I was not given the opportunity before the new charges to understand, they just showed up on the billing. Not a happy camper. Final pre-resolution update. I find it bizarre that an individual who was adamant that I not let Leslie's know that they had mistakenly given me a $200 part for free (I questioned the warranty transfer and while Leslie's said I was due the part Aaron explained at length why I wasn't but told me "don't sweat it, Leslie's is a big company,") alleges and infers I was out to take advantage of a small company. I have zero desire to take advantage of anyone, and I also have zero desire to let anyone take advantage of me. I do know that it is not uncommon for those guilty of something but not wanting to admit it to deflect and distract. And if one reads what I wrote vs. what Aaron did, along with some appalling grammar and spelling (including my name) there are a lot of personal attacks and unfounded accusations. All I will say at this juncture is that I repeatedly tried to resolve this amicably and reasonably, I was not ecstatic about the work, I hoped despite some hiccups that it was solid, a LOT of my own time has been wasted on this (which certainly feels like I was and am being taken advantage of, because I'm not ok with the current state of what's in my yard as a result of this "company," and I am 100% not ok with them sending someone I've never met to do work they don't guarantee, explain or support,) and at this point I wish I'd dealt with a bigger company in the first place. Note-I wouldn't have been at Leslie's in the first place hunting down the part if the tech from Cool Pool's had had the part he promised. And after a third trip to Leslie's by yours truly (and another conversation with them about the warrantied part bc I wanted to be sure the employee who supposedly mistakenly comped me the part didn't get in hot water bc it retails for $200) I really was at my wits end literally working for the pool company who was supposedly doing a job for me. It benefits no one to let those who don't honor agreements and cut corners get a free pass to charge (and take!) whatever they want while refusing to guarantee their work or even communicate respectfully with the customer. read more

Just parted ways with this company, after 5 years. Price increases and service decreases were part of the issue, but twice they shut down my pool (turned of circuit breakers) for what they deemed an unsafe situation. Because we were out of the country, a neighbor fixed the issue, and the company did it again. My guidance to service manager was that if the tech thought it was unsafe, just walk away, do not do a partial service. But he did, and left my pool switched off again. We now spend less and get more from another company, with several options to choose from. Avoid Cool Pools if you can. read more

From my first contact with the office everyone was personable and professional, David came out for my service call. He was commutative about when he would arrive and was right in the window the office had given. After being a custom home builder for over 30 years I am sadly underwhelmed with service these days. Just to summarize without a lengthy review, my water bill spiked out of control for no reason. After reaching out to Aaron late on a Sunday night, he was here first thing Monday to help. Not only did he find a slight issue with the pool that may have been contributing, he stayed and walked me through all of the different water sources around my house & tried to help find the underlying issue. Unfortunately Cool Pools could not help me with my specific pool issue (pebble tec repair), yet they were instrumental in solving my problem. They immediately told me they could not help with my repair but instead of rushing to get me off the phone, they referred me to another company. I was referred to Cool Pools by a good friend of mine to get a second opinion on some repairs that my other provider quoted over 2k on. The owner Aaron came over personally to review my pool pump which had some leaks. AVOID COOL POOLS SERVICE & REPAIR: After in excess of 10 years with Cool Pools providing their services (or so I thought) to my pool, I caught one of the techs coming in and out of my property without touching my pool. This was also caught on my neighbor's security camera. Myself and my two neighbors' pools were completely ignored on that fateful day.
