That company failed to show up within the service window, and too late in the day to do any diagnostic testing to find the leak. The next available appointment would have been the following week. I called up APB and got a same day appointment. Trent showed up promptly. He pressurized the system and within 30 minutes found the leak in the indoor evaporator coil. He was very informative. APB will charge $200 for the service call, whereas the other company quoted me up to $970 to do the same task.

It was feeling not quite as cold and the fan seemed like it was working a little harder, so I wanted to get it cleaned before the hot summer months hit! I *hate* making phone calls, but the receptionist was SUPER nice, so that immediately put me at ease. Their quote was flat rate and very reasonable so I was happy I wouldn't be guessing how much it would come to at the end. She apologized for not being able to get me in the week I called but was able to fit me in the next week - which was faster than I had expected! The technician came at the quoted time and took about an hour, which is how long they had told me on the phone. It says something about other companies on island that this is a noteworthy comment! He was very friendly and worked quickly and efficiently. He showed me the visible spots he had cleaned, but the best thing is now our AC is back to being icy cold - I had to bump it up to make it warmer! - and it smells nice and clean. I paid in cash (there is a fee if you use card. You can also write a check if you prefer). We will definitely be happy to use this company again in the future!

She's knowledgeable, kind, and doesn't rush you off the phone. She seriously takes time for each customer to make sure the problem gets solved. Also, thanks to Damon for working with us. We're the type of family to pick a company and stick with them forever and I'm so happy we found this company for our AC needs. Although ACs are expensive, they always work with us to find the best solution to the issues we are having. They've been doing our cleanings and repairs for years now. Just wanted to say mahalo!

It was not the cheapest but I was impressed by their timely responses and no sales pitch. Very straightforward. I was given several dates and times to choose from and they scheduled me. Two techs showed up, a little early which was perfect, they got right to it. Super polite, took their shoes off. My AC's were filthy and gross. They cleaned and sanitized without leaving any mess behind. My refrigerant was low with a suspected leak, however that will have to be a next month problem. They urged me to top off and fix the leak as soon as possible and let me know what would happen if I didn't fix it soon. Message received and understood. Thank you Ultimate Air Conditioning! I'll be in touch next month! Ps: the AC was cold before but it is extremely cold and feels super clean now. He had a contractor here locally that installed it for us in about 3 hours. Our house is cool at night, and we don't have to have our A/C on. The cool ambient air from outside blows in and the warm air in the house gets sucked into the attic and out the vents. The fan uses minimal power, saves us on electricity and very efficient. The fan is quiet on the low setting. We do keep the fan on high (little loud) as soon as we get home but it's only on for an hour to cool the inside of the house faster. We are very satisfied with our fan!

I think the air conditioning wasn't working for about a week, but yesterday was the last straw. Father Adondee looked at me and said, "You'd better call someone." "Yes, Father!" I looked on my Yelp app for air conditioning repair and Jimmys AC Repair & Maintenance was the first business that popped up. This company had good reviews, so I called and they answered the phone right away. I told them that we were suffering and needed help. The receptionist said they would be there the next day... He stated that there's a flat fee of $250 plus tax to diagnose the unit. Okay... Thank you!!! Jimmy called before he came over. He was very professional and efficient. He introduced us to Jeff, his coworker that he was training. Cool! We showed them the unit. They opened the panel, and diagnosed the problem quickly! He explained everything well and understood that we would have to go through the Finance Council to approve a new air-conditioning unit. Jimmy understood that it would take time and that if we wanted to get other quotes and compare, other companies could be cheaper and that he's not the cheapest... but you get what you pay for... The entire process was quick, professional, and well organized, and the team communicated clearly with us from start to finish. He gave me three options: replace the coil, replace the unit with another used unit or replace with new. I chose new. As they were pressuring the system, I handed him a check for the estimated amount. Then they discovered three leaks in the outdoor condenser. Fortunately, his son managed to patch then with solder. Imagine my surprise when the cost was not increased for fixing the condenser.

He came out and spent 20 min looking at the system that was built with the house in 1999. He was very straight with me. He could help the system and do little tricks but it would maybe buys us a little time only. Better to suck it up and replace it. The good news? He could replace it with a more efficient system. The bad news? It was gonna take my stimulus for a family of 5 and then some. But it's Ewa. So you basically need air con to no die. He drafted me 4 options by the next day. It was done in two or three more days. His team was hard working and friendly. I recommended him to someone else that same day. He followed up a few days later and made adjustments. It save me money the first two billing cycles and then we got spoiled by how efficiently it was working and kept leaving it on 24/7. So that HECO bill is on us lol. Love this company!
