not actually crispy though. 4/10 The home fries werent' crispy. Just warm potato cubes. 3/10 The toast came out burnt and I asked for it to be replaced. The replacement was warm bread. I wasn't going to ask for a second replacement. 3/10 The grits were instant grits. Better than the regular instant grits, but obviously nowhere as good as fully boiled grits. 4/10 The iced coffee was strong and smooth. 10/10. Service was super friendly and quick! 10/10 The bathroom is very tiny and the soap dispenser doesn't work. They added a pump soap bottle on the sink. When I pushed the pump water came out. The soap had been finished and they refilled it with water. 0/10 Won't be back tbh. read more

Mehh. Just an average breakfast place. Nothing too bad and nothing too great about it. I ordered the "two step" breakfast which came with eggs (I ordered over easy), pancakes and sausage. Then I ordered a side of toast since it did not come with any. It also did not come with any home fries which I found odd and surprising. Everything about my meal was just average. I've had better and worse eggs, pancakes, sausage and toast. My husband got the farmer's omelette (peppers & onions) which was a large portion size and did come with home fries and toast. Overall I think this place is fine if you're in a pinch and hungry but nothing worth waiting for if it's a busy day. There are better options in the area. read more

I think most towns have a place like this. They don't necessarily make stuff you can't make yourself when you're feeling a little bit lazy this is the kind of place that will lend a helping hand. Usually, these places have solid food, solid coffee, a local crowd, and reasonable prices I've been living within spitting distance of this place for almost 9 months, I finally decided to bring my lazy rear end here. Now, a lot of reviewers are saying is that the prices here are quite steep. This, in my opinion, is only partially true. Take a place like The Mad Hatter, the prices are at least within the same ballpark, but consider what you get: One portion is enough to feed a family of bears before they go into hibernation. Here, a plate of the same stuff is enough to hold you until lunch (maybe a late lunch but not dinner). Case in point: I had asked for some home fries with my sandwich, usually a place like this would pile on a couple kilos of the stuff. Here I got a tablespoon or two. I'm not advocating for humongous portions, I am advocating for value, setting my baseline at the level other similar places. Many people are also saying that this location is somewhat outdated or dirty.  I haven't been here before, but it seems that they put some effort into making it cleaner and a little more modern. However, I have to say that the choice of colors and design doesn't really go with a place like this. It goes well with a trendy new restaurant downtown, but not here. But, I'm no interior designer or architect so who am I to say. In terms of the food, I had the Easter's Mac, which was your basic bacon egg and cheese.  the egg was cooked perfectly, it was sooo smooth.  the bacon I knew it was there because I saw it, but it was a slice or two and didn't add a whole lot to the overall meal. Ditto for the cheese. Now if you had gone to The Mad Hatter, you would have gotten more bacon when you have seen in your dreams,  maybe even too much but that's kind of the point, is it not? Finally, the service was a mixed bag. It was wicked quick and polite, which was nice. However, where I was sitting in the far corner of the restaurant it felt I was almost not even there. After I had ordered, and I already knew what I had wanted, I was kind of forgotten about (this may be a slight exaggeration, but only slight). Since I already knew what I wanted, they had taken my order and then left me be after it was all done. No one came by to ask if I wanted more coffee or anything else. it took some gentle flagging down for me to pay my bill, but that was processed fairly quickly. I will also give them bonus points for offering to get me some more coffee to go. After all is said and done, it's a solid place with solid food and solid coffee, however, considering I can get more and slightly better elsewhere, I rather make the very short drive to that elsewhere. read more

First off, the website on here is not their website,they don't even have a website. I found this place to be very cute and homey. The have old signs around and signed pictures of older iconic people. It feels like him sitting in my own kitchen. I got the broccoli and cheese omelette and a side of pancakes. The omelette was very fluffy and filled perfectly. The pancake was also fluffy and lots of butter which is how I like it. My friend got the Irish Benedict (corned beef hash) and the eggs were cooked to perfection. We are big Benedict people and I don't think I've had a better one. They came with home fries which come with onions so beware if you don't like onions! Staff was polite and attentive. Just wish the price was a dollar or so cheaper for everything considering it's supposed to be $ I would say yelp needs to change this one to $$ Overall this place was great and we will be back again. read more

Easter's breakfast is great! We had such a great experience and would go back soon. I love how they are doing the best to help support and advertise for the local businesses in a way that helps everyone. Omelets and bacon was just how we like it and we ordered the fruity pebble French toast that was a nostalgic purchase and well worth it. Device was great and staff was friendly and on top of everything we needed. We understand that staffing is hard to come by while unemployment is still available, but that wasn't the case. I am not one to post many reviews but I felt I needed to for this order. I had ordered as a delivery (thru a third party app). I ordered the Cinnamon Roll French Toast. It was absolutely amazing! My only regret is that I did not take a picture as it was aesthetically pleasing. It was freshly made, the icing wasn't to sweet (I had added some syrup too). Really more like 4.5 stars, taking off half a star for service that can be slow since I know that can be an issue for some. Definitely not somewhere to eat if you're in a big rush- though I think the relaxed homey atmosphere adds to Easter's charm. It seems the waitstaff is on friendly terms with many customers and, if you are willing to make your needs known, are very accommodating. Now for the food! My boyfriend and I have been here twice so far to order breakfast and I've been sticking with the two egg hash and cheese omelette. These omelettes have been the fluffiest omelettes I've ever eaten, and filled perfectly. I highly suggest getting a griddled English muffin as your side. My boyfriend has been exploring their French toast options with great success. I'm not one for sweet breakfast foods but even I love the bites I've had of his dishes. I expected so much more from a place with "country kitchen" in its name. My poached eggs also arrived rather... soupy. My fault, I probably could have warned them to give it an extra minute or two in the water. Pancakes & home fries were okay. Here was the clincher, though: my sister orders an omelet. The waitress asks "large or small?" My sister, who herself is small and a poor recent college grad, decides on small... only to find out when the check comes later that both the large and the small are priced exactly the same. If she was going to get charged $9 either way, I'll bet she would have appreciated some breakfast leftovers. Even though I was starving and in dire need of coffee when I arrived, I left feeling only partially sated. My longtime friend, however, swears by this place. A sinking ship. I've been her for breakfast maybe 6 times over the past few years if I happen to be near there at that time of day. It definitely has slipped, and gotten worse over time. The last time I was there it was for lunch, and the choices were incredibly limited on the menu. I had more lunch options in my house. I would like to tell you about what I ate there, but it was so forgettable that I really forgot what we had. We walked out the door asking each other what we ever saw in this place. Maybe they should just close before noon and stick to breakfast only. I'd give them 1 and 1/2 stars, but you can't do that on Yelp. To their credit, I will say that the breakfasts I've had there were OK, but not great by any means. They serve big portions, but the quality is only so so. Oh Easter's, how I miss thee. When I used to live in Weymouth, I came here at least once a month for weekend brunch. It wasn't that anything was gourmet. Just the opposite. It's just a local greasy spoon that serves simple all-American stick-to-your-ribs comfort food. The portions were huge and the prices reasonable. One of my favorite items was the Garbage Omelette. It was a huge omelette with literally everything they offered for omelette fixins. I'd rotate among several menu items and specials, but I would order this omelette every third or fourth visit. One weekend I had a friend visit so I took him and his girlfriend here for brunch and of course I had to insist that he order this omelette. Halfway through eating it, he stops the waitress to ask her how many eggs were in the omelette. Our jaws dropped when she told us there were eight eggs. EIGHT FREAKIN' EGGS! We just stared at each other in shock. On hearing that he couldn't take another bite. He lost the will to eat. I, on the other hand, took it like a man on borrowed time and finished mine. Cute little place, pretty small and there's usually a wait but turnover is pretty quick. Coffee comes out as soon as you're seated and it's a bottomless cup. I was a little disappointed in the hash, but I asked for a single pancake after I cleaned my plate and got it almost immediately. My friend and I met here for breakfast yesterday and I had a good experience. She'd been there many times before, but this was my first visit. I'm a huge fan of French Toast (The Friendly Toast in Cambridge has my favorite) and Easter's didn't disappoint. Not 5-star quality but very, very good for a small, local diner. My biggest cheer is that we sat at a booth for THREE HOURS and not once did the waitress give us a hard time! She came back to offer us more water so we could keep chatting and I never got a dirty look. She even laughed and said, "What? Have you girls not seen each other in over a week?" (I'm 35 and my friend is 60! So the "girls" part was cute. And we actually haven't been in the same country for over 8 months.) Good portions for reasonable prices combined with friendly service! Been here many times over the years. Definitely a country atmosphere with memorabilia of country music stars of yesteryear on the wall, along with Elvis commemorative plates. The breakfast is on par, for the most part. Service is good and they seem quick to keep a cup of coffee full. This seems to be one of the few places in the area to find grits on the menu, although personally I'm not a big fan of grits. How are there not more reviews about Easter's??? This is the best breakfast place in Weymouth, hands down. Huge portions, great staff, and good, comforting breakfast food. On weekends they ONLY serve breakfast, until about 2 or 3 in the afternoon, and you can easily expect a 30-45 minute wait, especially after mass gets out on Sunday. But it is soooo very worth it. Tiny little place with booth, tables, and a little counter, but with SUCH character! The same waitresses have worked there as long as I have been going, and they are attentive, keep your coffee mug full, and aren't afraid to tell you like it is. You almost always run into someone here that you know, especially on weekends. As far as the food goes, there is NOTHING bad here. The biscuits and gravy are amazing, and you can't find those around here very often. Any of the omelettes are delish, although I am disturbed by the review that said they are made of 8 eggs... yikes! The full stack of pancakes is a massive challenge of sweet, buttery goodness. And the marble rye toast - something so simple but so scrumptious. You need to go. It's like somebody dropped a Colorado truck-strop next to Massachusetts Bay. We arrived late on a Sunday morning, during peak breakfast hours. I was extremely hung-over and not in the best mood. We had an odd number of people and the place was packed, but we were seated promptly and without any fuss. Some members of our party had food allergies, and we were happily accommodated. Our waitress was good-humored and extremely friendly. Everybody's food was incredible. I ordered biscuits and gravy, a dish near and dear to my heart. The gravy-to-biscuit ratio was tilted heavily toward the gravy - a common mistake, but easily remedied (just don't eat all the gravy!). The pancakes were amazing, and probably the best item on our table. The omelets were enormous. My wife ordered eggs over easy, and they came slightly undercooked - but other than that, we had no complaints. The interior decor was very kitschy: the walls were covered with bad headshots of country-and-western singers from the '80s, many of which were autographed. I'm not sure if this is meant to lend authenticity to Easter's Country Kitchen, but if so, they don't need it. If you're in eastern Massachusetts and want a solid breakfast reminiscent of a Midwestern truck-stop, this will be your first and last stop. read more

Tried Easter's this weekend for a Sunday Brunch and left a happy and full camper. We arrived around 1 PM (they close at 2PM) and sat down right away - Our order was taken and the coffee cups were kept full. We ordered the 2 Egg special (2 eggs, 2 french toast & a slice of ham) and the Country Breakfast (2 eggs, grits, 1 biscuits and gravy) and then a side of corn beef hash and home fries. Don't judge, we were doing renovation work! Everything came out fast and hot the biscuit with gravy was the best - the gravy was thick and creamy with just the right amount of pepper and the biscuit held its own. Next best thing was the french toast - they have 3 types, plain Texas style, Cinnamon, and raisin. NUM NUM NUM so buttery and yummy - you could tell the batter had some sugar in it as it was sweet and delicious, and cooked just right (not to soggy, not to toasted) Their definition of 2 eggs is really more like 3-4, the corn beef hash is canned, and the home fries are good -l about the size of a quarter and smaller chopped - there wasn't any crunch to them, but they were tasty all the same. The staff is great, they call you sweetie, and have strong personalities that are perfect for a small dinner - I would go back just to watch them banter with the locals - great vibe, simple no frills food, good prices. So we finished eating and walked out at 2PM, went about our day working on the house and running errands - stayed full until 9PM that night - The food sticks for sure.
