A week ago I called this pool company to come service my pool. I had requested for a pool chemical balance and more feed back on what exactly I would need for my pool to be done. I had a pool technician come out and look at my pool, he was responsive at first but did not get back to me after servicing my pool. He did not inform me of what my chemicals in the pool where at. Responded to my request quickly for someone to check out my I'm ground cleaner that was leaking and a failed check valve that was spraying water everywhere. Texted he would come the next day. The next day said he would come at noon then never showed up. I texted asking if he came or coming and he 'ghosted' me. No response nothing which seems similar to the other 1 star reviews. Luckily I kept an appointment for a few days later by another company that responded as well or Allen's would have left me high and dry waiting for someone to never show up. Agree with Larry C. I love Yelp and have used it and found superb services. However, it doesn't work if people are not providing all types of feedback. Here's mine on Allen's Pool Catering. Lasted one service and that was it. Allen was super responsive during the "sales pitch". Once I gave him the thumbs up, near silence. I told him a on Friday that he had my business via text. There was no response to the text I sent. Not even a quick thank you. Nothing. So on Monday, I reach out making sure that we are a go. He responds, yes and follows up later to get my details. But after that no further contact. I had no idea when he was coming for that first weekly service, we talked that he would try to stay on Fridays (my previous service day), but I also had told him I was open to whatever was convenient for his team. So even though we talked about this, a confirmation would have been great. In any case, I went with the assumption that Friday is the day. Friday rolls around and it's 2pm, and I call him because I'm wondering if someone is going to come over. I got a very terse text back that says to call the office and he gives me a number. I didn't even know he had an office. I call the number and no one picks up. I tried twice. I returned another text to say I just wanted to see if you were coming for service. He response then was a little friendlier and apologized that he was busy and said yes the technician would be over but was running late. The technician showed up at 5:22 (saw him on my security camera), and left at 5:34. My pool is not any better off than it had been with the previous company that serviced my pool for 3 years. Dirt and dust everywhere at the bottom of the pool. Looks nice unless you step in it, and then everything is stirred up. Mind you before I turned over service we talked about the problems (including a discussion about my Polaris cleaner), and he promised they'll get everything under control. I also told him how the previous company vacuumed that last service and how there are streaks in my pool. So when I saw the technician was there for 10 minutes and noticed the pool was no different, I was disappointed. So on Monday, I call the office. No answer and I let it ring a long time. I then text Allen to say I understand they taking over service and if we need to do an additional service to get the pool clean, I am willing to pay for it. I also ask if he can look at the Polaris cleaner (which again we talked about during the sales call that it was not working correctly). There's no response, none at all. I wait until the next day and call the office phone again - guess what, no surprise here - no answer. I moved on and another company sent someone over right away (like right away), he went through everything with me. And explained why the pool is so dirty. We walked through everything, like everything. This is what I would have expected the technician to have done with me on their first visit here. Very disappointing. Final note, after I text Allen to say he can bill me for the one service and to cancel, he doesn't respond either. Icing on the cake. read more

The response was reasonably quick and the new pump is working as it should be. The problems started after the installation. The owner (Allen) stopped by to check on the installation and to receive payment. Once I wrote the check I asked for the invoice and he asked me to provide my E-Mail address so he could E-Mail me the invoice. From that moment on I have had nothing but broken promises and excuses. I still have no invoice and am unable to register the pump for warranty. I have called and E-Mailed multiple times and have yet to receive any satisfaction. This is the first time I have looked for this type of service using Yelp and I am now convinced I made a huge mistake by trusting Yelp. read more

Always spending the appropriate amount of time on cleanings; some weeks in and out, some weeks like after wind storms spending extra time making sure the pool is pristine before they go. Love the picture updates. Last month had a problem with backflow plunger and emailed them at 10p. Called at 8a and the tech was already dispatched. I had done some homework on the symptoms and was confident what the fix was, they came in less than what the parts (and install headache) would have cost me if I tried myself. I was hopeful but greatly disappointed. I expected them to access the systems; the skimmer, lights etc . The 10 mins (tops) they spend at the pool does not allow for the attention needed to properly care for the pool.
