The best falafel wraps in MA! We live near boston and with so many shawarma / falafel places nearby we've tried a handful of great spots but nothing beats this place! We live in Abington and have been getting food from Shawarma & Shakes for years now. My dad's family is Lebanese, and S&S does a great job with the foods I grew up eating, which as anyone who comes from a family that can cook well will tell you is not easy or common! Their hummus and toum are excellent, very authentic. But I'm writing this review because they really took it up a level (that we didn't even think was possible) this past weekend when we had them provide food for my son's rehearsal diner. Not only was the food (chicken and beef shawarma, falafel, grape leaves, hummus, toum, hot pepper mix, bread) outstanding, but Elio worked with us on price and pickup and was incredibly kind and generous with portions. Everyone, including vegetarians and people with gluten allergies, raved about the food. First time trying this place! Ordered delivery via Door Dash; received it quickly so service must have been timely. I had the chicken shawarma plate with hummus and garden salad, and baklava. The flavor of the chicken and rice with garlic sauce was delicious, but next time I would order extra sauce as there wasn't quite enough. The hummus and salad with stuffed grape leaves complemented it perfectly. The baklava was a bit drier and less sweet than I'm used to. Overall, very good! read more

This was a marvelous place to have a meal with my little brother and his girlfriend. They were vegan, so I asked him if he liked vegetarian foods like falafel, and he did! So, we found this place. This was actually SO GOOD! Probably THE BEST falafel I've ever had, but they also gave us a number of free stuff, like deep fried Oreos, which were actually pretty good! I was very impressed with the service, generosity, attention to details, and the care. They took great effort to make us all happy, and treated us better than any place I went to, all year. Does anyone remember the Purple Eggplant Pizzeria that used to be here? It closed so rapidly you'd think the owners and staff had to go into witness protection or something! Well, Shawarma and Shakes opened up in its place, and I finally decided to give them a try. Ordered the chicken shawarma with hummus and hot-hot. The hummus was delightful! It has a thinner consistency (which I don't mind by any means), and tasted homemade! Hot-hot, which is a blend of peppers in an oil (sauce?) brought the heat, but were a delight as well as a medium scorcher (be forewarned - I have higher-than-average heat tolerance). The plate also came with pita bread. Two notes on sides: First, I would have liked the hot-hot to be a little less oily, but I realize that can be a logistic challenge. Second, I would have liked more of both, since the amounts weren't very proportional to the main. Finally, pita bread was not the greatest I'd even had. And that main though! The portion size was very filling, and I can EAT. If you don't have a tendency to eat like a vacuum cleaner, split this with a friend (this is why I was mentioning the amount of sides). The chicken was cooked and seasoned nicely, the rice was cooked perfectly, and the garlic sauce added a very nice touch without being overwhelming. Everything was well balanced too with not too much chicken or rice. For fresh, hot food, it didn't take too long, about 10 minutes give or take. Price was reasonable considering the portion size/quality also. Overall, nothing mind-blowing or worth driving an hour for, but if you're close-ish and feeling some shawarma, absolutely give it a go. read more

Total waste of money! We stopped by on the way to beach and took 5 shawarma bowls to go. We ended up throwing 3 of them. The food is bland, salt less, tasteless. Be careful with the young lady at the counter, she will hoodwink you. A bowl comes with 2 sides. We were occupied with toddlers and she 'smartly' replaced the 10 sides with 4 falafal which we should anyway get free for orders over $79.99 per their coupons in the menu. When asked she said they only honor coupons if we received in mail and that she's giving us free (as a favor). It's obvious they are a penny-pincher business and cut corners. The bottom line is, food is meh...do not recommend. read more

Food is excellent, but prices are smoke and mirrors. Website prices are off more than $4. Is it that hard to update your website once a year. looks like they haven't updated since they opened... Don't list prices, putting a prices are subject to change does fix the smoke and mirrors... Next time gonna try a shake.. This place is a nice change of pace! After hearing good things, I decided to give it a try for lunch. I ordered the mixed shawarma plate with hummus, salad and extra garlic sauce. The mixed shawarma (chicken & beef) was juicy and well-seasoned. The bed of rice it was sitting on was so light, fluffy and tasty, I could of eaten a plate of that alone and I'm usually not a big rice person. The homemade hummus is some of the best I've ever had and that garlic sauce - it needs to be bottled and sold by the jar!! My husband and I stopped on our way to the cape. We YELPed the local area and this spot came up. I had never had shawarma so I was excited to try. Interior left a lot to be desired. Three small tables and some metal chairs. A little love in there could go a long way. Service was excellent; the order taker was very sweet. She made sure we had everything we needed. I ordered the beef plate and my husband got the chicken plate. When the order came up I was really excited to try. Immediately, I noticed the beef was dry and tough. Tough as rubber. I didn't want to address it but felt I had to given the price and how overcooked it was. I couldn't eat it. Pita was also very tough and dry. Hummus was the best I'd ever had! Yummmmm. The employee said that was "how the beef is supposed to be cooked." I asked instead for the chicken, which was much better and what I expected; juicy, soft, flavorful. She did not charge me extra. The falafel wraps and shawarma wraps are both out of this world! The baklava and baked desserts are incredible. Honey-drenched layers of pastry and love. Absolutely the nicest owners and one of the best spots on the South Shore. Just a fantastic place and an awesome vibe. My family and I love it. That said, the shakes are enormous and waaaay too much for me. Also incredible though if you have a stomach that won't quit. Gifford's ice cream is terrific. Got takeout Sunday night about 40 mins before closing. The food was lights out.... Got the chicken shawarma plate and the beef shawarma plate and my goodness is that garlic sauce something special. That would have been enough, but the reason I felt I had to share a review was to shout out the service. Everyone that worked there was so warm and welcoming. Just wow! I had Chicken Shawarma and chicken sheesh kabab delivered. The salads were fresh, rice was flavorful, the hummus delicious and the chicken shawarma was delectable. The Sheesh kebabs were nice too but a bit too charred for my taste. I think they got burnt a bit. The grape leaf rolls were on point. We devoured it as soon as it came so no pics :) read more

Was feening for some Middle Eastern food so figured I'd give this place a try. Ordering was fine. Woman was polite and happy to answer questions such as "What's hot hot?" FYI, she said it's peppers like shishito and jalapenos grilled with oil and that it's spicy. It was. Anyway, we ordered a mixed shawarma plate, beef and chicken with salad and hummus and while we wanted lamb shawarma, it wasn't on the menu so we went for the lamb kebob plate with hot hot and hummus. Got there and was happy to see all employees were masked up. The portions are huge. One plate easily serves 2. First, the sides. The hot hot is good for pepper lovers. It is hot and oily but if you like that, you'll like this. The hummus is a little loose but has a really nice balance of lemon and garlic. The pita bread however, is hard which we weren't expecting. Maybe it's just a different style but we prefer the soft pita. The salad was nice. It has red onion, cucumber and feta. There's also a mini stuffed grape leave which was awesome! The mixed plate was overall, delicious. The chicken was awesome--tender and hugely flavorful. My mouth was happy. The beef was also decent though very over cooked so a bit rawhide like in consistency which is too bad. It definitely has potential if they can keep it tender, especially with the yum garlic sauce it comes with. The rice on both plates is rice. Nothing to write home about. The epic fail here and the reason for the -2 stars, is the lamb plate. The lamb was horrible. It was really bad. Completely over cooked, chewy as a result and truthfully, inedible. I'm talking, hard to cut with the plastic knife they provided. At $17 for the lamb kebob plate, they need to figure out how to get this right or do themselves a favor and simply take it off the menu, it's that bad. They're going to lose customers who will be unwilling to risk money again. It's not cheap. Ours was $33 and change for the 2 plates, but I'd go back strictly for the chicken shawarma with the rice, salad and hummus. That, gets an A-. Lamb kebob plate? D. read more

Absolutely fantastic food! I decided to give them a try for lunch the other day and was just blown away by how good it was! The Shawarma wrap is amazing; the pita bread is really tasty and the veggies, meat, and sauces are perfect. Though I do recommend getting the fries in the wrap, makes it even better! The appetizers are also fantastic. I could eat the cheese sambosaks all day if I could and I wasn't sure how the pastrami roll would be but was pleasantly surprised! And of course their shakes are also really good! Definitely give this place a try, I know I will be ordering again just to try out more of the menu! read more

Well AVENGERS really got the whole world to try Shawarma. I tried it a while back and I haven't turned back since. Shawarma and Shake is a nice establishment located In Weymouth Mass, I have been living in Weymouth for a year now and I just got to experience the deliciousness of Shawarma and shakes and it's one of a kind.
