I am so excited that this wonderful new restaurant just opened up near me!! It's sooooo good!! Everything from decor, to food, to service was just fantastic. I loved the fresh homemade pastas! The truffle pasta was delicious and my boyfriend loved the seafood ravioli. I also tried it and it was to die for! I've tried the bakery as well and all of the pastries are so fresh. What I love about the interior is the bar you can sit at in front of the big wood fire pizza oven. The walls are lined with bottles of wine, and the bakery and coffee shop is attached. Just all around great vibes!! I definitely want to check out their happy hour.

I've been wanting to try this place since they opened. I had pizza and calamari to go when they first opened. Don't really like doing review from to go order so I waited until I dined inside. I remember pizza and calamari being good. Pretty busy but no waits so we got sat quickly. Someone brought water but was never told who the server was. It started rocky and not good because we sat for over 10 minutes and nobody came to our table so I finally had to ask someone who our sever was.. Then finally someone came. Ordered Ceasar salad and calamari to start. I was confused with the salad because it came on a pizza plate with huge lettuce. They were almost whole piece which made it ackward to eat. Dressing was drizzled on top so not all the lettuce got some on. Some of the large lettuce did not have dressings on them. Far as calamari it was nice and crispy outside and tender calamari inside.. Ordered Alle Vongole aka linguini with clam sauce and spaghetti e polpette ask spaghetti and meatball. Now I have to say the dish my linguini came in was little silly imo but far as the taste, it was 2nd best one I've had in the valley. Nice simple tasty dish. Spaghetti was also pretty darn good and soft flavorful meatball. Both pasta were cooked al dented which was nice. Ordered tiramisu for dessert which was not too bad. Decent amount of rum flavor, not too extra sweet. Over all the food was pretty yummy minus the salad. Little over $80 for two people. Little on the high end but taste made up for it.. I would definitely try this place again. Oh and I didn't care for the credit card sure charge they added to the bill but.. What ever.... It is what it is. Also stopped by the dessert/bakery side. Tasted the pistachio Gelato and I have to say it was pretty spot on and yummy. I will definitely come back and try that also.

Note that even though they open up early morning, their actual main restaurant does not open until 11:00am. Luckily, we did not have to wait long. This place is fairly large as it contains a cafe and bakery alongside the main restaurant. With the two of us, we paid $46 (includes tax and tip) for our meals. The rigatoni funghi was of above average quality. The environment was clean and the service amiable.

I was hearing wonderful things about this restaurant so we were looking for something new and different and decided on A Modo Mio. We came in a couple of hours before closing there's plenty of parking since this is located in the strip mall on Higley at Brown. We had no wait being seated and we had menus in our hands right away. This is one of two really nice Italian eateries and grocers across the street from one another the prices are reasonable but I wasn't really sold on the food and only because of the temperature of the food. 1. The charcuterie board consists of meats and cheeses both were really warm by the time it arrived to our table almost as if it had been sitting out all day. 2. The meatballs lacked flavor they were cooked but super bland. We ordered a cannoli for dessert that wasn't too bad but the filling for that was a little on the warm side. The server was nice, friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. You see the staff staying busy and the have a beautiful bakery and gelato area and what looks to be a wine tasting area for customers. My recommendation is maybe keep the charcuterie board refrigerated until the other half of the order is ready to go out i don't anticipate returning anytime soon there's too many other Italian food options on that corner.

Service was great! Wish there was a kids menu and you can create your own bruschetta like have a sample plate of 3. Bruschetta was good, wish the bread was toasted and cheese warm. The pizza is super thin you have to eat with a fork and knife, but great crust and flavor!! The margarita was so good! We will be back to try more of the menu and go to the dessert side. Clean and spacious, tables aren't close together.

    Don't Enrico pizza was DELICIOUS!

Another fun brunch today at A Modo Mio! Today our bartender/server was Izzi! We enjoyed the Calzone and Don Rico pizza, along with Pineapple Mimosas and my Favorite Beer Mosa! We love the ambiance and will definitely keep this on our list of go to places!!

    Salmon and spaghetti Puttenesca.

The first time we came here we really enjoyed the food and experience. On this, our second visit, and I was looking forward to the spaghetti puttanesca. I don't usually order the same dish, but the puttanesca was mind blowing. Eating it was an experience I had never had before. Imagine tasting a different salt with each bite. Capers, then Kalmata olives, then feta. I experimented by eating them alone or combined. We came back a couple months later. The added salmon to the dish. The salts overpowered the salmon. I would recommend brining and smoking the salmon. I know this is pointing at lox and cream cheese especially with capers. I attached pics of both puttanescas. I will be back. Maybe I'll play with something else or maybe it will be puttanesca part III. I know it will be good.

Remanence of a Butcher and Margarita pizza and Cesar salad. So yummy.

The food was amazing. We had two pizzas and Cesar salad. Service was top notch and the inside is so nice. We loved the selections of food, wine and drink. After dinner we went over and got a few deserts for the way home. Looks like a great place to meet up with friends, try some wine and pastries. Can wait to come back and try some pasta dishes. I'm so glad this is close to home. See ya again soon.

I ate at A Modo Mio for the first time and ordered the food for takeout. I ordered the Donna Mena and Don Enrico pizzas. They were both fantastic. I'm very particular when it comes to meatballs as I am Italian and used to really good home cooked Italian food and these meatballs are the best I've ever had dining out and come the closest to tasting like my home cooked ones. If you like meatballs, then you'll love these! They were flavorful and delicious. I've never had a pizza with three big meatballs at the center but with having kids, it was almost a cool feature as I was able to cut up the meatballs for them and leave their slice of pizza cheese. The Don Enrico comes with a little cheese filled calzone with ricotta and it was a unique feature and was delicious, you can tell it had a more fried taste. The dough on the pizza was absolutely delicious. Normally, brick oven pizza is hit or miss with me because often times it's more burnt and over cooked and crispy, but A Modo Mio was perfect and so good! Now, why I couldn't give my rating a perfect score has to do with price. Normally when I order pizza for $20ish a pizza, I can feed several people. These pizzas without any appetizers or other food, an adult can eat almost the whole pizza since it's lighter. We spent about $40 for two pizzas,, which could feed 2-3 people, so I could only see us eating here if we had a coupon or if it was a special occasion. Again, food was fantastic and unique, just not a place I could go often with a family of 4. As for the ambiance when I went in to pickup our food, it feels like a nicer Italian restaurant with the coolest brick oven stove I've seen. There is a bar area too. I would like to try the dessert in the future as they have a large selection of dessert! Delicious pizza and meatballs, just wish it was more affordable!

I love that they change their menu daily, it's handwritten and the details are posted on their Instagram page if you want to take a look before you arrive. Everything is made fresh to order! The day we had gone in, they had a few sandwich and pasta options available to choose from. My husband got the spicy Italian sausage ziti pasta dish and I ordered the chicken parm sandwich. The sandwich came out first; I really liked the marinara sauce on it. It was a bit difficult to eat but exactly what I was expecting and wanting. The pasta took some time to come out, but that was fine. The sauce was like a pesto vodka sauce, very rich & filling, and also tasty. We were both only able to eat half of each dish since they were both large dishes. I believe they only serve pasta dishes on certain days, so if they have them on the menu, definitely consider ordering one of those. They seem to have sandwiches everyday. It's a pretty small place with a few tables & some bar type seating. It gets pretty busy around lunch time, so plan accordingly. We'll be back again to try other items!

The dressing was the perfect paring for all the wonderful ingredients. Entrees included an order of Egg plant parmigiana over pasta. Portions are generous. My entree was tonight's special, prime rib ragu also a generous portion. We arrived at the host stand a few minutes before our reservation, but were told that there were no indoor tables available. If we wanted to be seated immediately, we'd have to accept an outdoor table, even though we had a reservation for indoor seating. We opted to wait because the weather was chilly by Arizona standards, and we were still recovering from the race. A couple of minutes later, another hostess approached us and asked whether we had reservations and were waiting. When we confirmed, she immediately left to find us a table, and we were seated very shortly afterwards. I thought very little of this until the owner came to our table and apologized for the issue. He was kind and sincere in his regret for the situation and was excited to tell us about the staff and the food. We were wildly appreciative of this attention to detail and service! We shared the potato croquettes, and they were everything I was hoping they'd be and more. (Light lore: I chose Pizzicata because I saw a picture of these croquettes on their online menu.) For dinner, my husband had the Travolta pizza, and I had the gnocchi gorgonzola. We both did that thing where we sat back in our chairs, breathed deeply, and declared, "oh dang, that's goooood." We were both so happy with our choices - I can't speak to the pizza, but that was some of the best gnocchi I've ever had. Pillowy soft in this perfectly nutty, cheesy, creamy sauce. *chef's kiss* For dessert, we shared the tiramisu, which was perfect in every way. If we weren't already walking funny because of the race, we'd have still waddled out of Pizzicata from happy fullness. The service, the food, the vibe - we're here for it and we'll be back the next time we're in Mesa.
