I found Lumi Vietnamese Bistro through yelp because I was craving Asian food. I was planning to get pho (noodles) but the banh mi (Vietnamese sandwiches) looked more yummy in the photos so I went with the grilled pork patties banh mi, fried tofu banh mi, and the fresh spring rolls. Their banh mi is really good and it's made fresh. The staff will warm up the bread and they were generous with the filling. They also put fish sauce on the bread and that gives it more flavor. You can choose spicy and they'll add jalapenos in. The fresh spring rolls were okay, nothing fancy but it was a good appetizer. They are located inside South Shore Plaza. You order from the counter and when your food is ready, they'll call your number. They have lots of seating inside the shop. I went on a weekday an hour before closing and they weren't busy. Overall, I was very happy with my food and their prices were reasonable.

The Vietnamese coffee was just right. Not too sweet and not too bitter. Also got the beef stew with noodles, potato, and sweet beef. No complaints here.

Lumi is absolutely delicious! Everyone is so kind! Every time I come it is always good! My family is very pleased. Which means a lot! Lumi, thank you so much for your incredible service and delicious food!

Popped in grabbed a couple tea drinks and tried their banh mi for first time! They got my go to nem nuong, extra late extra butter peppers etc. must say the squeeze drip factor for the banh mi and the butter pate mix spilling out was on point! The drinks usually are on the small size. But refreshing we got the sunset seltzer and the plum soda. Both were tasty. The che desert was overall good, a bit less shaved ice a bit more jelly or coconut milk would be welcome! Will be back for more again!

Delicious strong coffee! I got the egg coffee on the stronger side and it tastes so good! The coffee is strong and earthy and the egg foam is sweet and creamy. The 'egg' is kind similar to cold foam and it tastes like custard. The sweetness of the egg foam and the strong coffee blends well. This coffee is strong and really kept me awake!

Lumi is such a great addition to the South Shore Plaza Mall. They just moved locations so you can find them on the first floor beneath the food court. The new space is huge and well decorated. I'm a big fan of their viet coffees! The coffees are bold and have unique flavors like Ube, Egg or Salted Caramel. Every single time I've gotten their coffees I've really enjoyed them. The banh mis are good, they could use more filling but overall pretty tasty. I think their noodle bowls could use more work though, the noodles were a bit undercooked and the ratio of noodles to meat/veggies was disproportionate. Service is good too, orders come out quickly and the baristas are friendly.

Lumi Vietnamese Bistro is AMAZING! I have yet to try their banh mis or other food items but their drinks are absolutely worth getting ! When they first opened, they were by Primark/Sears side of the mall upstairs. Since then, they've relocated and opened where the old au bon pain used to be & side where Lord & Taylor once was. The new space is much bigger & has LOTS of seating. Lumi has a pretty good selection for food and drinks, including Chè, banh mi, vermicelli bowls, vietnamese coffee (ube foam, egg foam, and more). Highly recommend vietnamese coffee if you haven't tried, especially if you like a stronger coffee.

Cute little spot inside of the mall. Very clean, modern, welcoming space. More of a stop in to order to go, only a few stools available for seating. The banh mi looked good and fresh, all made to order. Already had lunch so I'll have to come back for a try next time. I really stopped by because I could smell the coffee. They had all kinds of coffee variations and some bubble tea as well. viet iced coffee with Salted Egg foam 5/5! : I decided to go with the iced coffee with the salty egg cream foam. It sounds strange but it was An amazing combination. If you enjoy salted Caramel, get the foam!!! If you're not sure the staff was very friendly and will make recommendations as well.

The dessert is yummy. Feel fresh

The food in here is always good, clean and light not too heavy like the others around here. The closest Vietnamese traditional favor I have eaten in MA. Keep it going. The price is ok for me , but whenever I want it need to drive into the mall. The service is ok.

Lumi is located on the second floor in the South Shore plaza and has tasty Banh Mi and drinks! They make your Banh Mi right away and the sandwich itself is a decent size. The Banh Mi is a bit on the pricier end at $8.95-$9.95 a sandwich, but not surprising since it's in the mall. The nice thing though is that when I went, they were running a special where if you order a Banh Mi, you'll get a drink for only $1! it seems like they run these sorts of deals quite often, so check out their Instagram. When I tried Lumi, I got their Banh Mi Thit Nuong (Grilled Beef). I've been incredibly loyal to Ba Le in Dorchester and Quincy for my entire life, but Ba Le has some competition now. The Grilled Beef in the Banh Mi was tender and well-seasoned with notes of lemongrass. The sandwich had house-picked veggies, scallion oil, cucumbers, onions, cilantro, and jalapenos. I'd love for the pickled veggies to be a little bit more vinegary, but I understand how that might not be for everyone. I believe they also add fish sauce, which is tasty. It's a little too salty for me, but still delicious. The baguette bread is crisp and flaky; I imagine they make them in-house. I got their ube and egg coffee. Their egg coffee is a must-try as it's topped with a salty yet sweet egg foam. I would ask for the smoother version over the strong version since the traditional/stronger version is a bit too bunch for me, but still good. The Ube coffee doesn't have a strong Ube flavor, so I probably wouldn't get it again. The shop itself is quite small with cute decorations. There are only a few stools to sit at their counter, but I suppose you could always bring the Banh Mi to the food court if you want a full table to sit at. I would come back to try their other drinks and maybe a different sandwich :)

Found this place inside the south shore Plaza and it is such a cute place to take a break from shopping. Great place to relax with some cooling drinks and have some fun with friends taking cute pictures. The staff here was so friendly and was very patient with us looking though their many great food and drink options. The tri colored dessert here was the best I have ever had and I would definitely come here whenever I crave it. It was so cooling and the coconut juice they used is so fresh. Their coffee was also very delicious, perfect sweet and the ube really adds an extra layer of flavor and creamiest. The banh mi's were so delicious with their house made butter and patte mixed with fresh veggies and good amount of cold cut meats. The bread itself was soft on the inside with a flaky shell. The other foods we tried were all very tasty as well.

Lumi Vietnamese Bistro located on the first floor right below the food court is such a breath of fresh air for South Shore Plaza. Perfectly reflected aesthetics and fun props such as rice paddy hats and bikes can be found in this cutesy bistro cafe. Their bold Specialty Vietnamese coffees include ube, salted caramel, sea salt, and egg. They also offer many refreshing drinks. For a quick bite, you can choose banh mi, noodle bowl, or pastries. The staff members are so friendly and helpful with recommendations. Definitely recommend if you're in the area.

The best Bahn Mi on the south shore! I've gotten the opportunity to try the traditional, pork, and chicken bahn mi - they've all been fantastic but the chicken bahn mi really stands out. I'm not sure what they do to it but the chicken is so flavorful and tender, 10/10! But you can't go wrong either with the traditional or pork. They also have unique beverages like the Passionfruit yogurt chiller. The yogurt is sweet/tart - very interesting and would definitely recommend. I've already been back several times and haven't been disappointed it once.

Vermicelli bowl with roast pork. Fried Vietnamese egg roll added to the dish for $3.

It seemed silly to buy a whole quart of firewood at the end of the season, so we've been going to the grocery store. The wood is sub par, wrapped in environmentally unfriendly plastic and pops A LOT! So when we were driving past this place in Milton, we gave it a shot. They are lovely and will load firewood into your car for you. I went on my way home while wearing a suit, heels and formal coat, and the gentleman helping us out would not let me touch a log. Their wood burns very nicely and is the perfect size. There are very few pops and the wood is high quality. We recently relocated to the Boston area, and had purchased wood from another source in NY. This wood is far superior to what we had previously ordered and we plan to order it in bulk next year. Bonus points, this quaint store has nice freshly baked bread, flowers and gourmet goods as well as some staples. Only thing I would recommend is adding some Iggy's baguettes. Oatmilk, Welch's juices, Newman's Own, Tropicana, etc. They also sell bread, sandwiches, snacks such as cookies and candy, and fresh flowers that are displayed outside!
