Probably one of the most underrated coffee shops in Braintree. Vibe is great and staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. The breakfast is delicious and the lunch menu is full with very flavorful and full of great options but the best thing they have is the coffee. My favorite coffee is the Irish crème.

A cool little place for a casual cup of coffee (thus the name) and lunch. I haven't tried the food but the Cookies and Cream iced latte is good. This is such a cozy little spot that you can work from during the day. The menu looks really good too. The owner seems nice and was friendly when I chatted with her. Would definitely return!

Asked for oat milk and hardly got any to even change the color of my coffee! There was no room for me to ask for oat milk, which kind of sucked. the infused bean taste was pretty good, new concept to me! The server was ok, could have been more helpful and friendly. Ambiance was cool, busy on Saturday mornings for sure

Drinks were very watery. Latte tasted like drip coffee with milk but somehow thinner. It was just a sad drink that we had to wait 20 minutes for. We didn't try the food, but it looked ok. That's the two stars are for.

Very good breakfast sandwich. Bacon, provolone and egg on an Asiago cheese bagel. Good coffee. Solid choice for breakfast. (I stopped going across the street to Ashley's when I was presented with a bill including a service charge for using a card--I was paying with cash.) Coming to the Casual Cup from now on.

So cute! The coffee was great, loved that it was in the bean and no syrup. The egg sandwich was really good! I would recommend stopping in

I am obsessed with their onion bagel with egg and cheese, their bagels are so soft and it's just perfect!! I also got their hot brownie toffee crunch coffee and it was delicious!

Located right in Braintree center, The Casual Cup (Kudos to the name) is the best cafe to work, drink coffee (duh), eat some yummy breakfast (Avocado Toast and Smoothies). Stopped in here to get some work done, and did not need my earbuds to listen to music because they play some really cool throwbacks, (think Michael Jackson, 80s, 90s). Not overcrowded, so I could really hear myself think!!! Also, 2 hour street parking. And, the owner is also the bomb too! Extremely nice and energetic; she made sure that what I was ordering I was going to like. Ask any questions, and she's your girl.

I ordered a small cappuccino but this is a cup of milk

This place is probably great for a snickerdoodle Reece's cup pumpkin spice vanilla bean syrup iced latte. Not really the place where you should expect them to make a traditional drink properly. I was also impartial to the decor and all the blue lives matter flags. The ladies behind the counter were not particularly inviting, service was fine

    Is there parking?

There is street parking on both sides of Washington Street and a municipal lot behind the establishment as well

We wanted to be somewhere by 8am, so that worked for us. 2) They have a parking lot, just past the intersection, after the building on Water Street. Okay, this was more of a bonus for us, at least initially, but when I got there and saw the streets around them, I even more appreciated it. There's also an entry from the parking lot, but it isn't particularly clearly marked. I read about it on someone else's review, and got there first, so I had time to meander. But is the metal staircase closest to the sidewalk. There was a single waitress, which meant service wasn't the quickest. But she was nice and knew her regular by name. The booths had clear plastic (or glass... I didn't touch them to verify) dividers - perhaps due to the pandemic and social distancing, perhaps not, but I liked them and they seemed a part of the original booths, rather then an after thought. We split a sweet and a savory - double strawberry pancakes (3 pancakes with both berries cooked in, and strawberry compote, whipped cream on the side) $12.50, and Granite Street Benedict (with corned beef hash) $14.50. The sweet was surprisingly not too sweet, while the savory was a bit too salty. We weren't hurried along or anything. And they take both cash or credit.

The menu offers a great variety, with a mix of both sweet and savory items, that are able to appease anyone coming in. I always look forward to seeing what new seasonal items they have. I swear theres always something new and appetizing every time we come in. I also really appreciate the sweet server who gifted our party of 6 roses during my friend's bachelorette. We so happened to have our brunch with the bride-to-be on Mother's Day, and despite how busy the staff was, they made an effort to extend kindness and make our friend feel special. I'm not sure how well they would navigate but allergies as there is Nutella and pistachio on menu. I'd be reluctant. Ordered, received coffee pretty quickly but didn't receive food until 12:12 pm....No pressure here. I don't find this message on the table welcoming at all. I definitely don't love it. Welcome but hurry up and leave, lol. It's in poor taste in my opinion. I've never seen this before in a restaurant and probably wouldn't be likely to return given this makes patrons feel rushed and I drove an hour, out of state to visit. It kinda says our time is more valuable than yours when you limit patrons to an hour but give them 20 minutes to eat and eff off. My mom had the garden bene and she really enjoyed it. I had the banana Nutella foster French toast. Portions are really huge. You can easily split them. Lattes are really good too. Our server was very kind and attentive. A little pricy for brunch. Our bill came to 52.50 and I wasn't able to use a visa gift card which was strange. Luckily I had my credit card. Overall it was pretty good. Would I return to feel rushed for expensive brunch, probably not.

The outdoor area is inviting, and inside there's a great mix of low-top tables, high-tops, bar seating, and cozy spots to settle into. Everything feels thoughtfully spread out, and I loved being able to see the open brick oven and activity in the kitchen. The space also has a bit of a bakery/café vibe, making it feel like a place where you could stop in for a quick grab-and-go item or stay awhile for a full meal. The staff made a great impression too. The people at the front were incredibly helpful to my guest, who was having some trouble with their phone. I also ordered one of the specialty drinks but asked for it without alcohol. The bartender absolutely nailed it--it was so good that my only complaint was that it didn't come in a bigger glass. For food, I had the grass-fed burger and fries (see photo), and it exceeded my expectations. The burger was so juicy and flavorful that I ended up cutting it into pieces just to make it manageable. Every bite was delicious. What I appreciate most is that I left feeling like I hadn't even experienced everything the restaurant has to offer. I already want to go back, choose a different seat, and enjoy a completely different perspective of the space. Honestly, it feels like the perfect place to spend a rainy afternoon. This is your sign, visit now!
