I have been visiting this nails salon regularly for the last year and a half now and will likely continue being a loyal customer no matter what part of the island I live. Their prices are reasonable as their pedicures range from $42- $48. They offer a regular pedicure , regular pedicure with callus removal ($42), regular pedicure with jelly ($42) and a deluxe pedicure ($47). I recommend the regular pedicure with jelly because I feel like I'm on a cloud with this treatment! The vibe is hip and very welcome to those who like Korean pop music and other pop music. I highly recommend asking for Vicky. She is so nice and always helpful. I told her one of my nails hurt from possibly an in grown nail and she took care of it right away. read more

This place is great! I'm not a regular mani/pedi person, but I've been to quite a few over the years. Parking is either meter parking in the front (limited) or paid parking in the rear. It's not a fancy spot by any means, but I was able to do a walk-in appointment. They weren't pushy with the upsell like most places. My technician did a great job. The foot spa didn't have plastic like most places... I'm hoping they sanitize between uses. Also - their prices weren't very clear. There was a bunch of signage with all different prices. $35 for regular (not gel) pedicure, $5 to remove previous gel as of 10/2025. Pretty reasonable as I did call around. They accept credit card. Wonderful service! Enjoyed a last-minute pedicure before I flew back home. It was also a good excuse to clean off the sand, which accumulated in my toes & feet, after 3 days of absorbing healing ions from Hawaiian soil. A great smoothie spot around the corner, too! *Only downside of this experience was the $25 parking ticket I got from an expired parking meter. (All paid, though! The service is impeccable, the work is fantastic. Went in to get gift cards before Christmas and got them for the family. When they went today we had made an appointment so there was no waiting. The place is small but well staffed. They had two pedicures and one manicure. One pedicure was regular -$30. One had special gel (quick drying) and special nail polish -$60 and the last was a manicure with additional nail art- $90. We had 4 certificates and the remaining balance was given back in the form of one gift card so it can be used again. I thought that was fantastic. The only complaint I have is that the salon has a strong chemical scent from the nail chemicals they use. The ac is on, the door is open but it's still so strong and can give someone a headache if not used to strong scents. The work is very good though and the time it took wasn't long. read more

I've been coming here for years and years! Linh and her staff is excellent! Lots of other nail salons are rough and I get cuticle cuts but I have never here. Their color selection is prettt awesome. I was really excited to come here after seeing some work across social media and came out shocked & disappointed. I've had gel-X for a while but have been getting hard gel fills done. I asked A&A to see if they did hard gel and they recommend I soak it off to do builder gel on my natural nails. I trusted them and told them I wanted the same exact shape with just a bit filed down from the ends. I looked at my nails at the end of my appointment, and I was in disbelief at how short, uneven (no apex - some are flat some are lumpy), narrow, and extremely crooked they came out. My natural nails that I spent years growing out are now ruined. I also asked for a design and the girl doing my nails was talking the whole time/on the phone that she forgot to do the design but at that point I just wanted to leave. Now I have to go to another salon to get them fixed, huge let down. read more

On May 17th, 2024, I went in to A&A Nails Salon for the second time to get my previous gel manicure removed (which I had originally written a positive review for, but I have now deleted) and get them done again for my senior prom. My appointment was at 2:30, and when I arrived early around 2:15~, many other girls in the salon had already been waiting long periods of time for their earlier appointments, but had not been attended to. They were understaffed and overbooked. I believe this is a mistake on their part, as it would not have hurt them to tell us that they were busy and short on technicians. Without consulting me about anything beyond what I was getting done that day (did not ask me about whether I had acrylics or gel on, whether my nails were sensitive, etc.), a lady quickly directed me to soak my nails in a bowl of acetone, which was very hot, and when I told her that it hurt, she simply told me that it "isn't that hot." I patiently waited until a male technician came and started to use an ELECTRIC FILE to remove my regular gel polish nails (not gel x, not acrylics, regular gel), repeating the process of soaking in acetone and then electric filing about 5-6 times over. This was my first time having gel manicure removed so I did not know until afterwards that this is an extremely UNNECESSARY and HARMFUL practice, especially as he was not experienced. I retracted my hands multiple times throughout the removal as I could feel the heat from the file on the skin beneath my nails, but he would just ask if I'm okay and continue instead of taking time to consider that it was harming me. When he finished the removal process, not only was there gel still remaining on the sides of my nails, but my nails were PAPER thin. I could bend them freely and this was my breaking point as my whole life, I have always had naturally thick, strong, healthy nails that hardly ever broke, much less BENT. I broke down into tears as the guy who had ruined my nails turned his back towards me and pretended like he'd done nothing. Other staff members came around, some asking if I'm okay, others telling me to "stop crying," but I was in extreme distress as my nails are something I take extreme pride in, and my prom was two days later on the 19th. The owner of the store, Lynn, eventually came in and spoke to me herself. She was the only one who seemed to remotely care. I told her that I did not want gel on my nails again if that would be the removal process, and she explained to me that you do NOT NEED an electric file to remove gel. Despite this, I still told her numerous times that I wanted to just go home and use a strengthener, but she offered to paint them for free, so I ended up just having her use regular nail polish instead of gel. I left the salon with my nails damaged long-term and a completely different set from what I asked for, with a few obvious mistakes/missing spots which I fixed at home in my own time. I believe Lynn did her best in this situation and I appreciated her greatly, but it would've been a lot more effective to just let me go and give me a voucher or gift card for future use instead of putting more polish onto my nails. As for the guy who soaked and drilled my nails down, screw you. I hope he gets fired because his initial carelessness, on top of his following behavior of ignoring my tears, truly show his morals as a technician and he does not belong at A&A Nails Salon. Below I have included two photos of my nail disintegrating after this, and another two photos of how long my natural nails have been able to grow out in the past (to prove that this is NOT normal). I've come here a few times before and I've seen Lynn and she's always very friendly. I tip big, I'm a good client! Today I went in to get my nails done with Tee or Tien whatever (sis with the glasses) because Lynn was on vacation. I had an appointment at 10am and when I walked in the other worker told me my appointment was at 10:40 am and Tee wasn't there. I said that's fine, however I have a baby sitter and I can't wait until 10:40 to start my nails. I suggested someone else doing my nails or doing my toes first to kill time and she said to just sit because Tee is parking and she can help me. Tee came walking in hot yelling at me saying "are you busy you can leave and come back later. she was shaking like she was upset with me. Whoever the other worker was must've told her that I was rushed which I was Not!!! I don't appreciate anyone talking to me like that!!! I was rather scarred from my first acrylic nail salon experience two years ago (never go to Eagle Nails in Kahala Mall!) and rarely get my nails done to begin with, so I've been skeptical to try acrylics again, but my experience here has definitely changed my mind for the better! I walked in with my friend (who recommended this place to me as a regular customer) on a Tuesday afternoon and there was a ~30 minute wait (totally understandable as we did not have an appointment), but they frequently apologized for and updated us on the estimated wait time. I asked for short-ish, almond shaped, natural colored acrylic nails and was super happy with the end result. Danny was a great nail tech---he was friendly, thorough, efficient, gentle, and precise; made good, natural conversation; and checked with me after every step to make sure I was happy with the shape, length, color, etc. I told him halfway through the service that I was considering getting a solid cat-eye color instead of nude, and he clarified that it would cost $25 extra, which was very honest and considerate! I went with the nude and my nails came out great---very even, clean, and exactly what I had in mind. The total before tip was $60, which was pretty reasonable (especially given the quality of service and the prices that other salons are charging). I would definitely come back for my yearly manicure lol and recommend this salon to others, especially if Danny is their nail tech! read more

Why did I switchto A@A Nails for my gel polish manicures and pedicures?Because it lasts. The other salons I went to the polish would start lifting in a matter of days. I wash my hands a lot, and just assumed that was the reason. But now that I switched to A&A my gel manicure last for weeks, and toes last over a month. I'm so happy with A@A nails! I used to live in Kaimuki and would walk here on the rare occasion of getting a gel pedi/mani. I live on the north shore now, but this is the place I will make the drive for. I've always had a very good experience. The gel pedicure and manicure always last and looks great for a few weeks. The leg scrub was a new addition, which I really appreciated, it felt really nice.
