Unlike most of the contractors that AHS Warranty sends. Aaron Pools did a nice job. Now I know who to ask to service my pool when AHS assigns a technician. If AHS assigns Sunbright, do yourself a favor and tell them to change it to Aaron Pools instead. Sunbright is awful. read more

I have to say that I was blown away with Aaron Pools. When using our warranty company, I've grown accustomed to having mediocre contractors show up...not these guys! The office called to confirm the appointments, the guys called each time to let me know that they were on their way and their friendly, professional and knowledgeable service was a home run for me! I'm glad that I have a pool service that I can call on again when I need it. read more

I will not give this company even 1 star. Our home warranty sent this company to us never thought a good home warranty could work with this company. A technician said that we need a new motor for our spa so they need to order the motor and will call us when the parts arrive and schedule the installation. We never heard from this company for over a month. I called for an update and left several messages but no call back. Finally one day I got a text that a technician is scheduled to install the part with date and time and no need to have someone at home but I took that day off to make sure this gets done. All day I waited with no call no show. I called again and left a message in their voicemail so they re-scheduled the technician. The technician called that his heading his way as I requested. I called my next door neighbor to be present when he arrive in the property. My neighbor and her husband along with her mother in our house waiting for the technician. Buy the way, the gate is open for the technician for him to do his business as stated in the text " The tech. can just install the unit without someone in the house. The technician called me and told me that he went to the house but there was boat and boxes in the area, he couldn't get in so he left. The man decided to leave instead of pushing the empty boxes away from the walk way. Is this laziness or what ever you call it. I asked why didn't you knock in the door, he said that he did for 1/2 an hour but no body answered so he left. Our neighbors said that his lying no one knocks the door and all 3 them can attest it. (2) were waiting for him inside the house and (1) waiting for him outside the the spa. When I was talking to the tech. He was rude . He need an attitude adjustment. He should have been fired. read more

My pump on my pool went out, John from Aaron pools came out this morning. What a professional he was. He was polite, efficient and above all completed the job with customer satisfaction. I highly recommend him. He took his time to explain to me what was wrong, what he did, and what to look for if it were to happen again. Thanks again for being so professional, it is truly appreciated. read more

Aaron Pools selected by home warranty for a pool motor replacement. Good: Aaron Pools replaced the motor in a decent time frame, easy to schedule. Bad: After the motor replacement our pool guy noticed a swollen/ broken o-ring sticking through the plastic housing/ motor interface area into the skim basket zone. We notified our home warranty company who called Aaron Pools back out and we got recharged a service fee. A recharge service fee was applied for the tech to say that the o-ring wasn't needed, that he didn't need to replace it and that it didn't affect the functionality of the pool pump. He then said the pool pump is so old (and less desirable model in general) that they don't make the o-rings anymore and you can't find/ buy them. None of this was on his report back to the home warranty company. So we got stuck with the recharge service fee as home warranty company didn't get the real reason for calling out them again. Owner of company not helpful, claims they weren't working around that part of pump and that the o-ring doesn't matter, but we still owe the service fee since we called them out (through the home warranty company). 1. Owner was not helpful in resolving the issue, actually kind of rude on phone. 2. The o-rings are available online and are actively sold for this model. I ordered one already and our pool guy also said he can order it easily. If the o-ring was not needed then Aaron Pools just needed to report that to home warranty company for 2nd visit. read more

Tyler is knowledgeable and professional! So glad our warranty company referred us to Aaron Pools!

My home warranty company called this company out to replace a salt cell. Based on my experience, I think this company uses underhanded tactics to double up on its service fees from the home warranty company--which also doubles up my fees, of course. Read below, and use the lesson here to be careful with your dealings with them. I had them out to replace a salt cell under the home warranty. That weekend the heater for the spa refused to function properly. I asked Aaron Pools about it and I was told that since it's a heater problem they cannot do anything about it unless I submit a separate home warranty claim specific to the heater. I did so and told the home warranty people that I believe the incidents are related and also told the Aaron Pools scheduler that the incidents are likely related. When the Aaron Pools looked at the pool again, I was told that a "heater bypass valve" was cranked the wrong way and that I just shouldn't ever mess with that valve. Of course, I did not mess with that valve--never have--it says "heater bypass valve" and until then the heater was working great (used it twice in the month before the service without issue), so why would I move it? I pointed out that the only person who would have moved that was the technician who replaced the salt cell, so please don't charge me for the second service. He said that he came out to service, so that's that--the charge was earned (and blamed me for turning the valve, of course--"do you have a video of [AP technician] turning it?"). I submitted a complaint to the BBB and the owner of Aaron Pools said "We did not charge you for any return visit, the home warranty company has determined that a salt cell claim and a heater claim are separate issues. Therefore the home warranty company charged an additional service fee." Of course, this is false--Aaron Pools told me to submit the heater claim--the home warranty company does not care if Aaron Pools fixed the problems causes without charging extra. The owner suggested that the home warranty company would likely waive the charge. I called the home warranty company and was told that it cannot waive the charge because it prepays the service companies when each claim comes in. Obviously Aaron Pools knew that the service fee would not be waived. This is when I realized what I think is probably really going on: A little tweak by a technician on an unprofitable home warranty call--a tweak that the homeowner doesn't know how to fix is an easy way to get a second call out to fix another problem and "earn" another service fee. The owner of Aaron Pools claims that his company is not prepaid for service calls. At this point, however, I frankly do not believe this statement. It directly conflicts with what I was told by the home warranty company, and of the two Aaron Pools has displayed greater dishonesty. The lesson for everyone else now is: when something goes wrong after and Aaron Pools service, first look for some easy fix. Second, do not allow them to pressure you into a second claim--it's the same claim if it resulted from Aaron Pools own actions. (Side note, it is theoretically possible that the initial cranking of the heater bypass valve was done innocently by the first technician in order to reduce flow to take the salt cell out of the water circuit, and then forgot to turn it back. But I don't think so, because (1) the owner of the company was dishonest with me--dishonesty appears to be a company policy, (2) if the technician knew enough to crank it out of the way, he'd know enough to crank it back, (3) an honest company would not charge for fixing that, and (4) the heater technician said bypassing the water circuit with the salt cell in it would be mostly ineffective.) I'm giving two stars rather than one because, although dishonest with me on more than one occasion, they did actually switch out the salt cell properly (eventually--it took two tries, the first one they installed either came cracked, or it cracked under load because of the manner in which the technician turned the valves). read more

showed up without a mask for a home warranty claim. Very arrogant. We have have a fairly expensive custom pool. The heater pump has a leak. Without doing any testing, he proceeds to tell me that the water chlorination system is all wrong......that when he owned a company that had over 900 service accounts (he must be insecure because he repeated this half dozen times) he saw this all the time. His diagnosis goes against the two other companies who actually inspected the pump. When I questioned him he went off on an animated 5 minute explanation that didn't make any sense to me. I wouldn't trust this guy with anything. Stay away read more

If I could choose a negative rating I would. They have been to my home a few times because they are the first auto generated company my home warranty uses. Every time they have been here the tech has NEVER fixed the problem! One time to fix a leak the tech used super glue, YES, super glue on the O rings. Granted it worked for about a week. Then another company came out & replaced the O rings & lubricant was used instead & replace the lid that had been damaged due to the super glue. Another time the tech told me the leak we were looking at was normal & did nothing. Well again another pool company came about about 10 days later & replaced all the warped parts that had been over heating due to the leak, that was "normal". Today the tech came out because this time the motor is no longer working at all. Gave me my options & told me it would cost me another $100. I chose the refurbished motor & he left to go get it. I called the warranty co. because I was concerned about the motor coming up to code. The warranty co. assured me there was no oop$ to me. When the tech returned I was still on the phone with warranty co. & again was told NO oop$ to me. The tech explained the code laws to me, I told him to go ahead with the repair & he got in his vehicle & left!!!!! I waited ~half hr & called Aaron pools, surprise no answer. I called the warranty co. & they said the tech called them & told them I declined the service & wanted a "buy out for service". I had no idea what that was until today! Thank you Alex for explaining that to me, didn't know you were going to use it to lie about me. He told the warranty co. a COMPLETE lie. He knew I was having a big pool party this weekend too!!!! After what everybody has been through in the past year there were a lot of people looking forward to this weekend. Now will have to cancel. Thank you Aaron Pools, you are the worst ever!!!!!!!! Hope you all have a fabulous 4th, you deserve it just like the rest of us. So damn glad you are not part of my family owned business!!! read more

my pool motor was out of warranty. Shasta was very expensive, double the service charge compared to Aaron's. Stetson came over and inspected our problem. He was polite and professional. He fixed our issue and then said he noticed a small leak and would need to return later with a new part. An hour later he was back with Daniel. They took about a half hour and now everything works great. Total charge was $150.00. Eureka, I have found my pool company for life. You can trust this company. Ask for Stetsen. Thank you Stetsen and Daniel, great job. Sincerely Bob and Maria Atanasio read more

I called to schedule weekly pool service, and was told a technician would be out Friday between 11 and 2. No one had shown up by 4, so I called the office and was told he was running behind schedule and would call when he was on his way. No one ever called. I called today to cancel any possible future service, and didn't even get an apology for the no call, no show. I would definitely not recommend this company. read more

I recently moved into our house and was faced with maintaining and fixing the pool. The storms have been destroying the pool and the previous pool guys havent been helpful in a lot of cases. This pool was put together like shit and unfortunately I'm the one eating said shit now. After a summer AZ monsoon destroyed my pool motor, I called Aaron Pools and they had Tyler come out and help me. He not only helped install the new motor in the brutal heat (with my pain in the ass golden retriever running around him) but walked me through the measures to take to prevent its demise from a storm again, timeframes on cleaning/fixing the filters, things to look for I wasn't aware of, and gave me his number so if I have any questions he can try to help over the phone so I don't have to make & pay for a full appointment. I cannot say enough how big of a pain in the ass this pool is even before the storms so I'm really happy with the help and additional service Tyler provided us. read more

Used them originally through Home Warranty to replace a pool pump and the work was done satisfactorily. They said they processed our rebate and warranty paperwork for the pump. However, when we called requesting service for the same pump that stopped working, they were rude and difficult. The person who answered the call only referenced their 30 day warranty and would not listen to our question about servicing the pump for the manufacturer warranty. Even if it is outside of the warranty period, the pump needs to be fixed and you should earn the business. Happy to find another company who actually listens to the customer's request. read more

Brand new filter today thanks to John with Aaron Pools. Pump went out and home warranty company sent a different pool company who came out and told us the crack in our filter was due to high pressure from dirty grids and they wouldnt cover the repair. Beware!!! Aaron pools is contracted with many of the home warranty companies. When you make a service call to your warranty company for pool repair do yourself a favor and make sure it is NOT AARON POOLS. I have been a professional realtor over 20 years I hear a lot complaints about them. From my personal experience their technician was rude and had a bad attitude. He was at my house for 5 minutes to tell me that the warranty company will not cover a loud pump motor which is going bad until it is completely stopped. He also said that they will not cover a broken handle on the valves because they are turning. I asked him if he checked with the warranty office and they said that he doesn't have to do it because he knows. Never again!!!! I'm going to get my repairs done and it is certainly NOT going to be by Aaron pools. read more

Since when does a technician bring their 6/7 year old with him on the property in the pool area of a residential repair in 110 degree heat twice. The second time when we asked the technician to remove the child from our property (because it's a homeowners liability) the technician started cussing at us and got in our face (WE HAVE VIDEO IF THE COMPANY EVEN CARES, WHICH I DOUBT THEY DO). He also lied to his company and our warranty company saying the display was out, when in fact that same technician was out 2 days prior and supposedly fix the problem. They said I would receive a call with a time frame window when someone would be coming. I had a missed call from the technician he had just called as he arrived at my house he rang the doorbell and woke up my wife who is sick. My wife called me to tell me he was there I was very upset that he showed up without making arrangements for me to come home to meet him. My wife then handed the technician her phone to speak to me, he said he didn't know what he was there for but he would check things out. My wife said he went back to the pump for a couple of minutes then out to his truck and never came back she had to go out to his truck looking for him to see if he was coming back to fix something he was sitting in his truck so she knocked on his window and asked if he was coming back and he said no I'll leave the paperwork under your front mat. Hopefully the work you need done is routine and simple. My warranty company assigned Aaron Pools to repair my caretaker, but the technician took almost a full month to actually do the repairs. Meanwhile each night my pump runs and leaks water in my back yard! Fast forward six months, guess what's leaking again? My regular pool guy inspects it to find that the repair was not done correctly: the pipes were cut at an angle so they could not be properly sealed. I called Aaron Pools to ask about this, and the rep said she'd call the tech and took my info for a callback. Six days later, still no callback. I call again, getting a different rep. Explain the situation, and she advised because the work was six months ago it's not covered under their warranty and a new ticket needs to be opened. Their labor is only covered for 30 days, and parts for 90. I'm sure had I watched it more closely I would've noticed it sooner but it's just a shame I have to have the exact same work done and buy a new caretaker yet again, just six months later. Like I said, perhaps if the service you need is easy and routine they are fine; but for more serious repairs I'm not confident they have the skills to execute -- and they've not done anything to convince me otherwise. read more

As many said, this contractor is not your friend, instead they team up with those warranty companies to get your claim denied. They spent 5 minutes and find excuses to cause the warranty company to deny your claim. Instead of providing honest service like other pool guys in the valley, they choose to stand behind the warranty companies to collect the pathetic 70 bucks service fee. They do have one or two good guys who are at least nice to talk with, but for anything related to warranty, you will not get them. The WORST pool company in the valley. I'll spare the long awful history and sum it up. They are liars, deceitful and actually hateful. They went out of their way to deny a claim to our Home Warranty to replace a filter that split. Funny part was it spit b/c they installed the plumbing incorrectly and caused the split. They did not want to pay to clean up their mess so they lied to the Home Warranty. We spent over 2 months fighting this. My pool is black, and destroyed. We had a technician from Aaron Pools come out to conduct home warranty repair on our pool today 4/16/2020. We received the worst service we have had in a long time from any company. First, when we set the appointment we requested the tech wear a mask due to the Coronavirus health risk. He showed up with no mask on. His attitude was terrible. Seemed angry to have to be doing the job. He replaced the timer but did not spend any time explaining to my wife how it works. He informed us the pool filler float valve was not working and said he could replace it but it would not be covered. We agreed to pay the charge to replace it. He was supposed to service the pool light which does not work. We showed him where the switch and electrical box for the light was but he said that was not it. We have owned the home for 20 years and we know where the switch for the light is. He went to an electrical box in another location which has been unused for anything since we owned the home. He opened it and then said this was why the pool light doesn't work. He argued with us when we repeatedly told him that this has never been associated with the light. He left after we paid for the uncovered float valve. I called their customer service to complain and was told the manager would call me back. I get a call from an abrasive asshole who claimed to be the owner. This ass wouldn't let me speak. Talked over me each time I tried to explain the problem and then called me a moron. When I complained about the fact the tech had no mask on as we requested he said the tech is not a mind reader and we should have requested him to wear a mask. When I told him again that we had requested that with the scheduler he shouted me down and didn't care. This company is unsafe to do business with. The tech had a terrible attitude and the owner - if that is who he really is - is a loudmouth asshole who apparently doesn't care about his company's reputation. Do not use Aaron Pools for any work. read more

One star is more than these guys deserve. After my original review I sent a message to Aaron Pools through their "contact us" form. Below is the response I received from them (I removed last names): Dear Becky, We have no idea who you are or who you think you are judging our company who has been in business for over 35 years...you are not our customer. Mr. A. is who we have been "dealing" with because HE is our customer and with whom you should perhaps show this letter to...he can contact us to dispute anything contained in this correspondence. Mr. A. had an appointment for us to replace the grids in the filter at 2939 E. Bonanza Road, Gilbert, AZ. HE is the one who cancelled the appointment so he could research the grid cost and find them at a lesser cost to him. He did find grids and advised us he would drop the grids off early the week of May 7th but that he would call us to advise us when he in fact had dropped the grids off. About the only thing you did agree with our office staff is that he did not drop them off until the afternoon of May 10 and when he called us that day he expected an appointment immediately. We advised him we could not guarantee somebody out there as our schedule was full but we would try to get somebody there that day or Friday. He was aware that we were booking at that time for the following week. If he had dropped the grids off earlier in the week as he had advised us he would we would have been able to get this resolved before the weekend of May 12/13, 2012. We realize Mr. A. is busy, as are we, but we cannot make him find the time to drop them off as he had expected. Additionally, your pool is cloudy at worse, not green. If these filters had been taken care of as set on OUR ORIGINAL TIME FRAME APPOINTMENT before Mr. A. cancelled to look for grids on his own, you would not be having this problem created by the grids not being authorized by Mr. Angelotti for us to handle. It is understandable that home owners are trying to cut back on expenses but we cannot take the heat for that situation. You really need to take this up with Mr. A. If he has told you anything other than as we are stating above, I would challenge that statement! billing@aaronpools.com Aaron Pools, Inc. 480-839-9041 What they don't know is that our landlord is one of our closest friends and everything he tells me is the truth. Absolutely the WORST pool company that I have EVER had to deal with. The customer service is horrible. After leaving many messages over the course of a few weeks I was only able to contact them when I called them AGAIN. I asked to speak with the actual pool tech who initially came to my house. The RUDE lady on the phone told me that she was more than capable to answer my questions - about a pump that SHE HAS NOT SEEN, and about a conversation I had with the tech THAT SHE DID NOT HEAR. I was assigned to them by my home warranty company, and I will be filing a serious complaint with them and the BBB. I was told to take the cash out option from the warranty company for the part and then they would do the work and I could just pay them directly. After I received the cash out and called to schedule the appointment I was told that I need to replace the entire pool pump system and that would cost an additional $400 and that there was an electrical problem and that it would cost additional money as well. I was then told that the salt cell that I need is no longer on the market, even though I was able to find them on Amazon. This is the reason that I am STILL trying to discuss my options with the tech who ACTUALLY SAW MY POOL AND THE PUMP. If you don't want to be scammed or jacked around with USE ANOTHER POOL COMPANY. read more
