We have been to First Watch in Hanover Crossing about three times and have been very satisfied with the quality of food and the quality of the service. Right now they have pumpkin donut holes and they are very good and come warmed with a nice cinnamon sugar coating. Last time we were there I had the eggs Benedict and it was very good and I had a side of breakfast potatoes. I would recommend this place. I have not been disappointed. read more

Just had a (quite) late breakfast at FIRST WATCH in Hanover MA. This charming place serves breakfast and lunch all day. They do not serve dinners. Since my favorite meal, as you may know by now, if you've been reading my reviews breakfast, then the idea that I can get breakfast all day here it's just another very attractive feature of this restaurant! I had a delicious fresh waffle with berry compote and blueberries and strawberries topped with whipped cream. It is served with what they call a house syrup, which is essentially a maple syrup wannabe. They offer the option of real maple syrup for an additional charge. I opted for the authentic item. The waffle was delicious flavorful and made even better because of the true maple syrup! The up charge was $1.75. I also had a very spicy bloody Mary, which is my favorite breakfast cocktail. It was served with a strip of crispy, maple bacon and was quite delicious. This place is not cheap, but nothing is inexpensive these days. The total meal cost $28.41 plus a 20% tip. I we'll go there again. I will try something from their lunch menu the next time and will of course review for all who read my reviews. read more

First timer to First watch. I'd heard so much about this place, I was excited to try it. It's open and cute inside. The restroom was clean. I'm giving it 4 stars for my personal experience, though my friend would probably shoot for 3 stars. I started with a newly released juice--very ginger-forward and delicious. Have them make it with light ice. I ordered the banana pancake with granola crunch and a side of Millions Dollar Bacon. I was thoroughly delighted by my choices. That bacon is soooooooo good. My friend ordered a grilled pumpkin muffin and a side of fresh fruit, which is where the disappointment was. The fruit was mostly grapes and some strawberries that had clearly gone past their point of freshness. Our waitress, Molly, confirmed fruit is prepped each morning, but it certainly looked over ripe and slimy. Molly graciously removed the item from our bill. One other small issue is that the artificial coffee creamers sit on each table, but you have to ask for real cream. I don't drink coffee, but I know this is important to those that do! BEWARE! They are running a SCAM at this restaurant. Do Not pay using credit card. Plan on only using cash to pay if you go to this restaurant. On 8/29/26, a manager forced me to pay for the food eaten at someone else's table PLUS my food. They screwed up by giving me a check, which I paid with tip, after which they told me they'd given me the wrong check so I also had to pay the correct check. They claimed they couldn't give me a refund for the other table's food right away since I used a card and would have to wait 4 days. After 3 weeks awaiting a refund that never came, I finally spoke to Michael Barone in Hanover, and Hannah in Corporate who claimed I'd receive a refund by yesterday. It was never received. This is theft! I'm forced to make a police report now. I've heard one lie after the other from 3 different FW employees. Do yourself and your wallet a favor and do Not eat here! read more

Yum! A delicious and cute breakfast restaurant. I said to my husband it feels like I'm on vacation eating breakfast down south somewhere, and low & behold, I discovered this chain originated in Florida! Anyways, the menu is full of "elevated" breakfast items. I ordered the biscuits & gravy with eggs over-easy. It was delicious! I think the biscuit could have been better but the gravy, eggs and potatoes were great! My husband ordered the "trifecta" with a waffle and a side of biscuits & gravy. He licked his plate clean. This place has become a family staple and we eat here probably once a week. I love their iced coffee and I love their food even more. Cute bar where you can turn your morning beverage into a cocktail. Also an outdoor eating area for nice days and a large, modern dining room, plenty of booths and seats. Did not realize what this establishment was initially, as the name threw me off, but once we knew it was a breakfast/lunch restaurant, we haven't stopped coming here! Service is wonderful, as well! This is the 1st location in Mass. I've been to one in AZ and was very excited when they opened one here. 1st, you have to join the waitlist online. This is the best thing ever. We live about 40 minutes away, and we got there just in time. It was busy as you can imagine on a Saturday brunch. We started with the bacon cornbread. SO GOOD!! I ordered the breakfast tacos and 1 pancake. Both great, added a little hot sauce for the tacos!! My wife ordered the avocado toast. She thought it was just ok, time for her to try something new!! I have to say, I have never seen anything like what I witnessed at the new First Watch in South Attleboro. From what I personally observed, employees were working more than 9-hour shifts without receiving breaks, and I watched staff being spoken to in a way that I felt was disrespectful and demeaning in front of their coworkers. I also witnessed an employee leave in tears after being criticized for needing to leave at the end of her scheduled shift. Based on what I saw, management appeared to be aware of what was happening. No business is so busy that employees shouldn't be treated with dignity and respect. As for the food, it wasn't for me. It seemed heavily focused on avocado, much of it tasted premade, and I didn't enjoy the meal. My experience left me disappointed, and I won't be returning. I hope the company takes a serious look at how employees are being treated because everyone deserves to be treated with respect. read more

The service was great. You can put your name on the waitlist ahead of time which is nice since they don't take reservations. They do have gluten free bread and it's okay. The tres leches french toast isn't milky at all. It mostly just has a strawberry compote on top is all. Similarly the carrot cake pancake has just a few pieces of carrot in it and tastes basic. I got an excited call from a friend on Wednesday wanting to try First Watch on Thursday. when she read the menu to me, I already knew what we were going to order. We ventured down, braving the unusual traffic for.a Thursday, to try it out. The atmosphere was good. It was a little loud and cramped but they had a few cute details like the colourful menu boards and menus that look like newspapers. We were served impeccably by our server, Sarah. She was attentive and responsive to our needs. She remained calm and present when we encountered some hiccups during our dining experience. The blueberry lemon cornbread was really tasty. I just found myself wishing for a bit more lemon. A little lemon zest in the batter, lemon-infused butter or compote on the side could've really taken it to the next level. Still, the overall flavor was solid. I left inspired to develop a recipe of my own. The million-dollar bacon had great flavor too, but it really needed to be crispier to live up to its name. Unfortunately, things took a turn when our entrées arrived. My grits looked more like corn mash than actual grits. There's a big difference, grits should be smooth and creamy, but this was thick, dry, flavourless and hard to eat. The shrimp and sausage were well-seasoned and nicely cooked, but the texture of the grits really ruined the dish for me. I sent it back, hoping for better, and while the second version was slightly improved, it came back oily and even more bland. The shrimp and sausage were still fine, but now they were topped with burned onions. I honestly don't know how that made it past the kitchen. I couldn't help but wonder who's checking the plates before they go out. Why was there such inconsistency?! My friend had the Works omelette, and it started off well, but was also full of burned onions. At that point, we were just disappointed. Our server, Sarah, was kind and did her best, she let the manager know, and my friend received a gift card since most of her meal was left untouched. But when the bill came, we were still charged for it, which didn't sit right. They eventually took it off, but it was frustrating that the manager never came by the table, and that there didn't seem to be a standard practice for handling clearly flawed dishes. Great hollandaise sauce. I had it on the smoked salmon Benedict. Blueberry lemonade corn bread was pretty good. My sister got a half sandwich with salad that was enormous . I tried the salad. There were signs advertising this item on the menu, on the table and on the chalkboard. We were told the item was no longer available. We then placed our orders. Two of the three orders had breakfast potatoes that were so salty and burnt. Not edible. The server asked if she could replace them but then said it would be 15-20 minutes. We were almost done at this point. It wasn't crowded so there was no excuse for the service being delayed. This is the second time I've been here and been disappointed. Went to First Watch for the first time this morning. I had the chicichanga, and my husband had the biscuits and gravy. We also shared the blueberry lemon cornbread. The blueberry lemon cornbread was very good especially with the whipped butter. I had a mint chocolate iced coffee that was not very good. It tasted mainly of whole milk and mint. I didn't taste any coffee or chocolate. The chicichanga was okay at best. It was a bit spicy a which is fine but no other flavors stood out. My husband ordered his meal with scrambled eggs but there was very little eggs that I could see. The hostess was nice and sat us right away. The waitress was fine, nothing to note there. We ate inside at a small table. The place was clean and organized. They had a bar ... not sure that's necessary for a brunch spot. Was looking for a nice new place for brunch and my friend suggested we try First Watch. It did not disappoint! It was so delicious! Service was good too nothing extraordinary, but the server was nice and friendly. We waited for a few minutes to get seated. While waiting they also have a coffee station where you could make yourself a small cup of coffee which I thought was very nice! We ordered: Purple Haze and Pineapple Express for our drinks and both were so refreshing. Then for food we got: SoCal bfast hash and Wild Berry lavender ft both were very very delicious. This place is always packed, so do yourself a favor--hop on the online queue before you roll up! I've been to quite a few locations in the south, specifically in Florida and as a New Englander I'm stokedd that there's one local now. Happy to say- my time at this location was fabulous. Unfortunately there was a reoccurring problem with the food at the table next to us so there was a lot of visits from the staff there, but my family and I had no problem. Not the best. Tried it out a several months ago with a friend when it was brand new. It came into the area came in hot with a lot of hype and we wanted to check it out. We each tried one of their breakfast dishes that they're known for (he got a fancy breakfast hash and I got a breakfast protein bowl) and both were very bland. After a few months however, I had an open morning and was in Hanover so decided to give it another try. Busy as usual (I drive past it regularly), so that was encouraging. The service was great, but the food was again very mediocre. Even the tables around me commented saying similar things to one another. I got the smoke salmon Benedict which is a favorite of mine at most places. The egg yolks were cooked rock hard, the hollandaise was flavorless and it was on a rock hard ciabatta instead of a croissant, English or even a bagel. Very disappointing and considering the price, there are several other options within a few minutes that are far superior. 2.5 stars. read more

We love the First Watch! We love the fresh pot of coffee they give you at your table to keep the hot coffee coming. I got the French Toast this time with the fresh maple syrup. The warm mixed berry compote is served on the side and it is absolutely delicious! My husband got the Farmhouse Hash with a single blueberry pancake the size of the plate. Our waitress name was Jaleyn and she is the best! She was so nice and very attentive to check in and make sure we had everything we need. The coffee options are great and the in-house lattes are excellent. The juices were great! One of the biggest hits was the million dollar bacon - it was a favorite for the whole family. The pancake was huge and the accompaniments were tasty. The chimichanga would be Deadpool approved. Great kids menu that also had a wide range of choices. The service was wonderful and really friendly and very attentive. The restaurant was designed very well and the new space looks great! This is our new favorite breakfast spot! read more

We've been here twice now. First time we just dropped in and yesterday we utilized the waitlist. Both times worked out just fine. They have a seasonal menu that changes several time a year, and they make updates to their regular menu. Both times we got one dish from seasonal, one from regular. 1. Coffee is EXCELLENT and they leave a carafe of it at your table. (and are willing to refill that!) 2. Servers are cheerful and knowledgeable. Food came out SUPER quick this time (the first time was more than reasonable.) 3. What I love most is the food is turned on it's side - just a little bit. It's a "little" different than what you see everywhere - without feeling like you have to wade slowly into your choices. It was our first time visiting this restaurant and we went on a Sunday but only had to wait about 15 minutes for a table. We did add our name to the waitlist before arriving and I'd suggest that. The place was cute, clean and had a farmhouse feel. The server was really quick and extremely attentive. Great service all around. The reason for the 3 star review was the food was like any other chain breakfast restaurant food. I was expecting it to be a little more elevated but it really wasn't. I ordered the biscuits and gravy. The gravy I'm sure came from a bucket or something, didn't seem homemade and it was a jelly like consistency. The home potatoes were overly salty, it made them hard to eat. My wife ordered the eggs Benedict and one of her poached eggs ended up being a medium cooked egg. And lastly my son ordered the French toast and he devoured it. It came with a berry compote that was delicious. I'd go back, I would order something different and give it another shot. Maybe I'll order that French toast next time. It was expensive. The Up charge for cheese on the eggs was 1.50. Seems like a lot but I guess everything is expensive these days. For 3 of us it cost us $90 including tip and coffee and juices. No alcoholic drinks. For what it was, I felt like it was overpriced. read more
