Dylan, through a freak accident, injured his toe nail, but was back to work shortly afterwards. Amazing work ethic and attitude! 2. There was an issue installing the unit downstairs as my wall was not plumb. But, Larry McGiver'ed it and made it work. They also installed the shroud covers plumb & true with Larry advising me that the covers would not cover some of the old paint. He is honest, capable, and so refreshingly easy to interact with: it reminds you that there really are truly nice, professional people in this world even in times when you start to doubt that. He and Air Solutions Hawaii were first recommended to me by my cousins for a job at my motherʻs house. Her two A/C units had both failed, ugh. Air Solutions doesnʻt work on those sorts of systems, but Larry went to the trouble of explaining how he *could* replace them with the wall-mounted Mitsubishi A/Cs, figured out how he could reuse some of the existing piping, and wrote up a comprehensive quotation, but also said it probably would make more sense to have another company (and he recommended one) replace the existing in-ceiling units. Even though I knew my mom wouldnʻt like the look of the wall-mounted units, I came really close to using Air Solutions on the basis of how much I appreciated his directness. (And the company he recommended worked out well, too, which was refreshing.) Fast-forward to one of the wall-mounted units conking out at my house. I knew immediately who I wanted to use, and Larry came out quickly. It was raining and muddy, and accessing the compressor with my steeply-sloped yard was a pain, but he was good-natured about it. He told me nearly all the time itʻs a simple fix, and showed me where he figured it would be--but this was one of those rare times. The wall unit itself had croaked. I decided to replace the compressor along with it so I didnʻt have the same outcome/different cause soon, and Larry got me on his schedule as quickly as he could. He and his son came out, efficiently replaced the compressor and the wall unit, everything works again, and now Iʻm excited to have him maintain all of my units so I donʻt have to stress about a recurrence. Oh, and he also handled all of the paperwork to get the warranty taken care of, and included the HECO rebate in his pricing. I am pleased to provide a whole-heartedly positive review of Air Solutions Hawaii. Back in Sept my parents out in the North Shore was in need of a Mitsubishi ductless AC unit for their 2 story home. I asked around my immediate family and got a recommendation. Got in contact with Larry and scheduled an appointment. I was surprised he was ok to drive all the way down to the North Shore for an estimate. Larry did tell me in advance that he wouldn't be able to support the install until October due to several other job already scheduled which wasn't an issue for me. I have to give a HUGE shout out to Larry who is the nicest and most honest business owner I have met in a while! We purchased through-the-wall AC units but needed them installed in our apartment. After reaching out through Yelp, Larry gave me a call and explained that in our situation we should just finish the installation ourselves. In his expert opinion, it was better for us to finish the job ourselves rather than have to hire a technician and pay a couple hundred dollars for their time.
