This little place in Rockland has the BEST middle eastern food. Everything is fresh and made daily! I had the falafel sandwich which was loaded with falafel and fresh veggies and was Huge so had 1/2 for lunch and 1/2 for dinner. My friend had the lamb kebab plate and the lamb was perfectly cooked and delicious. There are a few tables if one wants to eat there. Well worth the price. read more

Have have a dear Cousin in the local Rehabilitation Hospital. The food was horrible and she was starving.. I live 1000 miles away from her and the only option I had was to turn to the internet and find local restaurants that deliver.. I checked them all out on line and this one looked very good, had great reviews so I called and explained my predicament. They were so kind and helpful. They helped me place an order that would last her a few days and with a great variety of options to choose from.. They kindly delivered it to the rehabilitation hospital and gave it to the Nurse on her floor.. My cousin was just over the moon with the food and the selection.. Being stuck in a bed with a huge cast was no fun but not having good food made it so much harder on her.. She had this food for 3 wonderful days and she still raves about it.. It was just as good heated up as it was the day she received it.. I would order from them again in a heartbeat.. I do wish they had more dessert options bit what they did have was very good.. Great good, good prices. Not a fancy restaurant by any means but they do have four tables and the place is clean. The food here is the star, so nothing else matters too too much. Literally everything we had were great. The rice pilaf was soft and fluffy, oh so delicious. The salad was fresh tasty and crisp. Grilled veggies and meat were done well, grilled shrimp was fresh and plump. I liked the falafel sandwich "wrap". The wrap itself is delicious, I wish that I could find them at the grocery store. A nice thin version of a pita, thinner that most tortillas. The falafel could have been more crisp; but may have been steamed some from the wrap? Nice fresh vegetables, a tasty sauce and the flavor of the fresh parsley really came through. This I recommend. Walked in today and noticed a woman sitting at the table and she made eye contact with me. I said Hi what do you recommend from the menu as I hadn't been or haven't been in years. She replied everything is good, I am the owner. I then ask what are you having she said beef with rice and French fries. I said that sounds good maybe I will give it a try. In the meantime there is a big overweight guy behind the register that says don't talk to her that is my wife. I said I am not bothering her I was just asking for a recommendation on the food. Authentic and fresh Mediterranean food on the South Shore. Very rich and delicious flavors. The restaurant is very clean and organized, with friendly and welcoming staff. They will take their time to make recommendations if you're not sure what to get (so many great options!) I got the Kafta platter which was juicy and flavorful. Delicious french fries, generous servings, and a very kind staff are Roy's high points. They are to thank for elevating this review from raving lunacy to a loosely composed description of what happened to me this afternoon. Maybe it's my fault for ordering a burger from a shawarma joint, but I'm hard pressed to think of an excuse for any place that serves food to allow this pathetic excuse for a "burger" to make its way in front of a customer. I had ordered from there before and got chicken shawarma, which I did not care for. Dry rice, dry chicken, bland aioli. I'm not overly fond of Mediterranean food in general, but I thought I might want to give them another try. Maybe it was an off day at Roy's Kabab when I tried it first, but I was shown otherwise this afternoon. This account has been dormant for years, but I cannot possibly allow Roy and his band of charlatans to continue to deceive the public into thinking they produce edible food. Before bracing myself to try and break the outer crust of the sandwich, I showed my colleagues in the lunch room what I was working with. Not a soul said anything other than "that does not look appetizing." Even the individual who had goaded me into ordering from here admitted that is was an ugly burger. So visually, we're not dealing with a high quality product. I've attached a few sample photos. Right off the bat I'm pretty aware of what's going on, but looks can be deceiving! Let's see how it tastes. Most of the bun was stale. The lake of mayonnaise with a whisper of ketchup made sure to fully saturate any part of the bread that wasn't wooden. The large chunks of onion between the bun and hockey puck burger were enjoying a nice swim in this lake of off-putting condiments, however they were localized to maybe one or two bites out of the whole thing (to their credit, it's a fairly large burger) and immensely overpowering when you got a bite with onion in it. The skewer they used to hold everything together (not sure how I feel about this - the patty was incredibly thin, so it certainly wasn't in danger of toppling over, but it was also extremely slick because of the mayo-lube they chose to slather all over everything) pierced a hole through the bun, and a full geyser of condiments squirted out of the top and covered the bun. All over my hands. Come on, Roy. Someone that saw the sandwich asked me if they patty itself was "vintage" because it was missing even a hint of moisture. Dry-aged is not the way I like my ground beef patties, but then again perhaps I'm to blame because I chose to get a burger from this place. Not their fault they only restock their burgers every other election cycle. Regardless, I got less than halfway through and decided that it was just not worth it. Your takeaway here should be "Don't get the burger and proceed with caution otherwise, but the staff is kind and it's reasonably priced given the portions." Unfortunately, I am a stickler for the food, and it is in this department that Roy fails to deliver. I am going to go home and take a shower. read more
