They have a lot of nice choices here such as veggie burgers, turkey burgers, delicious salads, grilled chicken, grilled salmon, sandwiches and wraps. Last time I was here I got the Thai Chicken Wrap and it was made fresh and was very tasty. The peanut sauce that came on the wrap was delicious. The ordering process is very easy, you just order at the counter and they will call you when your meal is ready to go. The workers here are very nice and are a pleasure to deal with. A miracle! Healthy, delicious food, served with a smile. We were so glad to discover The Healthy Kitchen. Amazingly wide selection of items under one roof. We got the Healthy Fajita, it was so delicious you would never think it was low calorie! Consistent utilitarian food, prepared while you wait. There is plenty of parking, and during traditional meal hours the place really fills up. There are three restaurants within the one building. One is healthy meals, counting calories and actually not bad; they also have a fro-yo bar with unhealthy toppings. The second is the large eatery that offers turkey and meatloaf dinners, roasted chicken and other comfort food. The final place is a pizza/pasta joint. All are decent in their own right. The downside is, the tables and chairs are filthy. Plan on washing your own table. It's gross. The bathrooms are very gross. I do indeed think they have room to grow and I will continue to come here and look forward to their specials. -Original review- I hope this review serves as helpful criticism because I really love the idea they're shooting for, as fresh and nutritious options are lacking in this area. In my experience, the food and vegetables served here are not fresh. It appears to me that the chicken, specifically, is reheated from some sort of ready-made packaging, given the texture, and a lot of the vegetables seem frozen or not fresh. For these reason, the ingredients are generally lacking in flavor. Additionally, I think they may benefit from working with a nutritionist to improve the menu. The bowls feature hefty portions of rice, it seems to be about 2.5 extra servings of rice than would be typically recommended, but not a lot of protein. I'm skeptical that menu items like this are actually under 500 calories. (I should stress that I believe it's more important to eat a nutritiously-fueled meal that your bodies needs rather than to let a caloric count or an elimination diet to determine "health"). However, other menu items, like the entrees, only come with one side, so you must pick between either a vegetable or a starch. Overall they would benefit from guidance to feature nutritionally balanced meals that provide adequate and lasting fuel. They have a great starting point and I'm hoping that the establishment improves their ingredients and pairings. The staff here are so kind and as helpful as possible, but I agree with the other reviewers that they are not well-acquainted with the menu and unable to answer some questions or clarify questions about some of the ingredients or ways they are prepared. I'm going to let you in on a little secret... there's an AMAZING yogurt bar in Quincy, no it's not one of those new trendy chain places that people brag about... it's so much better (oh, and healthier). Kelly let me know about this place a few months back and I've been a few times now. There's a wall full of flavors to choose from... and you can even 'swirl' two flavors together. Not sure about the Red Velvet or the Chili Chocolate flavor, ask the girls at the counter for a sample cup. My only complaint about this place is the set up. It's a little cramped as you try to get to all of the toppings, especially because this places is always busy! And about toppings, there's seriously everything that you could ever imagine and more, like FRUITY PEBBLES!! Healthy Kitchen claims that all of their menu items are 500 calories or less, which means you can get a great meal and not feel guilty! The frozen yogurt here is SO GOOD. Flavors change all the time and the topping array is endless. Candy, fruit, and cereal are all available to top off your low-fat/non-fat froyo. It's really cheap too (only .49 an ounce!) and it's HEALTHY (well...it's healthy if you don't load it w/ candy!). I'm a big fan of the fro-yo craze, and even bigger fan of when it's DIY so I can mix and match fro-yo flavors and toppings to make a crazy concoction, so I was really excited to find a DIY fro-yo place in Quincy! There are several fro-yo flavors to choose from that changes often (e.g., strawberry cheesecake, lemon tart, coffee, etc). The quality of the fro-yo is not the same as perhaps the national chain fro-yo places, as here it is a bit watery and somewhat more chalky in texture comparatively. I do like how there are several topping bars, and the fruit is generally fresh too, though the mochi is a bit dry and sad here. The added perk of this place is there is parking in the back, some outdoor seating, or plenty of indoor seat-yourself seating. You can also come here to purchase things from the convenience store or perhaps some dinner from Fish N Chicken while you're here. read more

I haven't tried the food but the frozen yogurt here is fantastic. The flavors change every few weeks or monthly but they always have a nice range. Of course there are some flavors that are more my cup of tea than others, but the ones that I like are so great! I particularly love the fruit flavors, and when they have cheesecake flavor, I mix some of that in with the fruit flavor. SO GOOD! :) There are a huge number of toppings, from fresh fruit to candy to cereal to sauces, and I have never found any to be stale like they have been sitting around awhile. You can get as much of everything as you want. My one complaint is that they have 1 size of bowl - enormous. It just leads me to get more than I planned and the frozen yogurt isn't cheap compared to other ice cream places! read more

There is a yogurt bar in Quincy? I can go there at lunch? Who dropped the ball on telling me about this place?! Honestly, I feel cheated that I've been working in Quincy for five years and did not know about this place. Averages about 10 flavors of yogurt PLUS the ability to swirl two together or if you're me, add about 4 flavors to your cup. The girls behind the counter are fast to offer up a sample cup for you just in case you aren't sure about the Tahitian Vanilla or Cookie Crisp goodness. Toppings include everything from A-Z. For the more health conscience group (I am not in your group but we'll agree to disagree) there are lots of fruit options. Also many varieties of cereal. But what really appeals to me? The candy toppings (surprised?). We are talking almost any candy bar you can think of from Butterfinger to M&M. Jimmies versus sprinkles customers will have no issues since both are offered. What do I get you ask? Well I vary my yogurt choice and top on a variety of M&Ms, chocolate jimmies, chocolate chips, cookie dough pieces and mini peanut butter cups.And don't forget a little hot fudge. At this point you are probably thinking "Hey Kelly, I thought this place was called the Healthy Kitchen?". Yes you would be correct. And my follow up question to you would be "Isn't it healthy to be happy"? After piling on your toppings, head over to the cashier where they will weigh your creation and offer you a to go topper and a cute plastic spoon. Usually fro-yo places are bright and sunny in a forced way that attempts to invoke the glamor of Southern Cali. Not healthy kitchen. Their fro-yo place is nestled right next to some sort of healthy dinner joint that appears to draw older people watching their waist lines, and that is fine by me. The no-frills, lack of pretention atmosphere is probably one of the main reasons why my boyfriend and I love this place so much. What it lacks in trendiness it makes up for in high quality options. The Healthy Kitchen is located within the Common Market Food Court along with Fish n Chicken and the Pasta and Pizza Cafe. If the latter two have their own yelp pages, then Healthy Kitchen needs its own as well. Especially when they advertise that all of their food is under 500 calories. This review is mainly for the Self-Serve Frozen Yogurt Bar at Healthy Kitchen. While I usually meet my froyo cravings by heading into Boston, the addition of a new froyo place in the Quincy/Milton Area is not good for my figure. I can't say that Healthy Kitchen's froyo is better than Mixx's (because it's not), but HK does offer a lot of options to choose from. AND THAT MAKES IT GOOD ENOUGH. The froyo is sold at 45 cents an ounce; I love the California Tart, Tart Raspberry, and Watermelon Sorbet (not froyo, but oh, so good!). The Lemon flavor was really weird, and the espresso is really strong (good for anyone who needs a kick of caffeine). They have a huge array of dry toppings (cereals, mini candies, nuts, gummies) and lots of fruits (blackberries, strawberries, kiwi)! Everything is very fresh and I CAN'T STAY AWAY. Three words: Bangkok Thai Bowl ... OMG!! I went with my hubby, who was at first skeptical of any restaurant with the name "Healthy" in it. I think he was expecting to eat leaves... He had the beef stir fry and pronounced it "AMAZING!!". Mine was the Thai Bowl and I absolutely LOVED it. I am a struggling vegetarian (only because when Mom cooks some red meat dishes I can't resist) and choose veggie foods/meals when I eat at many establishments. That dish is incredible. The cashier that took my order from the Healthy Kitchen side was really nice, and very busy. There were other workers standing around with nothing to do, but they were working in the other section of the place. I ordered the Wasabi Salmon Burger (which I would recommend to others) and had some frozen yogurt. Make your own "healthy" sundae? How can you go wrong! Wish I had thought of it. My brother suggested visiting this place and I was surprised when we pulled in- "This is Fish and Chicken!" Yes, it is in the same convenient store/cafeteria style building/room/location. Grab a cup, pick your flavor (s) and add toppings from their bar. I went with a mix of Rocky Road, Salted Caramel, and Cookies n Cream yogurt and added a heap of toppings. My boyfriend and I eat here 1 to 2 times of week, because it is quick and somewhat healthy, so you could consider us rather loyal customers. However, after our experience tonight, that will change. We ordered our usual rice bowls, which after adding protein, are about $11.75. I asked for extra veggies, as I usually do, and the cook rudely replied, "ya if she wants to pay $2 extra." Then once the bowls were made, we realized we had been ripped off as there was barely any rice in the bowls and no blue cheese on a BUFFALO bowl. I asked for more sauce, and the cook again rudely replied, "that's $0.50." For sauce that he DIDN'T put on in the first place. After I pointed that out, he continued to argue with me from the back of the kitchen. Poor customer service to clearly loyal customers, the staff lacks any knowledge surrounding their own menu, and the cooks should stick to cooking..
