    Moroccan Club

Certain parts of the food were good, and most parts were extremely dissapointing. I got the Moroccan club sandwich with "bacon." The flatbread is actually really good, the chipotle was acceptable but on the bland side. The meat was mediocre. The lettuce in the sandwich was absolutely disgusting and they stuffed literally half an onion into my sandwich. The employee was nice and the service was good. I hope you like mayonnaise and onions!

A lovely little place with comfortable seating and great food. The pastries are also pretty amazing. I've enjoyed everything I've eaten.

We wanted to be somewhere by 8am, so that worked for us. 2) They have a parking lot, just past the intersection, after the building on Water Street. Okay, this was more of a bonus for us, at least initially, but when I got there and saw the streets around them, I even more appreciated it. There's also an entry from the parking lot, but it isn't particularly clearly marked. I read about it on someone else's review, and got there first, so I had time to meander. But is the metal staircase closest to the sidewalk. There was a single waitress, which meant service wasn't the quickest. But she was nice and knew her regular by name. The booths had clear plastic (or glass... I didn't touch them to verify) dividers - perhaps due to the pandemic and social distancing, perhaps not, but I liked them and they seemed a part of the original booths, rather then an after thought. We split a sweet and a savory - double strawberry pancakes (3 pancakes with both berries cooked in, and strawberry compote, whipped cream on the side) $12.50, and Granite Street Benedict (with corned beef hash) $14.50. The sweet was surprisingly not too sweet, while the savory was a bit too salty. We weren't hurried along or anything. And they take both cash or credit.

Milkweed manages to stand out in a crowded scene by focusing on what matters most: incredibly fresh and flavorful food. The menu spans breakfast, brunch, and lunch with a level of seasoning that hits the mark every time. These are my favorites so far: -The Sweet Dutch Baby: A crowd-pleaser that manages to be both airy and indulgent. - Corned Beef Hash: Super fresh and flavorful. You get an entire roasted roma tomato. - Cheesy Spinach Omelette: Simple, fresh, and very cheesy. - The iced coffees and teas are well-crafted as well. - For those looking for a lighter start, they offer great "healthier" alternatives like smoothies and loaded fruit and yogurt bowls, making it an easy choice for groups with different dietary preferences. The Experience The atmosphere is very homey. Staff are friendly. Place is clean and doesn't have that diner stickiness. The service can be a bit of a rollercoaster. There are moments when it feels like you've faded into the background or been forgotten entirely. But the food is worth the wait. If you're looking for a quick "in-and-out" meal, this might not be the place. But if you value high-quality, delicious brunch offerings and don't mind a slower pace, Milkweed is a local gem that delivers where it counts.

What we ordered: - Strawberry Nutella French Toast: 3/5, this was a lot better the first time I had it. This time it was super dry and the strawberries were very bruised and mushy - Savory Dutch pancake: 5/5, such an interesting dish, very filling, generous portions of eggs/burrata/prosciutto - Mushroom Florentine omelet: 5/5, my mom absolutely loved it. Said they were generous with the toppings cooked in. - Tater tot casserole: 3/5, guest said it was average but wish there was more egg in it - Corn beef hash: 4.5/5, guest said it was real, high quality corn beef hash (versus from a can). Took 1/2 point off because the eggs weren't cooked perfectly. We liked the vibes of this place and the creative dishes, will definitely be back to try new things.
