The coffee (I ordered a latte) was disappointingly weak, so that is a major factor in this 3 star review. I generally expect a nice coffee shop to have rich and flavorful coffee, especially if my order is for an espresso or latte, etc. In my takeout order (the place really is tiny!) I also ordered a spinach croissant (which was small, and did not have much seasoning or flavor when compared to all the other spinach croissants I have eaten) and a chicken pastelito. The total cost was NOT cheap--nearly $15! The pastelito was warm, and although it was tasty, it was not extraordinary--much less heavenly! So this first experience with Toma Toma was not as special as I had anticipated, nor indeed as I had wanted. Nice little place, and very kind owner, but I would recommend the Alchemist Bakery in Canton over Toma Toma, ten times out of ten, as they have better coffee, better prices and infinitely better pastries!

It's a pretty simple spot, but they have a relatively big menu for a cute little neighborhood spot. You can get everything from ice cream and acai bowls to pastries and breakfast classics. There's nothing too crazy or creative about their offerings, but everything I've tried has been tasty. My go-tos here are the breakfast burrito, smoothies, and the mediterranean avocado toast--and don't sleep on the homemade pop-tarts when they have them! I also almost always grab a latte with one of their many, many flavored syrup options. If you're looking for an upscale city cafe with unique, artisanal offerings, this ain't it. They also have chalk for kids to play on the asphalt and building. Iced coffee was cold brew and was pretty good. The girl behind the register informed before my order that it would be at least a 15 minute wait. So, I ordered just the plain bagel I was craving with their "special" veggie cream cheese. My absolute favorite is the Cinnabon, it comes with a cream cheese frosting dollop that is so good! Most recently I got to try the cinnamon coffee roll which is light and airy and has that same frosting which brings it all together. Flavorful and delicious! My friend and I usually get the southwestern sandwich but we add a soft boiled egg to it which brings the whole thing together for a yummy breakfast. I have also had the sausage egg and cheese on their homemade biscuits. Pro tip- ask for the biscuit to be heated it takes your breakfast sandwich go to the next level of goodness! The only reason I knocked a star is because their baked goods sell out so fast that I usually don't get to try any of the specials. I wish they made more to have them last the entire time they're open. I'm also not a coffee drinker and most of the drinks are coffee based so I do wish they had more non coffee drink options that isn't hot tea. Usually this place is packed with people at every table and lines to the door, the food is worth the wait though! Plus they have Louis Tomlinson playing over their radio here and there which earns them a gold star in my book!
