After the big rains earlier this year, we found one of our rooms smelled really bad and had soaking wet carpet. ServiceMaster came out the next day to do an inspection and found that water had leaked into the wall and flowed into the floorboards and the crawlspace. They set up a blower and de-humidifier in the room, gave the impression there were no urgent issues, and then took their sweet time to give an estimate for their machines and any repair work. We got the source of the leak fixed by a roofer, and then waited for word from ServiceMaster. After getting the estimate more than a week later, I decided to get a couple of other quotes. I did a Yelp search and found A2Z Restoration and their stellar reviews. They came out, did a much more thorough inspection and found the water had actually damaged adjacent areas as well (the walls in the garage and a bathroom), and now there was a visible mold issue - apparently water damage needs to be addressed within 72 hours to prevent mold growth. They gave a ballpark estimate, which turned out to be more than our insurance deductible. So, A2Z recommended going through insurance. In the end, we didn't go with A2Z due to a streamlined process and warranties provided when using an insurance-partnered company. But, A2Z definitely knows what they are doing and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them! read more

He was very thorough and I would've loved to used them but they are very pricey and I was paying out of pocket. I received a lower quote but Im obviously not prioritizing saving money and take a gamble on my house. Omri was very sympathetic, patient, and understanding. He suggested I at least put down some dehumidifiers and maybe open up some baseboards so it'll help until I decided what I was going to do. One year ago I had NO hot water and investigated my 12 year old water heater and found water standing in the drip pan. I have a son-in-law living with me who is a plumber. We turned off the water heater and drained it. We removed it and purchased another. It was anchored on a boxed-in stand that was sealed on top of a concrete foundation. He opened the top of the stand with a crow-bar and I was going to take photos of how many spiders there might be inside. I immediately knocked him out of the way and hammered back down the lid. My flash revealed BLACK MOLD all inside. I investigated many mold specialist and decided to phone A2Z Restoration. Afik S., the owner answered the phone at 10:40 pm and allowed me to share the above experience and send the photo I took. He said he would come then but since I had rapidly contained it, we agreed to meet first thing at sunrise. He arrived, surveyed the damage and informed me of the process to eradicate this growth. Gave me a quote and said he would return that day to begin the restoration process. The cost was minimum for this small contained area within a 10x10 foot area. He worked for hours quarantining my home and safely removing the toxic materials. He then sprayed antibiotic cleaners and then dried the entire area with driers for three consecutive days. He left without any trace of ever having been here. It reminds me of the Dr. Suez's Cat in the Hat story. I can't recommend A2Z Restoration enough. Afik is an amazing professional. I had a water pipe break and potential sewer and mold problems. I called several places early in the morning (7am). Afik picked up and was able to schedule a time to stop by the following day. Although the reason for the visit was primarily potential sewer problems, Afik was able to quickly determine that the water leak had caused mold to grow. I am so very thankful for Afik's help in dealing with a water damage and mold mitigation in my kitchen. We had a drain line from our kitchen start leaking and water collected in the crawl space leaving a pretty bad odor. A2Z was responsive and came out in a timely manner to clean up the mess. They placed fans around the vents to the crawl space, created negative pressure and placed a fog underneath the house to sanitize the entire space. Furthermore, they discovered mold growing on the underside of the floor beams throughout the crawl space and provided photos to show their findings. We hired them to go under and remove all the mold, which involved sanding all the beams. They were very transparent in their work and provide multiple photos at the end of each day's work. It can be very stressful when facing a situation such as this, but the way A2Z handled the situation was very reassuring. We were in the process of selling the house and all the photos provided really helped with the disclosures of the work that was completed.
