Chicken Gyro Plate and Chicken Kebab Plate

A hidden gem. I was craving Mediterranean food and found this on Google. I was greeted warmly, my order taken and fulfilled within minutes. The food was fresh, plentiful and delicious. The chicken was juicy and tender. I just found my favorite place for Chicken gyro and kebabs in Quincy.

Genuinely some of the best food in the area! The menu covers so many different options and they're all so good. They're so nice and family owned. They don't use any seed oils just Albanian olive oil for everything!

Excellent food and people

Great food and equally great people. Will be back. The falafel is excellent as was the lamb.

Ground Beef Taco

Welcoming family owned business. First time coming here and greeting with welcoming people and a diverse menu. The food lived up to the expectations and the hype. Very quiet and relaxing ambiance. Would definitely come back into the restaurant soon for dine in or takeout if I am in the area again. Do not hesitate to come here!

Great food and friendly owners. The lamb is tender and the amount you get in a plate lets you eat leftovers

My MIL is…read morea fantastic cook, and she made a bunch of amazing sides including Dahls, chipates, and bindi. These were meant to be ONLY side dishes. We had also bought jumbo shrimp from Costco, with heads to be the main course. (Her favorite!) This was an issue. Apparently these were disgusting and needed to be cleaned. There were so many shrimp. I'd slept exactly 1 hours the night b4 because my in-laws were jetlagged and wandering around the house and backyard at 3am. I'd also worked a full day. So I suggested take out for the main. It was unpopular, however there was no way I was letting MIL clean shrimp by herself for hours and no way I was spending the next two hours of my life helping her do it after working a full day and sleeping 1 hour. To give my husband credit, he researched this place extensively. We ordered the saag chicken, which was exceptional. It stood up to the other dishes on the table. (I have not ordered from an Indian restaurant in the Boston area that comes close to how good this spot was. My in-laws would have complained about every other spot. They liked this one.) Instead they thought it was great, and they are so difficult to please. Pray for me, tomorrow I gut perfectly lovely jumbo shrimp for their black vein and remove the head. (My husband is the one who bought these and paid extra for the head. He is doing extensive yard work involving a lot of heavy lifting, otherwise he'd be in charge of this job. I will also not be helping him, as was planned so he will suffer) Suffice it to say, 10/10 would recommend. Planning on adding it to my regular rotation. It will be approved by your Indian in-laws. (Also don't buy fancy shrimp for them!)

My wife and I love Brazilian steakhouses, so anytime we travel, we make it a point to try one…read more While visiting Boston for a Patriots game, we decided to check out Spettus Steak House, and we were so glad we did. From the outside, the restaurant looks plain and unassuming, but once inside, it's modern, comfortable, and inviting. We had made reservations, but when we arrived, the place wasn't too crowded. The staff greeted us warmly and explained that we could either do the full rodizio or choose specific meats and pay by the pound. Naturally, we went for the full rodizio experience. The salad bar was a pleasant surprise. Unlike other Brazilian steakhouses that focus mainly on cold cuts, cheeses, and salads, Spettus had a smaller selection of cold items but an impressive variety of hot dishes such as pastas, meatballs, rice, and chicken parm. Everything was flavorful and fresh, and honestly, I could've been perfectly happy just eating from the salad bar alone. We also noticed that a good number of customers were doing takeout, which might explain the larger selection of hot foods. Then came the main event, the meats. Since it was a slower evening and we were the only table doing the full rodizio, we basically had personalized service. The gentleman serving the meats was friendly, attentive, and clearly took pride in what he was serving. He offered great recommendations, took our requests, and playfully encouraged us to take "just one more slice" each time he came around. Every cut we tried was excellent, but the garlic steak really stood out for its flavor. The sausage was fantastic, and the absolute stars of the night were the picanha and the grilled pineapple. I could eat those two forever and be completely content. Overall, Spettus Steak House delivered a top-notch experience that easily rivals some of the larger chain Brazilian steakhouses. If I find myself back in the Boston area, I'll definitely be returning.

Jahunger - Mee fen

Jahunger

I'm so glad Uyghur cuisine has made its way to Boston…read more I was first introduced to it years ago at Silk Road in Cambridge, and I've been hoping more Uyghur restaurants would open ever since. Jahunger truly delivers. The restaurant immediately sets the mood. Candlelight, the scent of incense, traditional instruments on the walls, and pothos plants growing from mounted glass jars all make the space feel warm and inviting. One warning: unless you arrive around 6 p.m. or earlier, expect a wait. (It's popular.) Oh, and the food is worth it. The leek and egg dumplings tasted homemade in the best way: slightly rustic, fresh, and delicious. The hand-pulled noodles are the stars. Every noodle dish we ordered had the perfect chewy texture. My favorite was the Laghman noodles, though the Jahunger noodles were a close second with their rich spices and satisfying heat. The mee fen and stir-fried green beans both packed a respectable kick and leaned a little salty, but not enough to keep me from happily polishing them off. Don't forget the tea! It's beautiful to look at, filled with all sorts of ingredients (Chinese jujubes!), and only lightly sweet, which I appreciated. Then came the showstopping honey cake. The cake itself was fluffy, while the filling had a firmer, almost sticky texture with deep caramelized flavors that reminded me of burnt caramel in the best possible way. Paired with what tasted like coffee ice cream, it was the perfect ending to the meal. Jahunger is one of those restaurants that makes you want to come back before you've even paid the bill. I'm so glad Jahunger made it to Cambridge; the Boston food scene is richer because it's here.

We came in and the restaurant was filled with younger people who were hanging out. To start off we ordered lamb dumplings and scallion pancakes. I was familiar with both of these appetizers and they were the same as anywhere else. To eat, we ordered chicken stew. The waitress told us that one stew was spicy and the other was non spicy. We decided to order the non-spicy one since others were not big fans of spice. When we received the food it was very spicy. It was hard to eat and we did not enjoy it. The waitress came back and thought we wanted the spicy chicken stew which was incorrect. She apologized and wanted to switch it. At this point we were running late so it didn't matter. We just packed it and gave it to our family member who likes spice. This place was okay. I will have to come back here and give it another chance.

I never expected to find something like this in Boston…read more Bab Al Yemen offers a flavor profile that's genuinely unique and unlike anything you'll find at most restaurants, not just in Boston, but honestly in many places around the world. Through extensive travel across the U.S. and internationally, I had never come across a Yemeni restaurant before. What made this experience even more special was how authentic it felt from start to finish. Everything, from the food to the atmosphere and even the diverse mix of diners enjoying their meals at tables and on traditional floor seating, made for a truly immersive experience. I ordered a dish built around falafel and rice, something I've eaten countless times at Mediterranean and Middle Eastern restaurants over the years. Yet somehow, Bab Al Yemen transformed familiar ingredients into something entirely their own. The execution was flawless, and the seasoning and flavor profile were unlike any version I've had before. If there's such a thing as an elevated falafel-and-rice dish, this is it. For anyone looking to explore a cuisine that's difficult to find and experience something authentically different, Bab Al Yemen is absolutely worth a visit. It was one of the most memorable meals of my trip to Boston.
