It's you all that make your business stand out above the rest. From the very beginning, working with Chris and Alma, all emails and conversations over the phone were professional, and easy going. They were both so easy to work with. Everything went perfectly. On the day of installation, I had made a mistake on my address, so I received a call. Alma was very forgiving and said no problem. Drake and Duane came by in just a few minutes after the call. Upon arrival, Drake and Duane went to work, respecting my property by laying out floor covering where they worked and removed all the rubbish. They gathered the window they needed to remove and neatly placed all the parts on the side for me. They needed to go in and out to grab supplies from their trucks and each time, again, respectful of my house, they removed their shoes each and every time. When the installation was complete, Drake explained about my new unit and answered all questions, and said if I ever needed help to just give them a call. Drake and Duane, you were awesome! Contacted Malama AC to service Mitsubishi AC because wasn't blowing cold…read more After 2 hrs, I'm being told by technician that circuit boards (2x) need replacing & replace the unit (5 years old) Tried to convince me to buy Fujitsu as Mitsubishi was back order. When they left my AC was inoperable and my calls for help were ignored. The woman texted me that unit should not be run(?) and said she was sorry. I'm an elderly caregiver and said I would contact a contractor for a second opinion. Contractor came in two days, had my AC up & running (under warranty) in minutes. 1 1/2 weeks later, Matt calls (?) They were very quick in sending me replacement quotes for Fujitsu and Mitsubishi trying to make me commit with a down payment(?) NO! Also quick to send me the bill for technicians who disabled my unit and if you're a day late you get an overdue notice. Consumer Beware!

Myra (office manager) was very sweet and got back to my quote and questions very fast, explained to me whats was included with maintenence cleaning my split AC indoor and outdoor units and was able schedule maintenance with my day time preference in 2 days. They partner with Hawaii Energy and gave me $150 off instant rebate for maintenance cleaning both my indoor and outdoor units, which made their rate very competitive compared to all the other company quotes. Cleaning day I was notified in advance when the technicians were on their way. The 2 technicians were professional and came on time with their company KK air conditioning truck and van. They were both very nice and patient with my 2 curious toddlers and dogs. The cleaning work was phenomenal, and both indoor and outdoor units were squeaky clean when they were done. 3.5% fee for credit card payment and received an email invoice receipt. Im very grateful to the KK air conditioning team and will definitely be calling them again. Thank you KK Air Conditioning!

In mid May 2024, I had our central air conditioning serviced. I contacted this company after…read morereading the reviews. The appointment was made very promptly and Myra was very friendly. On the day of the appointment, we noticed the two technicians were consulting with someone on the phone. We found out later it was the owner of the company. Long story short, they were confused about the drain lines and had to spend additional time "unclogging " them ( which we were charged for). We paid over $500 for this "service"! We were grateful for what we thought at the time was their due diligence and thoroughness. I even wrote a very complimentary review on their website. Fast forward to August 31, 2024 when we discovered a leak originating from the upstairs ceiling. The origin of the leak was an overflow of the drain pan from the air conditioning unit because the drain was not working properly! I immediately called KK air conditioning to let them know and Keith the owner came out. He informed us that the installation of the condensate pan was improperly installed (this is not true because this is not a new installation and we have had it assessed by two other AC companies since then and they did not mention improper installation) which caused the leak and that the technicians cleaned out the secondary drain because the primary drain was difficult to access as it was underground?!? I asked him why weren't we told this at the time since we're not the air conditioning experts and he replied, "they're just technicians " . Keith felt he was doing us a BIG favor by not charging us a fee for coming out to check on this problem. The cost for the damages of the leak was over $53 thousand dollars and took 3 months to resolve. Our homeowners insurance was increased 278 percent for 5 years!

I decided to contact the installer because the time from on to AC blower actually working exceeded 5 mins. I contacted KW on Aug 4th and they slow rolled me until finally showing up to look at the unit on Aug 19. The technician left saying he contacted the manufacture (Rheem) and he would get back to me. Well today, Aug 20 my system is completely down. I called KW again and they said they would order an electrical board and fan motor. Overall service response time has been POOR and now I'm out of AC for who knows how many days until the parts arrive. If they would have simply responded to my request for service at the beginning of the month I would not be without AC.

Overall, great staff and service! Tai (Manager) was a huge help from the very beginning. He was able to provide me with multiple quotes & possible design layouts for different split systems to look at my options and work within my budget. Not only that, he was very knowledgeable and gave me a lot of info about AC systems, warranties and suggestions on installation. The workers were fast with installation as well and was able to work within my schedule. In the end, I decided to go with a Fujitsu tri-zone system for my townhome so that I'm able to have multiple indoor units but stick with 1 outdoor condenser as my association has restrictive guidelines for split AC systems. Plus, Fujitsu had a better warranty. I'd definitely reach out to them for maintenance when that time comes and on any future projects.
