I love AAA! I wouldn't leave home without it. I've been a member for almost 40 years. However, their insurance services leave a lot to be desired. I switched my car insurance from State Farm about 3 years ago. Depending on who you are talking to there you never get a full answer. I switched to save money and ended up losing money. My son bought a car and I put him on my AAA insurance. Being 24 he had to pay more than twice my insurance. He had a fender bender and they doubled his rate. He canceled the policy and got a better rate State Farm. I called to inform them that he canceled. Then, in November they did an automatic withdrawl of $557.80. My insurance was about $100, but they took the whole amount. However, when they attempted to take the money on auto pay, it wasn't there so they canceled me. I called and they told me that they needed proof of insurance from State Farm. So, I went and presented the proof. I was told by Carlos Ruiz, a AAA insurance rep, that I had to pay for my son for December and that they would refund the difference. It never came. I called again and rep said that there would be no refund and that they applied it to my overall yearly total. Buyer beware! You're better off with a real insurance company. What rip off and terrible experience! Of course, I am now back with State Farm. read more

Lazy, careless employees. Taking 30 min break while long line at 10 am. I saw manager fighting with one. But she said I don't care. Wow when I first got here they said 10 min wait. I went here today to renew my auto registration. I checked in and waited in a long line only to be told rudely by Juan that he wouldn't renew the registration for a car I own with a friend. He was eager to see insurance to me but insisted that my friend had to be a member to receive any service. I showed that the car was on my insurance and indeed mine but Juan was snotty and dismissed me to move on. 18 years with AAA and nothing to show for it. I have renewed this car registration before without any issue at this office. Completely unnecessary attitude and a complete waste of time. Don't bother with these people they could care less about your business. read more

I've written a glowing review about this autoclub before, but this is specifically for the homeowners insurance. I had a flood. Without even checking the broken pipe they determined it was long standing damage. I'm filing a complaint but really? I used to have State Farm and they came out immediately. I do not recommend them for homeowners insurance. They are fine for car insurance and do to your DMV work, but a home is your most valuable asset in most cases. Just unacceptable. When I mentioned this to the company coming in to fix the damage they said that AAA is an automatic denial for every claim. They are pulling out of Florida entirely so perhaps they are insolvent. I have no idea. But it's not a good idea to put your money when they won't pay out claims. read more

I just went to the Burbank AAA to register the used car I bought from someone in Arizona. I've been a AAA member for decades. I spent about an hour waiting my turn and then having the AAA employee inspect my vehicle. As she is entering all the information in the system, a manager arrives, looks at the title from Arizona, which is in my name, and says it's fraudulent and that I need to call the police. I ask him why he thinks that and he takes a photocopy of the title and shows me that it says void all over the copy. I explain that's likely due to Arizona not wanting people to make copies of vehicle titles and passing them off as originals. He says there's also something wrong with the number and the font. Plus, he says, their system asked for a manager approval, which would only occur due to fraud. I leave, call the person I bought the car from - we're both freaking out. I search the Arizona DMV records AND THEY CONFIRM THAT I AM THE REGISTERED OWNER!! I expect better from AAA. I will be returning to the AAA and demanding the firing of this moron who falsely told me the vehicle I bought and is in my name had been stolen. I can't believe he would make such an accusation! Very irresponsible. I have multiple AAA insurances. I may have to rethink my patronage of they allow this employee to continue working here. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. My husband is currently stranded as he has been for the past 5 hours . We called triple a several times and l have been waiting for 5 hours . We are not in a deserted area but the middle of mid city Los Angeles . Why it takes 5 hours to get service I have no idea ? We were first told two hours then told there would be s rush order of a half hour .after waiting and no tow truck came we were told that they understand our frustration but we will have to wait another 2 hours . This is not a feee service but a membership I stupidly pay for yearly . What exactly do I get out of it ??? No idea . Please save your money and just call a tow truck company on your own(which I had to do because I'm not staying outside my car in a bad neighborhood after10pm) . I normally don't write reviews but I just wanted to give a big THANK YOU to Lillian for helping me with renewing my registration. It was my last day before my registration expired, and I "responsibly" went to AAA right before closing. I arrived 15 minutes before closing time and when I got to the window, I realized I didn't pull out cash to pay. Lillian, the person helping me told me that the nearest ATM was across the street, and I should hurry before they close. I ran as fast as I could, grabbed the cash, and ran back. At 5:01pm the doors were closed and I lost all hope. Luckily, a customer was exiting and so I walked in. After busting through the members door, I was told to leave. Right before I left the front door, Lillian ran over and told me she could help me. She renewed my registration on the spot and I was out the door in less than 5 min. I don't know what to make of this site. It's always crazy-crowded & the staff is not organized intuitively. You sort of need to know exactly what you need before you go in because ... good luck navigating the place. And, of course, the sales people may or may not listen to you when you talk. Only positive experiences at this location...I mean, seriously, who wants to go to the DMV when you can come here? Pay your registration, get great auto insurance rates, buy life insurance (and have your medical check right here in a private room!), and get passport pictures and get maps/guides for all your travel needs. I've done it all at this location and the staff is very helpful and sweet. Huge parking lot which always seems full- but trust me, you will find a space! It's across the street from Starbucks and El Pollo and Pavilions. Convenient hours, usually short wait times and great service. I'm glad they are in Burbank! read more

This review is for Auto club services only; I do not have AAA insurance. Having said that, this place rocks! Huge parking lot, well-staffed and efficient location for DMV registration -- you'll walk out with your new 'year' sticker within 10 minutes of walking in. Also a great place for paper maps (all free), passport photos and other DMV stuff like title transfers and personalized licensed plate ordering (why not? get one!). At least once a year, I either have a dead battery or lock my keys in the car -- on those occasions, you have more than paid for your AAA membership. When you add all the free DMV services, it is a win. read more

Because I had to go a little bit out of my way the folks at Triple A Burbank offered to waive the fee for taking the photos. I didn't even ask for that. How nice! read more

Today i get flat tire at 11:30 p.m. So i call for towing my car to my house which is only 2.5miles . I have been waiting for them to give me an update ,they never contact me until 3:34 still nothing. It make me think why should i pay for membership.I call for many time and they told me that they can't give me eta. Already 4 hours waiting. Every time i call them,they are so rude. Called several times starting Mar 2020 to updated odometer reading as we were not driving as much as before due to COVID19. I was told that I will get refund. Now in End of July I called to check on refund check status and they said, they were not taking odometer readings. But that's not what I was told & several times I called they never mentioned that to me. They even gave me the refund amount. This is so wrong as we used to commute long distance and insurance is charged by the mileage. So we are not getting refund on Mar ~ Oct, 7 months worth. I think this is the Glendale AAA's evil twin. I waited here FOREVER to hand in a paper that said I need temporary handicap parking. I sat and sat and sat amongst old ladies who were doing the same thing. Why was this place jam packed in the middle of the day when everyone was at work? The soft jazz Kenny G. music gave me a serious headache. Maybe because it was combined with the guy behind the counter who was telling everyone EVERYTHING about himself. I know he is left handed, but his teachers wanted him to be right handed. I also know something is wrong with his pancreas and that the woman he told that to had cancer, because he told everyone that she did right after she left. I finally heard "Last call for Danielle N!", which shocked me because there had never been a 1st or 2nd call. The woman behind the counter claims she called me but whatever happened to the Cocktail Party Effect I learned about in Linguistics? You tend to hear your own name- and if I missed it fine.. but my boyfriend also missed it? I don't believe she called me more than that one time! It was 6 dollars for the pass. The woman didn't know what she was doing so it took awhile to get it. I was so happy to get out of there and agreed with my boyfriend that we would never return. read more

Terrible customer service at the main Burbank office. Went in to get advice on a cross country driving trip for route, lodging and attractions. We went in one afternoon and were advised of a 2 hour wait or we could come in 1st thing in the morning when there is no wait. was in line before opening the next day and first for trip advice. Snotty and rude receptionists still had us waiting nearly an hour. Then we were bounced around between their trip tik people and travel agents, neither of which could apparently help us if the other hadn't helped us first. Complaints to the manager did nothing as he was self serving and smarmy. Got so frustrated, we walked out. No value in being a AAA member anymore. Literally my recent trip to the DMV to get a Real ID was more pleasurable and efficient than going to AAA. Way to go Automobile Club. read more

I visited AAA on 2/17/21 (after 4pm/They close at 5pm I believe): I waited in line, but it was a breeze. Less than 10 minutes outside. I went for their DMV express service. The staff was wearing masks and gloves of course, and social distancing is enforced. Everyone of their staff members were helpful even in such a fast paced environment. read more

Last week I logged on to the AAA website and made a three-day reservation in the Berkeley, CA area for my son's graduation in May. This weekend my wife reviewed the reservation and unfortunately, I made a mistake and made the reservation as "non-refundable". I would never have made this reservation knowing it was non-refundable. So this morning (Monday) I contacted AAA on the phone and they, in turn, forwarded me to Priceline. Evidently, Priceline is the service they use to book hotels. I was passed around 3 or 4 times to people within Priceline and in the end, after being on the phone for 46 minutes, none of them could help me. I told them I would NEVER use Priceline ever again! Then I called AAA back and explained again what happened. The very nice lady placed me on hold for about 4 minutes and when she returned she repeated everything the previous 6-7 people told me. "Because of the contractual agreement they have with the hotel, they cannot do anything for me." I guess 45 years of devotion to AAA did nothing to help my mistake. These companies tell you over and over they are here for you and you are their number one concern, yadda, yadda, yadda. Well, no more. I will NEVER use AAA for me or my families travel needs. I know a very good and responsible local agent who I should have gone through in the first place, who I will be going to from now on for ALL my travel needs!
