We selected A Budget Mover for my dad's downsizing move from his house of 50 years to an apartment in a residential community and we're so glad we did.  The owner Mike and his son were so friendly, personable, and efficient, which made dad's transition easier on all of us.  I called a few places to get quotes and as soon as I spoke with Mike, I knew we had the right crew. Mike came by the house in advance to see what we had to move and to provide a quote. On the day of, they arrived right on time and provided the garment boxes and large bins for the extras, which were a big help, as they disassembled and packed up the furniture. We recently moved from our 1st floor apartment in Huntington Beach to a 2-story condo several miles away. I got a call from Mike, asking us if he could come by to take a look at what we needed to move. I was impressed by this as none of the other movers that I contacted did this. He was extremely courteous, asked some basic questions and took some notes. After receiving his quote, we decided to proceed with A Budget Movers. Mike set up a time to meet our schedule and arrived promptly. His crew was very impressive and efficient. They packed and moved everything with care. They had no issues carrying heavy items up the stairs and arranged everything neatly room by room. After the move, there was an item that we could not find and thought it may have been left behind on the truck by mistake. After a call to Mike, one of the movers told us where it was in our bedroom. Mike and his team of movers Kyle and..( omg I forgot the other guys name) are the best. I was referred to Mike by a good friend in 2019. He took great care of my furniture and valuable items. I was really impressed and his prices are so much more reasonable than others. They work very hard to move things with care. They even wrapped my mattress and glass furniture in plastic to keep it clean and prevent breakage. Fast forward to 2025 I had to move again. I called at least a dozen Yelp 5 star movers and after speaking with them felt that I could trust 3 out of the 12. I decided to go with Mike because he's been in the business for 30 years, affordable/reasonable price, no hidden costs, responds quickly to calls and text messages, and so many other good things to say. Not only is Mike easy to talk to, I was impressed that his handsome sons Ryan and Kyle are also part of the family business. Another proof of honesty for me is that it's his practice to preview the job prior to the day of the move. That helps him prepare materials for the move, how many crew, and give an approximate length of time, etc. No one else does this and I've moved so many times before. Fast forward to move day, Kyle, Felix and Diego arrived early and waited patiently until I was ready to begin. I can totally recommend this moving company. We have used them twice to move our office, once to move our residence, and based on our recommendation, my mom used them, my aunt used them, my brother used them, and my neighbor used them. That's 7 moves in total and I can tell you that all went great. My husband originally hired them when they happened to cold call us at a time when we were getting ready to move our office. I never would have hired them had I known that's how they came to us (I only found that out later), but I am so glad we did hire them. They're a family business, which I liked. Mike came out the next day to look at what we had to move and give us a bid. We got a total of 3 bids and his by far was the best. I know it can be a little risky going with the lowest bidder. But I think they were able to undercut the competition because it's not a huge national moving company with huge overhead. With all 7 moves, their moving guys were on time, they come in at or under the bid (in which case they charge you the lesser amount), they don't break anything, and all really nice guys. Mike will give you tips on how to pack things up and label the boxes. Or you can pay their company to pack everything - which I would recommend. It doesn't cost that much more and saves you so much aggravation. The small extra charge is totally worth it. When you're moving, it can be a very stressful time. You don't want any surprises. You want it to go smoothly. Mike and his moving crew are really a pleasure to work with and most importantly - honest and trustworthy. These guys get it done, when they say they will, for less money then their competitors. What more could you want? All around, they get an A+. read more

I happened to have moved twice in the last three months and while my first experience with a moving company was beyond horrible, these guys have restored my faith in the idea that getting movers makes life easier. They came out and gave a competitive estimate for what it would take to move everything, then when they came to move, they did an amazing job. They took two breaks, though that is expected with how long they worked and how hard they worked. They had everything packed up efficiently and quickly, they were careful and never even came close to hitting or dinging either house. They wrapped all my furniture and were generally amazing.
