All of the units are Mitsubishi. The first two are about ten years old. No big problems and when I did have a leak once, Shobu's responded promptly. The workers are very courteous and professional. They listen to what you have to say and work diligently. I also like that they are very neat and clean up their work area when they're done. They showed up when they were supposed to and took about a half day to finish the new installation. The new Mitsubishi is even quieter than my first two. It cost about $5800 but I was on my third window unit. The window units cost me about $700 each time. Split a/c's costs more but the noise difference and especially the room cooling makes such a huge difference. I would recommend Shobu's and Mitsubishi a/c, if you're looking for a split a/c system, it's a good combination!

One reputable company quoted me $1,100 for the same scope of work--using a comparable LG 12,000 BTU (LW1222IVSM) unit. That's a huge price difference, and it raises serious questions about Cool Living's pricing practices. Always get a second opinion before agreeing to any work with them.

Techs arrived on property at 8:35am and I received a call back from someone in office named Natalie who was less than apologetic and less than trained in any type of customer service. If you have a contract for multi-units, you would think punctuality would be the foundation of your service. Fine, it's Hawaii, we've got traffic and every other issue on the road but be better in your Aloha to your customers because I would never recommend this company even if they were to underbid a project and we were to save money. If you have no accountability, no aloha, and no remorse... you ain't getting no business for the future.

The service technician informed us that the unit was "dirty." Not run of the mill dirty but no cleaning had happened in years dirty. But the tech could not service the unit because he has too busy but his manager would be in touch. Once the main office was contacted. The manager was not available because he had left for the day although it was during hours of operation. The secretary that answered was not able to contact the manager or provide an estimate for the service required. Bottom line is I spent thousands with this company only to realized the service was fraudulent. No not hire A/C Essential Services.
