Update: Vince did finally reach out to me only after this review was posted. Not once did Vince acknowledge his companies shortcomings. Actually, when he reached out he only offered a solution of still waiting through the weekend to have them service the pool even though I told him the pool was green all week. If you want to deal with someone that has no backup business plans or anyone assigned to communicate with you while they are "out on vacation" with no one to get in touch with as an alternative when their company isn't doing their job - this is what you will get by hiring them. Full review below. Original Post: The company is non responsive and unreliable. We purchased a new home and they were supposed to come out to complete a pool service that was prepaid for by the previous owner. I attempted multiple times prior to the already scheduled appointment to reach Vince on his phone number to introduce myself as a their potential new customer and ask questions. Not only did a technician never show up for the already paid and scheduled service, Vince never picked up the phone a single time, never answered my voicemails, and never replied to any of my texts. We were also informed by the previous owner that they hadn't come out the week prior b/c they were unable to come out due to the monsoon rain that had happened and this service was actually to make up for it. Outrageous! I have never heard of a company skipping servicing a pool b/c rain happened. Most pool companies kick in to high gear when rain happens in the summers as they know this messes up the pool. So now the pool has been at minimum 2 weeks without service and is starting to green. I can't even begin to imagine how they would treat a customer with an urgent matter. Lost a customer before they even had one. Do not recommend. read more

Mike was totally awesome. I made several pool companies looking for an acid clean service. Mike took the time to explain why an acid clean why this isn't the best way to go with my pool. Instead he recommended the chlorine wash as the better alternative. It was explained the an acid wash was intended for 1-time. Luckily I had the pool drained ahead of time. Mike discovered a little algae at the deep end of pool that was thoroughly cleaned. Mike also cleaned the tile around the pool and did an excellent job. Mike also had came back with the starting chemicals for a new bath. Mike's price was great and I will be a repeat customer in the future If you are looking for a pool person who knows what they are doing and will not take you to the ringers, CALL MIKE! read more

I haven't been a long term customer but when I say they took care of my pool in only two visits, they really took care of it! I couldn't rely on my old pool guy anymore- I'd ask how to turn on the vacuum and would get ignored but not with AZpools- my kid really loves the water, and I just couldn't see us swimming in it in the state it was in. they took over and handled it professionally in only 2 visits so far. They were coming every week for about 3 weeks and I tried to pay for the service with one of the guys who came out and he said to ask Vince for an invoice. I tried getting an invoice and never received one. I tried contacting him this past week as it's the end of the month. He never contacted me back. He didn't show up for the last week either. Alan gave a complete and accurate estimate of the work to be done. Love that the demo, tile, plastering and cool deck was all in house. It took longer than anticipated because the concrete tile guy came up with a great waterfall and jump rock design. We could not be happier with the finished product. It was a bit touch and go with people coming and going with our dogs, leaving gates open etc and not being apprised of when they would be there. Amazing company with great ethics. I hired them to do a pool start up and when the tech came he let me know the pool pump electrical had not been connected all the way so he could not start the equipment. He also noted other errors the pool restoration company had done. He still added chemicals but the owner felt bad for my situation so he called me and said they were not charging me at all. The tech took photos and the owner sent a detailed email of what the pool needs so that I had an inspection to provide the restoration company. The restoration company was trying to deny needing to do things but upon seeing that came out and fixed it. My pool is now up and running thanks to AZ Pools and the owner Vince. The owner answers all calls and texts back promptly. I'm extremely grateful, anyone looking for a pool company this is a great one you can trust! read more
