Came for a quick breakfast and coffee on a Friday morning. Street parking outside was pretty convenient but also looked like there was a parking lot behind the building as well! Located right in Braintree center, The Casual Cup (Kudos to the name) is the best cafe to work, drink coffee (duh), eat some yummy breakfast (Avocado Toast and Smoothies). Stopped in here to get some work done, and did not need my earbuds to listen to music because they play some really cool throwbacks, (think Michael Jackson, 80s, 90s). Not overcrowded, so I could really hear myself think!!! Also, 2 hour street parking. And, the owner is also the bomb too! Immediately fell in love with this place as soon as I ordered! The workers were beyond friendly and made me feel welcomed right away. I struggled a bit to decide what to order but they were patient the entire time and gave their recommendations. The place itself is cozy as well. Plenty of seating, couches, and the walls are decorated with nice art and photos. Felt very clean being in there and it wasn't too loud so I'm sure it'd be a nice spot to get some work done. I will say that my BLT took a while to come but I didn't really mind once I actually ate it. I don't know what it was about it but man it was a good BLT. Unbelievable food and service! The owner of the shop was in at the same time I was, and was so attentive and interactive. I had an amazing time there for the short time that I was, and can not wait to return. Their coffee flavors are brewed straight from the bean and Amy (the owner) was so excited to explain to me what was used in the process of making mine. They charged me more than listed on the menu, and when I asked about it, said "those prices need to be updated". Here on opening day, seems like it will be a nice spot. Staff is very friendly, greeted right upon entry. They need better signage with prices listed. But I got a medium tea and a breakfast sandwich for $5. The sandwich was delicious, and the tea is meh standard. My only complaint is that they need a non coffee selection. I don't drink coffee and was disappointed to see they only had Lipton tea bags and 5-6 boxed herbal tea varieties. I really hope they explore things like chai tea, Thai iced teas, etc or I won't have much of a reason to come back. All in all, I hope to see them grow their offerings for customers. I found this place a couple months ago and the first couple times we tried it was incredible! Sandwiches , coffee everything. The last two times it has been horrible, the sandwiches were fine but the coffees were disgusting. This last time, I ordered a Jamaican me crazy with extra caramel drizzle and it tasted like dirty water mixed with oil. No coffee flavor not even caramel, just plain nasty. And I am not exaggerating. If you're going to be a coffee shop, you need to have coffee. I went today and was told that I had to order decaf, coconut, or s'mores flavor because they had run out of regular beans. Seriously? I don't drink decaf, because caffeine a feature, not a bug. And both coconut and s'mores are gross, but coconut is grosser so I took the saccharine s'more-flavor (because I was meeting someone and this was their choice of place and couldn't go elsewhere.) The set up of the cafe was fine and comfortable, not too crowded or noisy. I wasn't there for food so I can't say one way or the other on that. On April 25, 22 I discovered this lovely coffee shop on 911 Washington St, Braintree, MA . Its become the Comfy Cozy coffee shop I've grown to love in 3 short days and will be my forever coffee shop. Unassuming with excellent coffee (Downeast brand out of RI) and breakfast sandwiches. (they have a lunch menu as well). I can sit relax in comfort and read while having my breakfast. The interior design is a warm welcome and pleasantly states chillax awhile no one is rushing you. On a Main Street, but once inside I feel right at home. Love the big oversized brown sofa against the back wall. So nice to have found this spot. read more

It's a great place to meetup with friends and to make new friends!! Amy and Anthony are friendly and hospitable. Amy knows my dad, one of my friends (my study buddy as this is where we meet as my buddy loves it more than I do), and myself by name. It's a great feeling!! Very cute and cozy coffeeshop and a great addition to Braintree. I had the ghost pepper flavored coffee (called fireball), just a hint of spice, interesting and delicious. Would highly recommend this place. I like that the flavor coffees are roasted and not made with syrup. No added sugar, the lady at the front also told me she uses a farm honey in some of the roasts, very nice. Will be coming back! I think they should get new cups though, they are generic gas truck cups with no logos. read more

This place is exactly what I was looking for when I moved to Braintree . They have Several alternative milks like Oat and make a great cappuccino. Breakfast sandwiches are to die for with options like Asiago bagels and Provolone cheeses and fantastic Bacon. Big leather couches and lots of comfy seating. Beautiful decor. I really wanted to like this place and support a local small business. I have held off on reviewing it because I feel bad giving a small business a bad review. But I've tried four times & each time I was disappointed. The first time I tried a salad with grilled chicken. I brought it home and actually weighed the chicken because I was dieting. It was 2 ounces. For the 10.95 that I was charged I expect a little bit more. The second time I went I got an iced coffee. I had to wait quite a while for my order and when I tried the coffee it tasted watery. I left and went to Starbucks. The third time I tried a tuna sandwich. It was mediocre it tasted very basic- tuna on bread. I love açaí bowls & was driving by and saw a sign for them So I thought I would give it one last try. I get açai bowls often at other places so I know what I should've received. I got it to go & was surprised when I opened the bowl. First it was smaller in size than anywhere else I've got them. Second it was purple liquid with a small amount of fruit & a spoonful of peanut butter floating in it. Every time I've ordered an açai bowl it comes with frozen açai on the bottom and whatever you want on the top. For $12.95 (which is more than the ones in downtown Boston) I expected more. The atmosphere is cute. The service is not great (teens who don't seem fully trained). I don't mind spending a lot on food if it's good & enjoyable but I feel the prices are high for what you get.
