I've used RMI for HVAC maintenance service for over a decade, but recently I had an urgent problem when we were resurfacing our lanai and had to move the freon and electrical lines for the a/c. The other guys weren't qualified to do that, so I called RMI and explained it was kinda urgent because the other project couldn't proceed until the lines were moved. This was in August, which is busy season for HVAC companies, but since all their technicians were busy, the owner Randy came out himself on a hot afternoon to move the lines and do some simple rewiring. This was all done on a short 4 hour notice, and they didn't charge me an arm and a leg - it was very reasonable. RMI really did me a solid on this one, and their regular maintenance service (every 12-18 months) has been excellent as well. I can highly recommend RMI both for their competence as well as their aloha. Two big thumbs up, and 5 stars. Mahalo, RMI! read more

We have had 2 installs and 1 annual maintenance and they were all very good. I had to have one installed in kind of a weird location but Randy found a solution and it worked out great. I forgot the name of one of his crew but he is also great and is usually the one there in the end and also forro annual maintenance. Sorry, I forgot your name but thanks for your great service! We are looking forward to doing another room. read more

It's been 2 weeks since RMI installed my Mitsubishi split air conditioning system and I am very pleased with the product and excellent service that I received. The unit works well and performs just as you said it would. Your quote was fair; the value I received, priceless, as I finally am able to find some relief from the stifling heat despite my living space's high ceiling that retained much of the sun's afternoon heat. Thank you Randy and staff for your efficiency and professionalism, and taking extra care cleaning up afterwards. I appreciate you taking the time to explain my space's unique cooling needs and how to best achieve my cooling goals. Highly recommend! Suz read more

Best installer! If you care about having equipment installed properly, defiantly call RMI Mechanical. Randy is the best A/C installer and service for Mitsubishi. I have used several other service techs and they have broken my covers, and forgotten to put back screws and even hoses. Randy's team installed and cleaned my unit so well, I thought it was new. He even replaced the cracked covers on my ac. Can't say enough good things about RMI! read more

I'm a return customer to RMI Mechanical due to the excellent service received on an earlier Mitsubishi split AC install for my living room that was very reasonable. Maybe not the lowest price in town but you will get excellent service for the money. Randy is easy to talk to and can accommodate your special split AC installation requirements for a very satisfactory end result. I think I'm more on the particular side of most customers and he was able to accommodate. I met with Randy at his office to go over some details of the installation and we were able to work to a mutual solution for the quoted price. His attention to details and thorough explanation from beginning to end in simple terms makes for a happy customer. Calling him or his office was convenient for me because they responded in a timely manner. Highly recommended. read more

5 STARS WAY UP.... Randy & Crislyn are great to work with. Estimates are fair and the work is professionally done. They answer all of your questions. Highly recommended for your air conditioning needs. read more

I've been a customer of RMI Mechanical for nearly 10 years. They've installed Mitsubishi split systems in both my home as well as my business. Both systems have performed flawlessly for the entire duration! I've had them visit on a regular basis to clean and maintain both system. They even call me to schedule and remind me when we're due for a cleaning! From the initial installation through all of the service calls, their staff has always been professional, courteous, thorough, and punctual. The reason for this 5 star review, which is long overdue, is because of my last experience with their work. I recently purchased a new home which did not have air conditioning. Since I was already doing a bunch of other renovations, I was physically on site during the installation of the systems. This allowed me to not only see what took place but also helped me to understand how much work is actually involved in the process! The incredible amount of care taken during the installation is what truly impressed me! I can honestly say there were no short cuts taken! Those guys bust ass!!! Climbing through the attic in the middle of the hottest time of the year has to seriously suck but having to climb up there myself is where I realized how much they really take pride in their workmanship! I could see where it was literally impossible to take short cuts! I personally would not want to spend an extra second in that attic but it was obvious they took the time to do it right. The stuff you normally can't see was done as clean and neat as the parts that can be seen! I honestly can't comment on pricing since I did not even consider getting another quote but having worked with RMI Mechanical for as long as I have, I have gained a new appreciation for their work ethics and especially their installation ability! If you are shopping for a Mitsubishi split system, I would highly recommend Randy and his staff! read more

I am so happy that RMI Mechanical installed my air conditioning now, rather than later on in the hotter months. I love my new Mitsubishi split duct air conditioning. It makes me wonder why I waited so many years to do this. The crew was very professional, wore face masks and observed social distancing. Best of all, they were excellent communicators and answered all questions to my satisfaction. The exterior ductwork was designed to be aesthetically pleasing. The crew was in and out in one day, and I have been living in comfort ever since. Thank you, RMI! read more

We got quotes from several different Mitsubishi split AC vendors and we chose RMI. There pricing was very good and Randy gave me a ton of options on installation. Randy at RMI did a fantastic job installing our AC. He was prompt and courteous. But what I valued most about his service was the respect he had for my time and property. He answered all my questions pertaining to the installation and gave excellent advice from beginning to end. I've dealt with many contractors and Randy at RMI has earned my highest respect. I would not hesitate to use RMI again. As the 5 stars indicate, they are highly recommended. Quality service and an excellent product...That is what I received from RMI. read more

If you need air conditioning, then this is the company to use. They're knowledgeable, fast, courteous, and reliable. I had my old split system replaced with a new Mitsubishi unit installed by Randy (owner). He and his helper were professional and efficient in every respect. Randy sent me a preliminary proposal within two days and he was here as soon I told him that I would like to finalize the contract. I was fortunate that he had an opening so the job was started within five days and completed in less than 4 hours including complete clean up and hauling away of the old equipment. I had received estimates from two other firms and the prices were comparable but I went with Randy because he showed care and was responsive to all of my requests. They even installed a mahogany panel on the wall where my old system was mounted to cover the void. I definitely recommend RMI Mechanical for your AC needs. read more

Randy and his team were great. Installing air conditioning is a big expense, but we believe our money was very well spent with RMI Mechanical. Their work was done on time, as scheduled, quickly, and neatly. Randy gave us good advice about the equipment we needed and how best to use the units once they were installed. He answered all our questions (even the silly ones) with patience, good humor, and helpful information. If we ever need to replace or repair our new system, we will definitely call RMI as our first choice. read more

RMI installed two Mitsubishi split AC units to my home. Both Randy and his electrician worked tirelessly thru the heat of the day to complete the job by 2:30pm. Old school work ethics are hard to come by these days. RMI combined esthetics and professional knowledge to install both units to my complete satisfaction. His office staff is responsive, courteous and all calls are always returned. I am happy with my AC and relieved to have chosen RMI as my installer. read more

I have a 13 year old golden retriever that is the world to me. He's old and his back legs are getting really weak. We have a window ac upstairs but it was getting so hard for him to climb those stairs. I thought if I could get an ac installed downstairs it would make life so much easier for him. I called around and when I called RMI Mechanical I was so relieved. Spoke to Mr. Iwamoto and explained my situation. He was so understanding and compassionate! He managed to come over that morning to give me an estimate and as faith would have it I was so fortunate that he was able to install the ac in a very timely manner. After the ac was installed I slept downstairs that night with my dog. The following morning I noticed that he was much happier and was more energetic. I think it was a combination of not having to climb those stairs and feeling more relaxed. I have never wrote a review before but I am so happy with the service I received I had to share my story. THANK YOU RMI MECHANICAL for your awesome customer service and compassion!! read more
