Trusty C S Mechanical to the rescue...again and again! The air conditioner in our bedroom was running warm instead of cold. After calling C S Mechanical, Reid sent Brian over in about one hour! So helpful! He quickly diagnosed a possible leak in the A/C line so we decided to get a new Mitsubishi unit to replace our old Fujitsu. After ordering a replacement, JayR came within 2 days to remove our old unit, mount and install our new unit, and explained how to operate and maintain our new system. We are now enjoying the comfort of a cool night's sleep! Yay! So impressed with their dedication and hard work! I had two split units installed and and while the installs went well, good crew with quick, hassle free install, decent price, and a nice finish inside I requested rubber bumpers be put in between the compressor and the base on which it sits as the compressor sits on a roof right next to the bedrooms. I wanted the rubber bumpers put in to reduce vibration and have been told this is a common practice for locations like this. I was promised by multiple texts, and an email that they would be installed but they never were. I don't know if it was a timing or staffing issue but when the owner of a company says he's going to do something and then doesn't follow through that makes it very hard for me to recommend a business. read more

Extremely Extemely Delayed Review of Bryan Date @ CS Mechanical. A few years ago, our family wanted to escape the Hot Humid Hawaiian Summers and decided to finally install a Split AC System. I had done research and had a few companies come out to give us an estimate. We installed a total of 4 Mitsubish Splits Upstairs and 1 Mitsubishi Split downstairs. I had done research, spoke with friends and ultimately decided on the Mitsubishi System which are amazingly quiet, efficient and reliable. Bryan was the estimator for us and he is extremely patient, customer service oriented, knowledgeable, and accommodating with installation requests. I didn't want to have any of the piping on the exterior of the house for a cleaner installation and he said he was able to run the cooling lines in the attic space and drop them down to each unit. It is this kind of attention to detail that I look for when working with a contractor. Fast-forward to the day of installation, Bryan was onsite to oversee the installation and made sure that our requests were fulfilled. It was a team of 6 installers that were all friendly, professional, and respectful to clean up as they worked. When you live in Hawaii, air conditioning is a must as the summers can get really hot. Plus if you want to keep the dust as well as pollen out having an a/c can help with that too so you don't have to open your windows. I had a problem with one of my split systems and I remembered two of my neighbors had this company install their systems so I called them up to see if they can do trouble shooting. I spoke to Reid one of the owners and we scheduled for someone to come out that week. Unfortunately something came up and they called to let me know they had to reschedule for another date which was nice to know so I'm not waiting around for nothing. Loved the communication. On the 2nd appointment the worker that was supposed to come out was falling behind and wouldn't be able to come at the time that we scheduled for. Reid felt bad and had some time so he came out instead of one of his workers. That was a very nice gesture and much appreciated. He took a look at the unit and found it had a leak. He got the unit up and running. He also gave me a handful of options of changing out the old units and getting the new more efficient ones. They work with most of the major brands of air conditions like Mitsubishi, Fujitsu, Daikin, etc. From looking at my neighbors set ups and from speaking to them, C S Mechanical does a good job. I usually don't write about companies other than restaurants, but decided to write this review because of the great service. After talking to a few people I knew that did AC, I decided to search on yelp and found cs mechanical. I made an inquiry through yelp and Reid got back to me within hours. I did my homework and did get other quotes and asked a lot of questions. Reid was very patient and answered all of my questions. After my husband and I decided to go with cs mechanical, I let Reid know we were ready and asked if we could still get the prices he quoted us a little over a month. Luckily, he said yes and we were able to get our AC units installed in a couple of weeks after that. On the day of the installation of our living room unit and master bedroom unit, Reid came and introduced himself and introduced his workers which I thought was very professional. Overview: Compared to other local AC companies, CS Mechanical offered the lowest install prices. They have a knowledgeable crew that works quickly and carefully to install the units both indoor and outdoor. The owner/manager Reid clearly puts customer service as his highest priority and was very communicative to ensure we were completely satisfied with the product and final results. Why we hired: We needed to replace two outdated split AC units and add three additional units in a two-story 4 bedroom house. We received quotes from 2 other companies at the same time and CS Mechanical gave us the lowest quote for the Mitsubishi product with the lowest labor costs. Payment: Total cost for 5 indoor units (varying in power/size) plus 3 outdoor units (two were dual systems) and labor was about 15K. This included removal and disposal of old systems, the new systems, the outdoor tubes, remotes and manual, and full install and testing. Card or check accepted. Service: Quality customer service that went above and beyond expectations. We provide feedback on how the outdoor tubes were routed and they worked overtime to ensure it was just the way we wanted. Great communication, respectful of property and space. Quick and effective service. Products: We have had the Mitsubishi units installed for about 3 weeks now and they are amazingly powerful and extremely quiet!!! Compared to our old units these are energy efficient and offer lots of different settings for fan power, angles of vents, and temperature. The outdoor units are also very quiet. There is a small fee to add screens to protect against damage from small creatures (lizards) going inside. Other: Keep in mind that these units each have a tube that runs along exterior of home from indoor install location to the outside unit. There is also a second tube required for draining the inside units. You will need to either paint the tubes to match your home or provide paint to the company to have them paint the tubes to blend in with the house. This will likely be an added fee. About 4 years ago we had our split ac installed by CS Mechanical and had a wonderful experience with Reid and crew. Fast forward to 2022, it was due for a cleaning. My husband and I saw commercials for ac cleaning and read reviews so it kind of scared us on just how much out ac cleaning would cost. I reached out to Reid and asked if they did cleaning and if not, if he could refer me to someone. Thankfully THEY DO SPLIT AC CLEANING! I sent him a picture of my ac and the model info. He responded with a rough estimate and had me set up and appointment with Byran. Following weekend Bryan came and did an awesome job with the cleaning. It was approx a 2 hr cleaning and he gave me great pointers regarding cooking and running the ac at the same time. He said to just be cautious because the cleaning cost can increase or the oil from when I am cooking can build up so bad that the ac can't be cleaned and the coils will need to be replace or the unit itself can break. When you're gonna invest a big chunk of change into split A/C, relying on Yelp Reviews is crucial. I also chose C.S. Mechanical because their estimate was very competitive and the estimator Bryan was very professional. He was very helpful and candid in answering our questions including placement of the equipment. We originally were going with Fujitsu but the units were on backorder. Plan B was Mitsubishi which is more $ but Bryan gave us a good deal. We are glad we went with Mitsubishi afterall cuz it's better from what we hear. Installation took 8 hours with at least 4 workers. Their work was clean and conduit work nicely done. We are beyond happy in how it turned out. We asked for an estimate Sunday night, the estimator came out Wednesday. Estimate emailed 2 days later. Then installation done the following Friday. Interestingly - a referral from Cosco for a repair of a Daikin AC unit (since Cosco doesn't do service - only new installs). But I am happy to have received that referral, since Reid and the team provided great results! - Reid from C S Mechanical would not look at repairing the AC due to the age (over 10 years old) and concerns around guaranteeing work. - Jimmys and Pristine Air troubleshooted but could not fix the split-system AC. - We simply needed a new condenser and so a few more texts to Reid allowed him to come out the next day to quote the system, and recognizing the conditions with our baby, was fortunate enough to snag the necessary unit and arrange a team of three to come out on Saturday to help with the urgent need. - The three guys showed up on time (7:30 am) and worked until about 1:00 pm to remove the old unit and install the new unit. They were all professional and cooperated well with the condo's rules. - Reid came out personally to ensure all was working well and that the temperatures of each indoor unit produced air of less than 55 degrees! A lot of local companies deal with Mitsubishi and Fujitsu, and to a lesser extent, Daikin - we chose C S Mechanical because we wanted to stay with Daikin, and get an installation done as quickly as possible. C S provided the great service, professionalism and arranged their schedule to meet our need at a reasonable price without trying to upsell any extras or contracts. I've been meaning to leave this review. It's been over 4 months since our install. I like to give some time to make sure things are working properly. Bottom line, this is a great company. I had a big install 8 mini splits and multiple condensers put in. Overall they did a terrific job. They had a big team and it was done in great time. Everyone was professional and great customer service. Reed the owner is a good dude and honest as well. I had a central unit crap out at another location and he was able to fix the problem as well. We had some hiccups with that one and he was willing to refund the entire amount if the system wasn't working after his repairs. It ended up running flawlessly. I've used C S Mechanical 3 times to service/clean our AC units in the past couple years. They've always done top notch work and seem very knowledgeable. In one instance, they determined fairly quickly that a gecko had short-circuited the board in one unit. Aside from replacing the board, they also convinced me to spray silicone over all the boards to lessen the chance of that happening again. Thus far, it has worked. In a second instance, I thought my system was broken again but it turned out it just needed a good cleaning. Between that and two times where they've told me that units did not need to be cleaned (they weren't that dirty) I feel like they are extremely honest and not just trying to jack up costs. The techs who've serviced our units have been completely professional. Most importantly, my contact (Bryan) has always been responsive and quick to reply to my texts to schedule servicing. Great communication by Bryan and owner Reid of CS Mechanical. Careful work, honest and efficient too! Appointment timing is the reason for the 4 solid stars. Sometimes if you call or text and they're in the area, they'll stop by asap to assess the issue--while this is great, it's also a bit rushed with needing to coordinate entry with tenants and get keys onsite vs having to wait a few days for another potential opening. Also, if you have an appointment time, sometimes this also potentially means that's the time when the worker begins making their way to pick up a part and commute time to site, so if you are thinking your appointment is at 11:00am, the individual assigned won't arrive until just after 12pm, and the fix may take an unknown amount of time if things do come up (1-3 hours). That said for planning purposes, their financial estimates are on point and much appreciated! So these are the folks to call for AC installation, cleaning, and questions / fixes / maintenance for installed units, but do your due diligence when planning and scheduling so that you know what to expect if you're on a tight schedule or budget. Quote process was quick and through and included everything we needed to submit for HOA approval. On install day his team showed up around 7:30am and operated like a well oiled machine throughout the entire day and finished everything by 3pm. Absolutely FANTASTIC local business!!! I can't say enough about how awesome these guys were! This review is not for a full home system. Our system done by CS was meant for cooling our main living area, but the cooling definitely pushes further if we close off some doors and such. Our floor plan is a little challenging to do the whole house, especially within our budget. Either way, this is a wonderful start, and we may eventually eliminate our existing window units to go full whole home a/c. But...this change has made a massive difference & we're not worried about the hotter months ahead now! My neighbor had a system installed by CS, and when I asked how things went, we had to see about getting them to do our place. Our neighbors were totally pleased, and praised their customer service & pricing (and the job quality in general), and we feel absolutely the same! Bryan, Nick & Chris were awesome with their consideration & professionalism. Bryan worked very hard to make sure our install went as planned, and even made a couple extra trips to be sure we were happy & understood what what involved. We were admittedly were a little difficult to work with with our limited scheduling, but Bryan came through & hooked it all up. "I love my Fijitsu!" We've all heard that line, it becomes more apparent when the time has come "to bite the bullet " and install a split zone AC unit. We decided to put in AC after dealing with the beginning of the summer heat. The question became- who should we go to? After checking Yelp and also friends , I decided to get quotes from three AC companies, one of which was CS Mechanical. After getting a quote from Company #1, I then talked to Reid at CS mechanical to set up an appointment. Reid recommended what would work best for our situation and went into detail as to how the installation would be done. He gave us an option to avoid drilling holes into the roof, something the other company didn't offer. They try and avoid holes to the roof where possible- which sounded great to me. He spent quite a bit of time with us explaining the process and his quote was very competitive with the other company. His answers to our questions were direct and honest and we appreciated that he put some thought into his responses and even came back with an alternative to our concerns. We were so comfortable with his answers and presentation we decided to go with CS without getting another quote. When the day finally came to install the units the crew worked quietly and as efficiently as possible and were very careful especially when they were inside the house. Although I put out requests to several companies, all responded back that they did not provide this service. However, Reid responded back and asked more questions. He then came out to the house to assess the situation. They do not usually install exhaust fans, but he took the time to research them and offer me options and a quote for installation. The bottom line was he installed the exhaust fan in my garage and there was a noticeable improvement in the temperature in the garage! He thought so highly of the fan and it's success that he was going to install one in his home and add it to their list of services they offer! I really appreciate this company. Outstanding company! I first was introduced to C.S Mechanical 3 years ago when my brother installed his Ac Unit I'm the home. I loved their professionalism and manner at the time so I decided to call them for my Ac unit install for my bedroom and parents. I sent out a text for a quote and received a reply right away. In three days the company had Bryan come out to do an estimate. To my surprise, Bryan remembered installing an AC at my home. And it's been three years. I was very impressed by his memory. We needed help again on very short notice to get the unit in our family member's room running. Even though I'd contacted Bryan a little before, I forgot to give him the "green light" to do the job. By the time I remembered there were really only 2 days to get a new unit ordered and installed. Bryan made it happen - he figured out how to get it ordered and installed in 2 days and installer JR showed up exactly on-time on the day, finished the job, cleaned up and left everything clean and the way it was before, with the new system working perfectly.
