I want to start off by saying that Michael and his wife are amazing. They are so helpful when they are taking care of your pool. They would always do an amazing job when they are doing your pool themselves. When we started with them they even allowed me to use their pump at no cost to pump the water out of the pool. So generous. However over the last year or so they have, what I believe, gotten so busy that they have had to hire new people or contract out to other pool cleaners. I think this was due to the owners amazing work ethic. However as that change happened the service and cleanliness of my pool declined. Over that time I have had to maintain my pool more than when the owners were taking care of my pool. I had to fix a mold problem myself when one of their fill ins wasn't taking care of it. I have had to also get in the pool myself and clean the drain of things that should have been taken care of. Also I assume one of the randoms that cleaned the pool messed with the valves and it wasn't working very well. I got it back to perfect now and its cleaning perfectly. Maybe my lack of communication with them led to us having to part ways due to these issues and one other, but if a company hires someone to do a job the owners were doing before make sure they are trained well and can pay attention to detail. I would highly highly recommend them to anyone if the owners will be the ones cleaning your pool. However if you can't get them to do it themselves, sadly I can't recommend them unless more training for their employees can happen. read more

No not hire these people! As a single woman with a large diving pool, I made The mistake of hiring them after I saw his truck drive-by with his phone number posted on the side. They make you sign a contract which I don't have a problem with and then they tell you that they want to take every single holiday off etc... Which is absolutely ridiculous because the people with pools we typically use the pool for family gatherings etc. during the warm holiday seasons. My main problem with them is that when my filter broke he acted like he didn't know what happened and then told me that I needed to hire someone else to fix it! Leaving me on my own and even more money to spend! . The next two service treatments they left lots of dirt and grid in the pool and didn't even take the time to fish out the debris in the shallow end! Very lazy in my opinion Even after I asked him to remedy the dirty leaves at the bottom of the pool since I was paying them $115 per month! So I went and head and told him that I no longer need his services. When I hired my new pool guy he was very certain that these guys broke my manifold and gasket for my filter he said it had to of been someone pushing it down really hard. So that just goes to show that they're not honest and they do not take care of their clients! Run don't walk away from these people! From now on I'm only getting word of mouth referrals from my friends and neighbors not some phone number off of a truck that I see ! Update! After posting this Review- As you can see the owner is very Juvenile and Unprofessional! He in return attacks my character and my work- Wow! Just goes to show what a piece of crap this guy really is! Review for Waycool Pools: My pool desperately needed a cleaning to get the calcium deposits off the tile and what I thought to be an algae problem taken care of. The whole experience went really well and smooth! I worked with Michael who was really responsive. An honest guy who came out and saved me money by telling me I didn't need a chlorine wash. WayCool Pools came out when I requested a quote to do some maintenance on my pool and were very communicative and accommodating to scheduling. Before arriving, as they said they would, they called ahead of time to confirm arrive. Once at our home, they were very knowledgeable and polite. My concerns were addressed and after testing, I was told there was no need to do anything until at least next year. Waycool really is way cool! I found them on yelp and got 3 other contractor quotes to choose from. They had great prices and quick service. They immediately performed a needed acid wash and filter clean. No hassle they showed up and knocked it out and have continued servicing the pool. They gave some pointers on my equipment and reset all the timers and valves so they were doing what they were supposed to be doing. My filters have the best vacuum pressure they have ever had! Well hopefully my review sticks to this page. I have a 1996 pool with all the original equipment and the sand filter has been leaking from the pipes causing us to lose prime for some time now and I finally wanted to get around to having it looked at before disaster struck. I submitted my project and sent it out to like 10 companies on Yelp. Many responded but WayCool Pools was ready to have a conversation right away and I sent them some pictures to review. Since I live close by they decided to come over right away. This was after 5 p.m. on a Wednesday and they took a look at the issue. They recommended I replace the unit. Fixing it just wouldn't have been economical. I then ordered a new Pentair cartridge style filter. The installer came out Friday afternoon (this was Memorial Day weekend) and not only removed the old filter (and lots of sand) and disposed of it but had the pool up and running in just a couple hours. I certainly appreciate the quick response because some agencies don't check their Yelp messaging very often and/or keep very strict office hours. I hate to be the lone disent, but I was not impressed. I liked Mike. But he can't fix anything, which most pool people can. Then, without telling us or getting our consent, he "sold" us to another pool service company. I found out about it from the other company when they showed up to clean the pool. Two weeks later, Mike hasn't given our key to the new person. After reading his reply I have more questions for Mike. Is the new person lying? He has told me that he simply took over our business, not that he is working for you. And if so, shouldn't you have told me. As far as the bars, you didn't tell me that you wouldn't put them in, you just didn't do it. With the skimmer basket in place they would not get pulled into the plumbing. I stand by my review. Someone seems to be lying to me. I obviously don't know for sure who it is. Mike came over and brought me the key. He did apologize. In the seven years we have lived in Arizona we've had three different pool companies. Waycool Pools has gone above and beyond any other company that we have been with. They respond to my text messages in 24 hours or less sometimes within minutes of me asking a question. I have been with a few pool maintenance companies and was recently in the market for a new one when I when I took to Yelp after my current company would not help me. i stumbled across Way Cool Pools and Mike, as I looked at the pictures and read the reviews I was convinced they were the one for me. I called the number and spoke with Mike who said that he could be at my house to give me a quote. I got the quote and he explained that my pump was shot. Mike quickly made some calls and had a solution that was not only just to replace a rebuilt pump with no warranty but a Pentair that would give me a 2 year warranty and the monthly electrical savings like a VSP pump and much more efficiency. Again update almost a month later. No lawyer no civil suit and now they violate laws on contacting me even after they have been told to stop. They just think their allowed to do what their mood says to do. They also say they don't use acid yet there was a box of 4 one gallon jugs of it sitting in our side yard waiting for them to use to scrub the empty pool. I've never seen a company claim they are so innocent even after there's visual and photographic proof. Oh yeah they will say post them here so they can work their excuse out ahead of court proceedings. I called Way Cool Pools to get an estimate on a drain and acid wash. Mike said he would be at my house at 4:00 and he was here at 4:00 for the estimate. When he looked at the pool he told me that an acid wash wasn't necessary. All it needed was a chlorine wash. He could have easily given me the up sale but he didn't. He completed the work in a timely manner. Explained everything he did and gave me advice on pool chemicals. I've already recommended him to my friends.
