Had a dinner out with some coworkers. The waitress was attentive to making sure water glasses were always filled. We got drinks and bottles of wine for the table. The appetizers we got a Mediterranean plate which was really good. We got pretzels which my coworker liked and said the beer cheese was good that came with it. Then got the tuna nachos and the chips were like crab rangoon wontons. I got short ribs for dinner were really good wish there was alittle more of sauce on it. Tasted alil dry for me personally. Abby Park is a lively, neighborhood spot for classic American dining with a group of friends. The menu has lots of options that will work for anyone. Ambience is more sports bar than high end with TVs everywhere and music going The garlic knots are a solid starter. The lamb burger I had was well cooked and juicy though I would have preferred a bit more seasoning. My wife's chicken piccata was quite tasty and the portion size was huge. The only thing I would call out is prices are on the higher side but portions are large enough for the bigger entrees where you can get leftovers for the next day so I suppose it evens out to two meals for anyone who is price sensitive. read more

Went to Abbey Park during Dine Out Boston. Menu of prim Fixe Items was fine--not a whole lot but everything looked great. There were 2 options for appetizers, 2 for dessert and 3 for entrees. We tried them all and they couldn't be better-looked lovely on the plate and delicious. I had the filet mignonette, something I don't normally choose but wow, it melted in my mouth and was prepared to my liking, medium rare. My husband ordered the chicken piccata and our friends ordered the salmon. All delicious. Our waitress CeCe was fun, laughed at our jokes and was very efficient. Dessert was creme brûlée or ice cream/sherbet. Ambience left a lot to be desired. Too many TV screens and they started playing some sort of Trivia Night. Way too loud and we didn't expect that sort of thing. Would I go there again? Possibly. It wasn't close to our home so I would probably choose to go to another restaurant that had good food like Abby Park but more of an ambiance. read more

I live in this town and Vance, (Owner and Manager) I have known for years. I love this local place and have never been disappointed. It is a local spot for many from this area and you can always meet a friendly neighbor to catch up with. The food here is fresh and very well prepared. I love their risotto and it comes in a variety of flavors. I am a fan of their pan fried scallops and have them often. Their salads are always interesting and slightly different than the usual. Ordered delivery. Got a cheese pan pizza which is supposed to be bar style. Probably the worst "bar" pizza ever. It was doughy, no crisp to the crust at all. The "sauce" was nothing but crushed tomatoes and slices of onion and basil. cheese was a thick, congealed layer with no taste. However the kids chicken fingers and fries were decent. although I'd suggest a different take out container because the fries were soggy from the steam and condensation in that one. read more

Disappointing Experience - Not Worth the Hype We had heard good things about this restaurant and were excited to finally try it when we happened to be in the area. The place was packed, which gave us high hopes, and the atmosphere seemed lively when we walked in. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to expectations. The restaurant is supposedly known for American comfort food, so we assumed that a burger, mashed potatoes, and steak au poivre would be something they should know how to make well. Instead, we had one of the worst burgers we've ever had--overcooked to the point of being dry, hard, and flavorless. The steak was clearly just a bad cut of meat--tough, chewy, and impossible to pierce with a fork. Despite its size, it was unpleasant to eat, and when we cut into it, it was actually more on the medium-rare side. The mashed potatoes tasted like they came from a box, and the Brussels sprouts had no flavor. Our waitress seemed like a nice kid, but she wasn't equipped to handle concerns. When we mentioned that the burger was completely overcooked, she seemed unsure of how to respond, so we didn't push the issue further and just wanted to get out of there. On the way out, we asked a staff member what they considered to be the best meal on the menu. Their answer? The mac and cheese. Not exactly what you'd hope to hear as the number 1 item-just another disappointing moment in an overall underwhelming experience. Safe to say we won't be returning. read more

I couldn't get a reservation for a Tuesday at the sister restaurant Novara and decided to come here instead. The atmosphere was pretty laid back. Our waitress was cheerful and lovely. For appetizer, we ordered the following: Burrata--bread was super hard, you might actually break a tooth. Burrata was a bit on the colder end. Taste meh, nothing special. Shrimp & Calamari--This one was decent, calamari although fried was soft. This is different from other calamari I've had in many other restaurants. Crab Cake--kind of bland with the rice under the crab cake. Lobster dip--this is honestly the best appetizer on the menu. It's flavorful, you can taste the lobster. It's yummy. Main course, we had the following: Rib eye w/ scallops--We had it of course, medium rare. They cooked it perfectly. The scallops on the other hand was not impressive at all. I felt like they overlooked it a bit since it was on the tougher side. It also came with mashed potatoes that was probably pan fried cause it was crispy, not impressed. I would prefer regular mashed potatoes with the steak. $34 Seared Scallops-- A bit over cooked and flavorless. Honestly for $36 I had better seared scallops. Would skip. Seafood Fra Diablo--This one was the most flavorful dish. You can taste the tomato marinara and with a little heat. They do give you a good seafood to pasta ratio. There were lobsters, shrimps, and scallops. $36 Summary: Dishes were okay, not impressive at all. Especially with its price point I would expect something better than meh dishes. read more

Came in tonight to the bar with my girlfriend for drinks and apps. We've eaten / drank here in the past, and had great experiences in general, but tonight, we ordered drinks and an app, and were immediately given the bill. We had not expressed that we were only in for 1 round (we would've happily stayed for a couple rounds and ran up the bill) and then leaving, so I'm not sure why the bill was given to us so early. Multiple bartenders came over and picked up the bill to "examine it" to pressure us into paying faster at least 3 times in the 25 minutes that we were at the bar, even though we were about to order another round, which made us want to leave quickly and quietly. The bartenders clearly wanted us out of there as fast as possible, and made us feel bad for even sitting there. We weren't looking for exceptional service on a tuesday night, but this was just annoying. Definitely thinking twice about coming here for a drink in the future, since our business didn't seem to be wanted. My boyfriend got the Mac and cheese with Buffalo chicken with a side of truffle fries and I got the peppercorn encrusted filet. He really enjoyed his food as did I, my steak was cooked perfectly. This area was extremely difficult to find parking during the afternoon when I visited the location. There is street parking available but it is in high demand. This is a small looking corner restaurant but is larger inside possibly due to efficient use of the space. There are booths along the wall, tables in the middle, and the bar at entry. The restroom is downstairs along with a party room and additional seating. The restroom was very clean, no offensive smell. I ordered my dish along with an appetizer. I tried the crab cakes and chicken wings. I was not impressed with the two and thought it was just okay. Good presentation and making it pretty. Our server was great and she was attentive. My choice of entre was the sausage rigatoni. It was different from what I have been accustomed to eating. It was pretty good. I asked my family members about the meals they received and was told they were pretty good. We did get dessert as well. The items selected did not disappoint. The parking in the area is very congested and difficult to find in the early afternoon hours. My family members liked the lower level of activity at this hour. read more

I came here for brunch yesterday. After taking my reservation name, the greeter marched me by every open table in the front to put me in the far back booth. I looked around and noticed that everyone in the front was white and my party was Black. Abby Park chose to hide the only Black people in the restaurant as if this was during segregation. So first off shame on Abby Park for hiring racists. Shame. On. You. Ever the professional eater, I decided to stay at A Racist Park (aka Abby Park) to give a complete review. The waitress we had was nice and attentive so kudos to her. I ordered the mimosa flight which was perfect. The flavors are: pomegranate, apple cider, pear and traditional orange juice. The apple cider and pear were amazing! And it was presented beautifully. For the main course, we ordered the Salmon Benedict and the short rib poutine. The salmon Benedict was good EXCEPT the cook did not make the eggs poached, they were soft boiled. That is gross and tells me they have a very inexperienced chef cooking. The short rib poutine was awful. The meat was far too salty, the eggs were soft boiled (yuck) and don't even get me started on the cheese curds. Disgusting. The plate tasted like salty overload. So if you're looking for racism, with a side of salty cheese curd, A Racist Park is the perfect place for you. You can wash it down with the best thing on the menu... the mimosa flights. read more

We went for the fourth time recently. It's always been dependably good. This time there was a little difficulty understanding our server, and she had trouble on her end as well. That was a little frustrating as my companion wanted to order a coconut cocktail, there wasn't one on the menu, and our server thought my friend wanted a frozen coconut drink, not all at her desire. So she just had water. We know the bar there is great, we just couldn't communicate with the bartender through our server. The bar was quite busy, so we didn't want to disrupt service. We found this place by accident; like literally dropped our location and this was the 3rd option on the list but the 1st one we've never been too and it was so worth it. My friend got the Lamb Risotto which was the special for the week or the night, not entirely sure, with the Black Mamba (alcoholic beverage). The Mamba was tart so I let him keep that for himself but he said the lamb risotto was really good. He's a big foodie so I took his word because I haven't been eating meat since I got back from Philly about a month ago. Me: I got the Goji Vegan with a piece of blackened salmon. The goji vinaigrette that is paired with the meal has an acquired taste which I wasn't a fan of so I didn't eat it. Tbh, I might have to try it without the vinaigrette next time because it's packed with some good veggies. The salmon was cooked to perfection but it had no spice. I also got the Skinny Blood Orange Margarita which was good but the regular margarita was better. We also split the Lobster Dip with Pita which was amazing! I can't wait to have it again! First time long time and cant come up with an excuse for why it took so long to get back in here! Made a same say reservation, and seated immediately (despite us being late). Kids started right away with a pub pizza and chicken fingers and they crushed it. I had French onion soup and my better half the lettuce wraps. Finger licking good (just not sure why I had soup on my fingers). Moved on to dinner and I had the chicken piccata and wifey had a flatbread pizza with steak on it. Piccata came with asparagus and Parmesan risotto. Piccata sauce was a little too something. Oh right, delicious. I included a picture. We had dinner tonight with friends at your establishment . We got seated one table away from this very large table with a few children. The children were screaming at such a high desible throughout dinner.,... We said something to the waitress  but  she blew it off like it was nothing .  The parents werent addressing  the yelling in fact it seemed like they were encouraging it.  A manager should have said something to the lparents but they didbt.  We usually stay for  dessert but we couldn't take another minute of the screaming . My wife and I are visiting from out of town and this place was highly recommended to us for a date night. We are sooooo happy we came!!! From the moment we walked in, the staff was smiling and welcoming. They had a way of making us feel special. They cleared our table in between meals and made it seem effortlessly. We made reservations for Abby Park and it took about 40 extra minutes to get a seat at the bar that we requested but we are ok with waiting. The downside was the second we sat down, without even being given a menu the bartender asked what we wanted. Hold up buddy, can I park my butt in the seat first. Maybe he saw us standing for 40 mins and thought we might know what we wanted. The food was very good and the establishment is quite lovely too. Alot of people in the restaurant were in a large group setting which I was surprised to see that bit they were having fun and well over six feet away from us. Fortunately that's all ending soon.
