Was a potential new customer and I setup an appointment to have a pool drained over a month in advance. At the time of the initial consultation, was told that I would receive an arrival window the evening prior. That never happened. The morning of the day that they were supposed to come out I was contacted via text to confirm that today was still a good day, to which I responded "yes". I later received another text asking me about my salt levels, which I promptly responded to. I was then informed that I would receive a text message when the technician was on his way. That's where things really went downhill. It wasn't until I saw the sun setting behind the neighbor's house that I realized that a) they were not going to show up today, and that b) they didn't respect my time enough to let me know this fact. I rearranged my schedule for them, they couldn't care less evidently. I reached out to let them know that I was very unhappy and not to bother trying to reschedule me. You'd think after this that an apology over the phone might have been offered, or even a simple reply to the text message saying "We're sorry this happened". Nope. 1st when moving into my new house I'm renting, the pool was not in good shape at all & had told the property manager about the pool before moving in. A half ass job was done which led to my husband using a mop along the sides of the pool to clean off the green from the pebble tech June of 2024. 2nd - we have cameras on the outside of our house on majority of the house & our pool tech seems to always stare at the cameras once on the premise. Video shows him FaceTiming someone with his phone in one hand and the pool brush in the other and counted him give a poor effort scrub 15x in random portions of my pool then just leave. Mind you, he hadn't put any chemicals in the pool for at least a few weeks because our floating tab dispenser majority of the time was empty (when there are tabs put in it on Mondays when it's serviced, by Friday they're almost gone) so when I check the dispenser on a Tuesday and it's empty, I know he did not add chlorine. 3rd absolutely nobody at this company can take accountability and accept responsibility for the pool techs poor service and they are so sure that he has and is the best.... Sure is the best when it comes to not cleaning a small pool which is probably one of the easier ones on his route. Makes me wonder how a big pool gets treated the same which wouldn't surprise me. But, after complaining to them about my pool being green for weeks on end and my husband and I having to brush it ourselves multiple times a week with green clouds being scrubbed we were told basically that we're over reacting and it'll be taken care of. 4th when he came the next Monday to shock the pool like we requested he did just that and left in 5-8min. Then had to come back the next day because the pool wasn't back washed. Which when he does dirt and sand gets all over our side walk out back that we continually keep spotless & is easily avoidable. Day 2 when he came back, he had to also reshock the pool due to the backwash canceling the prior days chemicals, he must've been a little moody because the only blind spot from cameras on our side yard we have 2 hooks we installed on the wall to hang our pool rod/skimmer & brush. I had notice the rod was only on one hook and the side with the net on the rod was on the ground. After approaching the pool rod I noticed 1 of the 2 hooks was severely bent down at a aggressive angle which it was windy so in my mind I wanted to think one wouldn't do that so tried bending it back and it won't go back the same & let me tell you. It wasn't necessarily easy to bend back strength wise which proved to me that is was bent by a human and with force. These are industrial strength hooks and they do not bend easily at all being the reason we chose them. We were accused of making accusations against Pink Dolphin and the lady was beyond rude in her email he would never and we should never make something up like that..... Really? Do you think anyone has time in their day to damage their own property they spent money on to not even ask for any discounts, just a REGULAR POOL SERVICE!!! Yet, we are still the baaa'aaad guys for letting them know how their company is being represented by the poor job if any jobs done pool tech they send to our house. Only reason for 2 stars is the people who answer the phone are professional and friendly. We are supposed to get weekly pool service. We are told our guy comes really early so while we sometimes think he hasn't come we are told he has logged coming and has sent pictures to verify? Well he clearly hadn't been here for WEEKS I saw a spot of algae and then another and then eventually the bottom of the pool was covered. I called and was told our guy was on vacation last week (so I guess that means you just don't get service) however I explained it had been several weeks given the condition of the pool. They stated that he has logged visits every week but last week and even sent pictures ? That cannot be right. The first spot of algae never left and there have been more every week. Regardless - the CS rep said, don't worry you are on his schedule to come today. So I get home from work about 7pm and this is what I find..... very frustrating. Update! While I was very disappointed and frustrated with my service- I was directly contacted by the company after hours. They apologized for the situation- agreed to place a new technician on my account- get the pool in shape today and to in general do better. I tend to judge the value of a company not only by their shortcomings but more by how they respond to issues. Let's face it- anyone can hire a bad employee- taking accountability and making it right is what matters. I came home from another long day of work with a beautiful sparkling clean pool. Our pool suddenly turned green. Called pink Dolphen and they said they would be by in the afternoon. They showed up at 5 pm and had already started fixing the algae issue. The pool was also low and they were filling it. After approx 30 minutes the pool was looking good. These are wonderful people. We ended up needing a new filter as well. read more

In the last year their quality of service has deteriorated to a point they can no longer be trusted to clean or treat my pool. When I went out to swim in my pool over the weekend I found my pool water green my vacuum hose rotted to a non-useable condition and my filter was turned off. I only use my pool when my grandchildren are at my home, but that is why I pay a pool service to keep my pool in a condition to use when I need it. When I called the Owner of Pink Dolphin she told me it was my fault that that pool was green and placed no fault on her service person or her company. My experience to start was a bumpy one. My first scheduled appointment was set for the wrong day pushing it back one week. Then, the "technician" came as scheduled. Took out my light fixture and in the process tried using my pool pole/brush as leverage snapped it off (the pool brush). At the time, just to get the light up and going, i was already expecting to pay the $450 to replace the bad fixture and bulb. But, the guy didn't even bring one to be replaced so i evicting have to schedule ANOTHER appointment. After doing my research, i found light fixtures that averaged around $200 or less. So i decided to do it myself. I called to ask for a replacement brush the guy said he'd bring when he returned to do the light and the lady informed me he would bring one by after the holiday. Nobody ever came to my door or contacted me to let me know it had been placed on the side gate that's rarely used. Let alone gave me a brush that's already cracked. I know mine was "used" but im not the one that broke it. Im in the customer service industry and if i break something in a customer's house, it gets replaced with something brand new or close it. I wouldn't recommend this company simply based off the brush incident alone and how it was handled. read more

I had a great experience with them. I am not a regular customer and was concerned that they would not help me with my pool pump problem. I was very pleasantly surprised. They came out in 1-2 days and would have been sooner except the service tech had an illness in the family. The service tech looked and acted like a pool service professional. He had the problem diagnosed and fixed in 30 minutes. I had other local pool service companies come out for this same problem. Wow, what a fantastic job Mike and Steve O did with my repair. I was looking for a reputable company online and although I found a few companies I thought would be good, I kept finding myself going back to Pink Dolphin and mainly due to their reviews from other customers. I just felt more comfortable and confident that I wouldn't be taken advantage of and that the repairs needed would be truly what's needed. I called a Pink Dolphin on a Monday, they were out to my house 2 days later (they could have come out the following day but I had work and wanted to be present for it). Once Mike showed up, he took the time to share with me information about my pool as well as the repairs itself. He provided a few different options and then, the owner (Steve R) wrote up and sent me an estimate which they did later that day only hours after the visit. Wow, call that quick customer service. I was given two options and of course chose the higher of the two simply because I needed it. I was at no time pressured to take the higher priced bid, but did so because I am the type who wants long term solutions and not bandages. Once approved via online platform, they scheduled their visit only 3 business days later (again very quick service). They arrived today and really took the time again to show me a few more things I didn't know about my pool and as you can see from the photos I attached, really did a fantastic job with the Header replacement and valve replacement. They even painted the piping all one color and re-labeled everything for me. Going that extra effort really shows a lot with about a company. At no time did I feel pushed into a decision or pressured to pick a higher bid and that's what made me feel more comfortable than what I already was based upon other customer reviews from yelp as well as FB and so forth. When I have to have something done, I really do my due diligence in properly vetting a company out before committing myself to one company. By far the best choice I have made going with this company and they will get my service for all future repairs! Very unhappy with service over the past 2 years (2020 thru 2021). Used Pink Dolphin to service 2 of my rental houses. Since Covid, they never supplied chlorine tablets yet charged an extra $10 per month for the extra cost of chlorine. I supplied keys for all gates yet when they had to switch the person that was servicing the houses, they could not get in and would not service. I was never notified and therefore pool turned immediately green after 3 weeks of non service. When I confronted "Ashley", I was told it's better that we just stop servicing. I requested my money back from the non service weeks and stopped even getting acknowledged from anyone at Pink Dolphin. It's just not the same service company that was offered when this company first started. The newer buyers that purchased the company a couple of years ago do not live up to the same service standards that I originally signed up for. This is an expensive service not to be given chlorine tablets. The liquid chlorine evaporates so quickly during the summer that you will be at a 0 PH level by the time the service the pool again the following week. That being the case, you need to hope service is never delayed or skipped. I would not recommend this company to anyone as there are plenty of other options who can send you detailed weekly reports and who offer to service with chlorine tablets. I feel Pink Dolphin is trying to pull as much profit as they can with each serviced house that they will cut corners to save time and money. Just beware of what you are receiving for service with Pink Dolphin! *** UPDATE*** Sorry if $100 per month is "cheap" as I expect that I would at least get service that I am paying for. All repairs were made on the pool and equipment and there was NEVER a time that I turned down repairing any part of the pool (just maybe through Pink Dolphin doing the service every time). You can say what you want but I have plenty of documentation to support what I say. The whole reason to have pool service on a rental is to make sure the pool is not messed up and to say that I'm too "cheap" to fix or service it correctly is completely inaccurate on your part. If I could only do more to inform more customers to beware... If $100 was $20 less than everyone else, I don't deserve to have any less of a service level because my $100 is not worth your time. I've used Pink Dolphin since 2013 and it's only with the newer owners that took over the business that I seem to have a problem being too "cheap". I guess it's true, you get what you pay for! And note, just because you can't get chlorine tablets from 1 place, doesn't mean they are not available. Try Leslie's as they have plenty to sell pool companies like yourself. read more

I called on a Friday, they came and inspected my setup that Monday and I had a new state of the art pool pump perfectly installed by noon on Tuesday. The installer, Mike went above and beyond fixing some incidental things as well and they painted all my piping to match the color of the new pump. As well as labeling all the plastic pipes and throughly showing me how to work the new digital controls. Also paying and getting the two rebates was made seamless and all done online.
