We have been taking our 9 year old Bichon Frisé, Bella here for a couple of months and we love this place. Great energy and a welcoming environment. My dog is my baby, so I wouldn't trust her with just anyone. Crystal is our groomer and she is really awesome with Bella and always takes great care of her and has her looking fluffy & beautiful every time! Your dog deserves better I dropped our Maltese off at his appt. time of 11:00 on Saturday. She said to expect him to be done in 3 hours. When I called at 2:30, she said he was next in line to be groomed. He had been waiting in a small kennel for 3 and a half hours! Ridiculous! She texted an hour and a half later and to let me know my dog had been waiting. No phone call was made to notify me that he was FINALLY done. I was upset, the lousy groom cost $70 (I have 2 dogs that are groomed regularly- that's expensive) and my dog had diarrhea and was exhausted for the next 36 hours due to the terrible experience. I will take the time to drive to Furry Beginnings - no kennel policy and the groom is done in 90 minutes. Better groom at better prices. Save your dog the stress!! read more

First let me start off by saying the owner, Kim is a pleasant person. My mother has been taking our dogs here for years and it has not always been bad. They would come home with nicks in their paws from time to time and although we did not appreciate it we understand that it happens sometimes. But the last couple of times we have taken them it has been a DISASTER. The second to last time one of our dogs came home not being able to open one of her eyes for a couple days. She was in clear discomfort and it was so sad. But oh boy this last grooming was the worst of them all. We get a call from them that our dogs tail was cut so deeply that they took her to the emergency animal hospital. She is still recovering and has been in a cone which disables her completely because of how timid she is. Kim paid for the bills and was very apologetic about the situation but this should still never happen during a simple grooming. Might I add that our dogs are very easy going, sweet and old. I would imagine some of the easiest to groom resistance wise, which makes this incident even more frustrating and sad. It not only traumatized our dog but caused her and us a lot of pain. Even when their groomings would go alright they were usually there for a very very long time. Overall, Kim is a kind person but that does not make up for what our dogs have endured by going here. I would HIGHLY suggest taking your pets elsewhere. read more

I have been grooming my two yorkies for 8 and 13 years. I got a sheltie about a year and half ago. Needless to say that the sheltie absolutely went Cujo on me if I went anywhere south on him. Tina did an outstanding job and was very patient with him. I took him a second time and his temperament improved drastically because she built up his trust. TL;DR: They hurt my dog and didn't tell me about it. My toy poodle loves hiking and camping, but our last backpacking trip left him extremely dirty with lots of thorny corkscrew-type seeds stuck in his fur. Our usual groomer couldn't see him soon enough, so I went ahead and made an appointment with this place. BIG mistake. Before leaving my dog there, I told them why he was so dirty and also warned them about his moles. My dog is an older little guy and he has a number of moles all over his body that have to be trimmed around carefully. I told them it was ok to leave the fur a little long around those to avoid nicking them. When I picked him up, he was all cleaned up, trimmed and looked fine. However, when I got home and got a better look at him? TWO of his moles had been cut and were still bleeding. He was licking the one he could reach for days. I'm sure he yelped when they cut him--did they not notice? Why didn't the groomer tell me? Also, not only had some of the thorny seeds not been removed, but some of them had actually been driven INTO his skin, probably while he was being bathed (no, they were not in his skin before--he would have let me know!). I ended up having to remove EIGHT of these over the next few days and he had to wear a cone while the little sores healed up. Those were hurting him a lot too. These were two things I had specifically mentioned and asked to be given extra attention. Most of the reviews are very positive and who knows, maybe the groomer was having a rough day? But that's not a good enough reason to carelessly hurt my dog and then either not notice at all or notice and choose not to tell me. I won't be bringing my dog here again. read more

I only give them one star because at least my two dogs came home clean. After being quoted a price for grooming upon picking up my dogs the lady owner became very rude saying their prices went up in January. The price was quoted in March 2002. She was yelling and shouting at us in front of other customers and her employees were very embarrassed. If this is the way she treats customers....she will lose a lot of them. I did 12 yrs of customer service for a major airline...this is not the way to maintain customer confidence. read more

This is absolutely the greatest mom & pop grooming shop. The owner and her employees are extremely welcoming, kind, and loving to my fur babies. They take excellent care of them, take their time, make my babies comfortable, and of course, make them look gorgeous. Logan specifically grooms my two doodles, and they always look great. We've been bringing our dogs here for almost 20 years, and we really like the job they do grooming our dogs. Holly has been our groomer for years. We can usually get them in the next day, and they're usually there three or four hours. It doesn't seem like they have a very high turnover in their workers, and they seem to really like dogs. The only thing I didn't really like today was the woman who was taking the money from people kept yelling out the tips customers had left to the groomer, which was a little embarrassing. They don't always do that, though. I would highly recommend this place for dog grooming. read more

This morning we dropped off our two rescues for grooming. This was our second time at Aardbark Grooming. We set the appointment two months ago, at their last appointment and had Logan write down the date on a card. Our rescue that Logan was to see has severe anxiety. When we arrived at 9 am, we could hear two groomers arguing in the back that neither had time to groom one of our dogs. We never received confirmation. Logan came out front and rudely let us know that we were an hour late and he had no time to groom our dog because he needed to leave for a wedding. We told him that the appointment was for 9 and not 8 and asked why we weren't called for confirmation or called to ask why we weren't there at 8. He continued to argue with me that he was too busy working on four dogs. He finally let us know that our dog will be taken care of, but how he was inconvenienced due to his wedding plans. This was very unprofessional and we would never recommend this groomer. We will not be coming back. read more

I took my two pomarians to Ardvark grooming and was very disappointed in the job they did, especially on my brown and tan they didn't bath him or trim around his neck and head or his tail, will not take them back, the older tan one is 14 yrs. Old and he coward down and didn't want to be left, I used to take them there and Angie took real good care of them and did an excellent job, and both dogs loved her she is more an animal person.!!! My husband and I found Aardbark online and thoght we would try them out. We live very close by and we love to support local businesses. I would never ever in a million years take a dog here! My little mutt mix was terrified! He's been groomed many times before and I guess his intuition told him something. The staff was difficult and very rude. We picked up our dog and he hadn't even gotten a haircut! But we were charged for one. Instead of calling us saying they weren't able to shave our dog, they went ahead and just bathed him, shaved half of his butt and charged us full price!
