Update on my previous 1 star review:…read more Wow, within 30 minutes of posting my poor review, I received a phone call by the owner, Chris. He genuinely expressed how important customer satisfaction is to him and apologized that the quality of work performed on my a/c installation was not to the standards he strives for. He handled my complaint by listening intently to me and expressed that he wanted to earn back my business, restore my confidence, and start new. I accepted his offer of installing a new warranty replacement a/c unit at no cost and he would supervise the install personally. An appointment was immediately scheduled and in a matter of a couple of weeks (due to a/c not being in stock) Chris personally came to my home with his crew to deliver and install the new warranty a/c. I was impressed with his professionalism and genuine desire to win back my business and confidence. It was way beyond what I had expected! Now that is truly an act of customer satisfaction! For his honest concern and service, I am updating my review for Kung Fu Air to a 5 star!!

An updated review will be posted when the warranty service is completed. 10/6/26: Our initial experience with Chris at Kung Fu Air Service was about 2 years ago and was very good. Jump to August 2026 and response, service and accountability has been a nightmare. It took 2 weeks to get an appointment for a warranty service request and then when the technician showed up 45 minutes late, he said he couldn't do a diagnosis since he didn't have equipment in his van and would have to schedule another diagnosis appointment and then tried to charge us the $150 service call when he did absolutely nothing! After calling multiple times to get a live person on the phone, we were able to speak with Chris who sent the technician back an hour later only to find out he actually did have equipment with him to diagnose the problem and performed the actual service. We were then told it would take 8 weeks to get the warranty covered parts for our Fujitsu mini split unless we wanted to pay for expedited shipping. It is now October 2026 and there is no answer on the phone and no way to leave a message as the voice mail system is full. The AI assistant is completely useless and the phone system only sends auto texts that state "they are on the phone with another customer and a return call will be made as soon as possible" - 2 days later, no return call. We paid a $1200 deposit but are unable to get anyone at Kung Fu to respond to our request for scheduling the warranty service much less an status update on whether the parts have been received.

I called up APB and got a same day appointment. Trent showed up promptly. He pressurized the system and within 30 minutes found the leak in the indoor evaporator coil. He was very informative. APB will charge $200 for the service call, whereas the other company quoted me up to $970 to do the same task.

He was able to repair it in the hours that he quoted (entire dash needed to be disassembled) and got it working better than I remembered it ever working even when the truck was new! He showed me the part that went bad and told me to bring it in to get checked out again in one year (free of charge). Simon and his employee are ASE Certified mechanics, which is the gold standard for auto mechanics. Simon is a hard working, honest mechanic who takes the time to explain things and you don't feel rushed/forced to do anything. First off Vicky was just amazing in her customer service; she walked me through the whole process in what they completed in our laundry room. Her personality is contagious and she is the real reason I will not look any where else to service our Laundry room vents. When you think of hard workers you think of Sam and Renie. We need more workers like them. They showed me a before picture of my Laundry room vents and it was filled with lent , dust and all the that stuff left behind from drying your clothes and to see the after picture , I knew would be requesting this group in hopes they can be our regular technicians. Checked the cameras monitoring the front of my house thirty minutes before and after appointed time and no trucks were ever parked there. 3. Couldn't get out and ring doorbell? Either they had the wrong number, wrong house, or who knows. Lazy, incompetent, and a waste of time.
